Ringing & Migration is the journal of the British Trust for Ornithology Ringing Scheme. Published since 1975, the December issue incorporates the Trust's annual report on bird ringing in Britain & Ireland for the preceding year. The journal welcomes papers on all aspects of bird ringing and migration studies but gives lowest priority to papers involved with methodology alone. Members of the Editorial Board are very happy to advise first-time authors on the preparation of manuscripts. Ringing & Migration concentrates on birds that occur in the Western Palearctic but welcomes papers from any part of the world that are relevant to ringing and migration studies of Western Palearctic birds.Ringing & Migration publishes the following types of articles: Original research papers Short original research papers (around 1500 words in length) Scientific reviews Forum articles covering general ornithological issues, including non-scientific ones short feedback articles that make scientific criticisms of papers published recently in the Journal Critical book reviews.

Security Informatics is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. Intelligence and Security Informatics (ISI) is defined as the 'development of advanced information technologies, systems, algorithms, and databases for international, national and homeland security related applications, through an integrated technological, organizational, and policy-based approach' (Chen 2006). The Security Informatics journal will publish peer-reviewed articles in areas relevant to ISI research, from the perspectives of Information Technology/ Informatics and related policy considerations. Seminars in Fetal & Neonatal Medicine (formerly Seminars in Neonatology) is a bi-monthly journal which publishes topic-based issues, including current 'Hot Topics' on the latest advances in fetal and neonatal medicine. Slovo is a fully refereed, twice-yearly journal, edited and managed by postgraduates of the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. This journal aims to discuss and interpret Russian, Eurasian, Central and East European affairs, covering the fields of anthropology, economics, film, geography, history, international studies, linguistics, literature, media, politics and sociology. Slovo has presented postgraduates with what has in many cases been their first publishing opportunity. It is a refereed journal in which they have been able to present their ideas and research alongside that of members of staff. Fully managed by the postgraduate community, this has meant that students have from time to time refereed the work of their own teachers! From its humble beginnings (the first edition appeared as a slim volume in May 1988 and included contributions from staff members Julian Graffy, Geoffrey Hosking and George Schöpflin) Slovo has gone from strength to strength culminating in the presentation of a special edition following the first annual postgraduate conference, held biennially at SSEES.

Social Choice and Welfare explores all aspects, both normative and positive, of welfare economics, collective choice, and strategic interaction. Topics include but are not limited to: preference aggregation, welfare criteria, fairness, justice and equity, rights, inequality and poverty measurement, voting and elections, political games, coalition formation, public goods, mechanism design, networks, matching, optimal taxation, cost-benefit analysis, and experimental investigations related to social choice and voting. As such, the journal is inter-disciplinary and cuts across the boundaries of economics, political science, philosophy, and mathematics. Articles on choice and order theory that include results that can be applied to the above topics are also included in the journal. While it emphasizes theory, the journal also publishes empirical work in the subject area reflecting cross-fertilizing between theoretical and empirical research. The Journal of Gene Medicine publishes high quality original articles and reviews on the science of gene transfer and its applications in gene and cell therapy. Key areas of interest are the design and production of vectors, delivery and targeting, gene expression and regulation, preclinical studies including animal models, developmental aspects and clinical trials. The editors particularly welcome articles dealing with the methodological aspects of gene transfer in vivo, notably in the context of human studies.
