With contributions from both established international scholars and younger academics, EJHET is entirely pluralist and non-partisan with regard to subjects and methodologies - it does not subscribe to any particular current of thought, nor relate to any one geographic zone. The Managing Editors and Editorial Board and Advisory Board members are drawn from throughout Europe and beyond, and are committed to encouraging scholars from around the world to contribute to international research and debate. The result is a genuinely fresh and exciting journal - a vital purchase for every scholar or library with a serious interest in the history of economic thought.Peer Review Policy:All articles published in EJHET have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial screening by the editors and refereeing by two anonymous referees.
The Journal of Clinical Investigation is a top-tier venue for critical advances in biomedical research. The JCI combines a 2009 Impact Factor of 15.387 with immediate free access to its articles to produce an ideal home for authors seeking the widest possible audience for their most important work. The journal is headed by Editor in Chief Dr. Laurence A. Turka (Harvard University, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) and an Editorial Board of peer scientists at the University of Pennsylvania whose depth and experience ensures fair and competent peer review. Dr. Ushma Neill serves as the JCI's Executive Editor. In addition to the scholarly biomedical research articles that the JCI has always published, the journal accepts submissions in 2 other categories: Brief Reports and Technical Advances (see list). Brief Reports are discrete, highly significant findings reported in a shorter format. Technical Advances report new and important research tools and techniques with broad impact. These submissions should include application of the technique to a specific question relevant to understanding or treating a disease. The JCI participates in PubMed Central and deposits research articles upon publication of each issue, which satisfies the NIH Public Access Policy and other similar funding agency requirements.
The Journal of Comparative Neurology is an interdisciplinary journal with systems neuroscience as its primary purview. Our focus is on neuronal communication within systems of neurons, and their relationship to function, development, plasticity, degeneration, and repair. The field is broadly defined and includes work that uses molecular, anatomical, physiological, pharmacological, and behavioral methods to investigate neuronal systems, but does not include papers that primarily address clinical aspects of neurology, neuropathology, psychiatry, or psychology. Work on all species from invertebrates to humans is welcome, but the emphasis should be on the way that species adaptations enlighten us about the function or organization of nervous systems, rather than on their evolution per se. The Journal of Comparative Neurology takes special care to provide the highest quality of image reproduction, and offers sufficient page space to document and describe the work completely. Only full-length investigative reports are desired; we do not accept short communications or papers that are focused on new methods.
The Journal of International Trade and Economic Development (JITED) is a peer-reviewed journal, focuses on international economics, economic development and, more importantly, the interface between trade and development. The links between trade and development economics are critical at a time when both fluctuating commodity prices and trade liberalisation and agreements can radically affect the economies of developing countries. JITED is designed to meet the needs of international and development economists, economic historians, applied economists and policy makers. The international experts who make up the journal's Editorial Board encourage contributions from economists world-wide. JITED covers: * theoretical and applied issues in international and development economics * econometric applications of trade and/or development issues based on sound theoretical economic models or testing fundamental economic hypotheses * models of structural change * trade and development issues of economies in Eastern Europe, Asia and the Pacific area * papers on specific topics * review articles on important branches of the literature Peer Review Policy: All papers in this journal have undergone editorial screening and anonymous double-blind peer review.

The Chemical Engineering Journal focuses upon three aspects of chemical engineering: chemical reaction engineering, environmental chemical engineering, and materials synthesis and processing. The Chemical Engineering Journal is an international research journal and invites contributions of original and novel fundamental research. The journal aims to provide an international forum for the presentation of original fundamental research, interpretative reviews and discussion of new developments in chemical engineering. Papers which describe novel theory and its application to practice are welcome, as are those which illustrate the transfer of techniques from other disciplines. Reports of carefully executed experimental work, which is soundly interpreted are also welcome. The overall focus is on original and rigorous research results which have generic significance.Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Environmental Chemical Engineering section presents papers dealing with topics in environmental chemical and process engineering. Treatment and environmental separation processes, pollution control and resources recovery, environmental bioprocesses, bioenergy, environmental nanotechnology, clean process technology and waste minimization include the topics which are covered. Papers in which knowledge from other disciplines is integrated with chemical engineering are especially welcome.Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Chemical Reaction Engineering section presents papers on a wide range of topics including reaction kinetics, applied catalysis, simulation and optimization of different types of reactors, unsteady-state reactors, multiphase reactors, and fundamental investigations of the processes of heat, mass and momentum transfer that take place along with chemical reaction. Research works addressing critical areas of reactor engineering (e.g. reactor materials, control strategies, reactor safety and environmental issues), and emerging reactor technologies (e.g. membrane reactors, chromatographic reactors, unconventional fluidized beds, electrochemical reactors, micro-reactors, etc.) are particularly welcome.Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Materials Synthesis and Processing section presents papers dealing with different aspects of the preparation and characterization of advanced materials. Novel physical and chemical methods of synthesis will be covered, as well as the processes used to obtain materials of different morphologies (particles, films, fibers), and to modify their surface and structural properties, always from a chemical engineering point of view. Manuscripts dealing with micro- and nano-structured materials, and those describing the preparation of composite and hybrid materials with advanced properties are especially welcome.Comments and Proposals: We are interested in receiving comments/feedback on this and our other journals and welcome publication proposals for books, electronic products, new journals and co-operation for existing journals.
The Journal of Social Work Practice publishes high quality refereed articles devoted to the exploration and analysis of practice in social welfare and allied health professions from psychodynamic and systemic perspectives. This includes counselling, social care planning, education and training, research, institutional life, management and organisation or policy-making. Articles are also welcome that critically examine the psychodynamic tradition in the light of other theoretical orientations or explanatory systems. The Journal of Social Work Practice is committed to a policy of equal opportunities and actively strives to foster all forms of intercultural dialogue and debate. The journal thus aims to:provide a unique forum for the application of current understandings of unconscious processes to social work practice with individuals, couples, families and communities;relate these ideas to institutional life and social policy formationlink the psychodynamic tradition with other theoretical orientationsfoster intercultural dialogue and debate. In future the journal will publish a broader scope of material, to include shorter commentaries, conference reports, items addressing professional debates and material which reflects on the social and political context of practice. The core of the journal will continue to be high-quality refereed articles devoted to the exploration and analysis of social work practice themes from psychodynamic and systemic perspectives. The new Editors would like to to encourage shorter items for publication as well as longer articles conforming to the existing style and would be pleased to discuss proposals or 'early ideas' with potential contributors.Group for the Advancement of Psychodynamics and Psychotherapy in Social Work (GAPS), the owner of Journal of Social Work Practice, exists to promote good practice in all social work agencies.
