IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking
The IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (TCCN) is committed to timely publishing of high-quality manuscripts that advance to the state-of-the-art of cognitive communications and networking research. Cognitive in this context means the applications of perception, learning, reasoning, memory and adaptive approaches in the design of communication systems. The transactions will consider submissions in the broad area of cognitive communications and networks, with an emphasis on taking holistic and possibly trans-disciplinary approach on design of complex communications systems. The core topics covered include (but are not limited to): architecture, protocols, cross-layer, and cognition cycle design for cognitive networks, machine learning and artificial intelligence for cognitive communications and networks, end-to-end and distributed intelligence at and beyond all layers of communications, software-defined networking, cognitive radios, spectrum sharing, trading and relevant economical aspects of networks, security and privacy issues in cognitive networks, novel emerging services and applications enabled by such concepts.
Journal of Language and Politics
The Journal of Language and Politics (JLP) represents a forum for analysing and discussing the various dimensions in the interplay of language and politics. The basic assumption is that the language of politics cannot be separated from the politics of language. The notion of ’Political Discourse’ does not remain limited to the ’institutional’ field of politics (e.g. parliamentary discourse, election campaigns, party programmes, speeches, etc.) but opens to all linguistic manifestations that may be considered to be political, provided that it is convincingly argued what makes them ’political’. In order to illuminate new and old forms of political discourses inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives and elaborated linguistic methodologies have to complement each other.Articles should bring together sociological concepts, political theories, and historical analysis. Methodologies can be qualitative or quantitative and must be well grounded in linguistics or other relevant disciplines. They may focus on different dimensions (pragmatics, semantics, social cognition, semiotics) of political discourse. Since political discourses overlap with other discourses, e.g. economic and scientific discourses, perspectives of interdiscursivity and intertextuality are considered to be important. Articles based on ethnographic studies will be particularly welcome.The Journal of Language and Politics welcomes review papers of any research monograph or edited volume which takes a discourse-analytical approach to the study of language and politics, as broadly conceived above. Neurocase
Neurocase is a rapid response journal of both adult and child case studies in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology. Four types of manuscript are considered for publication: single case investigations that bear directly on issues of relevance to theoretical issues or brain-behavior relationships; group studies of subjects with brain dysfunction that address issues relevant to the understanding of human cognition; reviews of important topics in the domains of neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology; and brief reports (up to 2500 words) that replicate previous reports dealing with issues of considerable significance. Of particular interest are investigations that include precise anatomical localization of lesions or neural activity via imaging or other techniques. Topic reviews are included in most issues. Alzheimer's & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions
The focus is original, feature length research articles, systematic reviews, metaanalyses, brief reports, narrative reviews, commentaries, letters, perspectives, and research news that advance the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and cognitive impairment. The journal will publish on topics related to medicine, geriatrics, neuroscience, neurology, psychiatry, clinical psychology, bioinformatics, and health policy as they apply to preclinical and clinical therapeutics. It will focus on discovery, therapeutic development, clinical pharmacology, preclinical studies, and the application of neuropsychology, clinical ratings, clinical trials methods, neuroimaging, biomarkers, clinical research informatics, and other interdisciplinary approaches to clinical therapeutics and outcomes.
Given the growing number of specialized manuscripts in the field of Alzheimer's and dementia research, TRCI provides an expanded platform for the publication of clinical translational research. TRCI encourages the submission of manuscripts that describe preclinical research with a potential for clinical application, research from early human experimentation (experimental medicine) that may advance clinical treatment and prevention of Alzheimer pathology, neurodegeneration, and cognitive impairment.

Previously published in two sections, Human Experimental Psychology (Section A) and Comparative and Physiological Psychology (B) the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology merged in 2006 to form a single journal.The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology is a leading international journal that publishes original articles on any topic within the field of experimental psychology. The journal publishes Rapid Communication articles (under 3,000 words) reporting novel techniques or ground breaking results, as well as substantial experimental reports. The journal offers an Open Access option, approved by the Wellcome Trust and other funders.The journal is keen to encourage submissions across a broad range of areas in experimental psychology, including those reporting work on human and animal subjects. Cardiology Journal
Cardiology Journal (formelly Folia Cardiologica) is a scientific, peer-reviewed journal covering a broad spectrum of topics in cardiology. The journal has been published since 1994 and over the years it has become an internationally recognized journal of cardiological and medical community. Laterality
Laterality: Asymmetries of Body, Brain and Cognition publishes high quality research on all aspects of lateralisation in humans and non-human species. Laterality's principal interest is in the psychological, behavioural and neurological correlates of lateralisation. The editors will also consider accessible papers from any discipline which can illuminate the general problems of the evolution of biological and neural asymmetry, papers on the cultural, linguistic, artistic and social consequences of lateral asymmetry, and papers on its historical origins and development. The interests of workers in laterality are typically broad. Submission of inter-disciplinary work, either empirical or theoretical, or concerned with problems of measurement or statistical analysis, is therefore also encouraged. The journal publishes special issues on particular topics. The first issue was published in March 1996, and six issues are now published every year.The editors encourage the submission of dissenting opinions and comments that directly relate to papers that have been published in Laterality. The editors reserve the right to terminate an interchange after a comment and response to the comment. Special Issue Call For Papers: Cyberbullying: Definition, Measurement, Correlates and Development The European Journal of Developmental Psychology is an official publication of the European Society for Developmental Psychology. It publishes innovative original theoretical, empirical, methodological and review papers dealing with psychological development and developmental psychopathology during infancy, childhood and adolescence. It also publishes papers on social policy based on developmental science and which are relevant to education, health or well-being in infancy, childhood and adolescence. Gesture
Gesture publishes articles reporting original research, as well as survey and review articles, on all aspects of gesture. The journal aims to stimulate and facilitate scholarly communication between the different disciplines within which work on gesture is conducted. For this reason papers written in the spirit of cooperation between disciplines are especially encouraged. Topics may include, but are by no means limited to: the relationship between gesture and speech; the role gesture may play in communication in all the circumstances of social interaction, including conversations, the work-place or instructional settings; gesture and cognition; the development of gesture in children; the place of gesture in first and second language acquisition; the processes by which spontaneously created gestures may become transformed into codified forms; the documentation and discussion of vocabularies of ’quotable’ or ’emblematic’ gestures; the relationship between gesture and sign; studies of gesture systems or sign languages such as those that have developed in factories, religious communities or in tribal societies; the role of gesture in ritual interactions of all kinds, such as greetings, religious, civic or legal rituals; gestures compared cross-culturally; gestures in primate social interaction; biological studies of gesture, including discussions of the place of gesture in language origins theory; gesture in multimodal human-machine interaction; historical studies of gesture; and studies in the history of gesture studies, including discussions of gesture in the theatre or as a part of rhetoric. Gesture provides a platform where contributions to this topic may be found from such disciplines as linguistics, archaeology, anthropology, biology, communication studies, neurology, ethology, theatre studies, literature and the visual arts, cognitive psychology and computer engineering. .
