Environmental studies, particularly the biophysical environment and human interaction with it. Papers dealing with international issues, or with nations other than Australia and those within its region, must have an Australian, Asian or Pacific perspective or deal with implications for Australia or its neighbours. Papers addressing theoretical and philosophical issues in geography are also sought. Preference will be given to papers which have a broad appeal to geographers, geography educators and people in cognate areas including Australian studies and environmental studies. Published monthly by the American Meteorological Society, the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology covers applied research related to physical meteorology, weather modification, satellite meteorology, radar meteorology, boundary layer processes, air pollution meteorology (including dispersion and chemical processes), agricultural and forest meteorology, and applied meteorological numerical models. The Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning is an international journal that provides a forum for the critical analysis of environmental policy and planning. It explores the environmental dimensions of common policies such as transport, agriculture and fisheries, urban and rural policy, all stages in the policy and planning processes from formulation to implementation, and the interactions between governments and markets, the strategies of non-governmental organizations and business in relation to the environment, and land-use decision-making. Competition in international markets was traditionally the realm of large companies, with smaller firms tending to remain local or regional. Internationalisation was an expansion option of interest to some enterprises, but seldom was it a competitive necessity. Many opted to avoid the uncertainties of competing in foreign markets, and simply kept their firms small and local. Traditional internationalisation theories, therefore, focused mainly on large multinational corporations, and were less pertinent to smaller firms. With the liberalisation of trade, however, domestic firms are threatened by international competitors that are penetrating formerly protected markets. Nowadays, internationalisation affects everyone, whether or not they wish to internationalise themselves. The threats and opportunities of internationalisation must be addressed.Globalisation is transforming the competitive environment of small and large players alike. As a result, internationalisation issues will continue to be increasingly important to business. Public policy agendas already include programmes to help entrepreneurs become successful at internationalisation. There is a growing need to understand internationalisation in the context of entrepreneurship, as well as large multinationals.Knowledge of how, when and why firms internationalise - either incrementally or not - will surely be the focus of energetic researchers. South Asian History and Culture offers a forum that will provide an integrated perspective on the field at large. The journal aims to bring together research on South Asia in the humanities and social sciences, and to provide scholars with a platform covering, but not restricted to, their particular fields of interest and specialization. Such an approach is critical to any expanding field of study, for the development of more informed and broader perspectives, and of more overarching theoretical conceptions. The idea is to try to achieve a truly multidisciplinary journal on South Asian history and culture, under which the established (e.g. economic history, politics, gender studies) and more recent disciplines (e.g. minority rights, sexuality studies) will interact and enmesh with each other. A focus will also be to make more mainstream the more recently developed disciplines in the field of South Asian studies, which have to date remained specialized fields, for instance research on film, media, photography, sport, medicine and the environment. Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology is an international journal which publishes authoritative articles encompassing the development of innovative uses of underground space and the results of high quality research into improved, more cost-effective techniques for the planning, geo-investigation, design, construction, operation and maintenance of underground and earth-sheltered structures.The journal provides an effective vehicle for the improved worldwide exchange of information on developments in underground technology - and the experience gained from its use - and is strongly committed to publishing papers on the interdisciplinary aspects of creating, planning, and regulating underground space. International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology is the first scholarly, peer-reviewed journal that publishes critical reviews of research literature in sport and exercise psychology. Typically, these reviews evaluate relevant conceptual and methodological issues in the field and provide a critique of the strengths and weaknesses of empirical studies that address common themes or hypotheses. The reviews present summaries of, and conclusions about, the current state of knowledge concerning topics of interest, as well as assessments of relevant unresolved issues and future trends. Reviews of research literature on theories, topics and issues that are at the interface with mainstream psychology are especially welcome.Submissions:Although research on sport and exercise psychology is expanding rapidly, it is difficult to locate comprehensive, authoritative and up-to-date literature reviews in this field. In an attempt to fill this major gap, International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology (IRSEP) welcomes submissions containing substantial (up to 8,000 words in length) critical and integrative reviews of the research literature in sport and exercise psychology. Ideally, such scholarly papers should summarise the current state of knowledge about a given topic or question, provide critical assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of previous studies in the field, evaluate relevant conceptual and methodological issues, identify emerging trends in the literature and outline potentially fruitful avenues for further research. Manuscripts that contain reviews of research literature on theories, topics and issues at the interface with mainstream psychological science are especially appropriate for the journal. Equally welcome are integrative research reviews that propose theoretical connections between different areas of research within sport and exercise psychology and/or between topics and issues in this field and those in mainstream psychology. The submission of papers on novel measurements, phases, phenomena, and new types of material is encouraged. Part A (Materials Science) carries papers where, in general, the phenomena and interpretation are on a microscopic or atomic scale, for example physical, mechanical and defect-related properties studied by techniques such as electron microscopy, indentation, differential scanning calorimetry and infrared spectroscopy. Part B (Condensed Matter Physics) carries papers where, in general, the phenomena and interpretation are on an electronic scale, for example optical and electrical properties studied by techniques such as electrical conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, nuclear magnetic resonance and photoemission spectroscopy.
