Journal of Popular Music Studies features work on popular music in its historical, cultural, aesthetic, and political registers. Its purview encompasses all genres of music that have been dubbed popular. The journal is also concerned with such issues as popular music's intersections with other arts, its relationships with old and new media, and its status as a field of research and critical writing. We welcome and encourage unconventional approaches (i.e. different from the standard scholarly essay) to these areas of inquiry. Each number of JPMS features book reviews, as well as occasional reviews of performances and recordings, and we regularly publish special issues co-ordinated by a guest editor or editors. The neurobiology of learning and memory is entering a new interdisciplinary era. Advances in neuropsychology have identified regions of brain tissue that are critical for certain types of function. Electrophysiological techniques have revealed behavioral correlates of neuronal activity. Studies of synaptic plasticity suggest that some mechanisms of memory formation may resemble those of neural development. And molecular approaches have identified genes with patterns of expression that influence behavior. It is clear that future progress depends on interdisciplinary investigations. The current literature of learning and memory is large but fragmented. Until now, there has been no single journal devoted to this area of study and no dominant journal that demands attention by serious workers in the area, regardless of specialty. Learning & Memory provides a forum for these investigations in the form of research papers and review articles.

The ultimate aim of cancer research is to eliminate this common and devastating disease from the human population. To develop more effective prevention methods we need to understand what triggers carcinogenesis. To diagnose precancerous lesions and early-stage cancers quickly and accurately we need to detect the earliest molecular changes leading to each type of cancer. To determine a patient's prognosis we need to appreciate which molecular changes affect tumour growth rate and invasiveness. And to tailor therapies to individual tumours we need to understand the fundamental differences, not only between a cancer cell and a 'normal' cell, but also between one cancer cell and another. All of these goals depend on a combination of basic and applied research. Environment and Planning D is an interdisciplinary journal that leads internationally in discussions of the relations between Society and Space. Space is broadly conceived: from landscapes of the body to global geographies; from cyberspace to old growth forests; as metaphorical and material; as theoretical construct and empirical fact. Interpretations move across theoretical spectrums, from psychoanalysis to political economy. The journal editors are equally committed to the nitty gritty of practical politics and the abstractions of social theory. We believe that this commitment is best achieved by keeping a balance between, and placing into creative tension, economic, political, and cultural analyses, as well as theoretical discussions and a range of empirical research. The journal is interdisciplinary; in recent years it has drawn papers from the disciplines of geography, cultural studies, anthropology, sociology, politics, international relations, english, architecture, planning, history, women's studies, art history, and philosophy. It is international in content, a feature that is actively pursued by an international Editorial Advisory Board. Debate is timely and lively. Recent issues include an exchange between David Harvey and Donna Haraway, as well as collections of essays focused around the themes of Animals and Geography, and Deleuze and Dwelling. Aims and Scope:The journal offers a platform for reporting studies of innovations and socio-economic transitions to enhance an environmentally sustainable economy and thus solve structural resource scarcity and environmental problems, notably related to fossil energy use and climate change. This involves attention for technological, organizational, economic, institutional and political innovations as well as economy-wide and sector changes, such as in the areas of energy, transport, agriculture and water management. The journal aims to tackle the most difficult questions, dealing with social, economic, behavioral-psychological and political barriers and opportunities as well as their complex interaction. The Journal of Property Research is an international journal. The title reflects the expansion of research, particularly applied research, into property investment and development. The Journal of Property Research publishes papers in any area of real estate investment and development. These may be theoretical, empirical, case studies or critical literature surveys. There are two major areas of focus: 1. Property investment and finance. This covers topics such as the characteristics of property as an investment class, forecasting of markets and property portfolio construction. Much of this research will be an application to property of techniques developed in other investment markets. 2. Land development. Annales Zoologici Fennici publishes original research reports, in-depth reviews, short communications and commentaries on different subjects from the realm of animal science. Although we also publish papers on specific topics (see the list below), our aim is to promote papers which, by using an integrative and cross-discipline approach, provide a picture of the past and present environment, and interactions amongst its components.

The Annual Review of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, publishing July 2010, aims to provide a perspective on the broad field of chemical (and related) engineering. It will address advances in applied chemistry and biology, with a focus on concepts, old and new materials, and/or processes. The journal will draw from disciplines as diverse as biology, physics, and engineering, with development of chemical products and processes as the unifying theme.

Applied Solar Energy covers main lines of investigations and developments on solar energy conversion and use: photovoltaics, thermophotovoltaics, water heaters, passive solar heating systems, drying of agricultural production, water desalination, solar radiation condensers, operation of Big Solar Oven, combined use of solar energy and traditional energy sources, new semiconductors for solar cells and thermophotovoltaic system photo-cells, engines for autonomous solar stations.

ASCE OPEN is a gold open access, multidisciplinary civil engineering journal that presents an all-encompassing civil engineering perspective on the built and natural environment. ASCE OPEN accepts submissions from across all disciplines of civil engineering and is particularly interested in original interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, or convergence research. Authors are encouraged to submit research that advances practical solutions to global grand challenges, including resilient and sustainable infrastructure, alternative energy sources, clean water and water security, climate change mitigation and adaptation, interdependence between infrastructure sectors, cutting-edge technology applications, and cybersecurity.
