Edinburgh Journal of Botany is an international journal of plant systematics covering related aspects of biodiversity, conservation science and phytogeography for plants and fungi. The journal is a particularly valued forum for research on South East and South West Asian, Sino-Himalayan and Brazilian biodiversity. The journal also publishes important work on European, Central American and African biodiversity and encourages submissions from throughout the world. Commissioned book reviews are also included. All papers are peer reviewed and an international editorial board provides a body of expertise to reflect the wide range of work published and the geographical spread of the journal’s authors and readers.

The European Biophysics Journal publishes papers in the field of biophysics, defining biophysics as the study of biological phenomena using physical methods and concepts. The journal presents original papers, reviews and letters. The primary goal of this journal is to advance the understanding of biological structure and function by application of the principles of physical science, and by presenting the work in a biophysical context. Principal areas of interest include: structure and dynamics of biological macromolecules; membrane biophysics and ion channels; cell biophysics and organisation; macromolecular assemblies; biophysical methods and instrumentation; advanced microscopics; and system dynamics. The journal is published on behalf of the European Biophysical Societies Association.

Food and Ecological Systems Modelling Journal (FESMJ) is an innovative open access journal which facilitates the publication of mathematical models, datasets and software solutions in the areas of Agriculture, Food, Social-Ecological Interactions, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. The journal focuses on submissions documenting the following outcomes of the research cycle: data, models, model validation studies, software, data analytics pipelines and visualisation methods.

The Formosan Journal of Surgery (FJS) is the official international peer-reviewed publication of the Taiwan Surgical Association. The Journal began life in January 1968, when it was called the Taiwan Journal of Surgery, which dealt with all surgical subspecialties, including thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, digestive surgery, neurosurgery, endocrine surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, and orthopedic surgery.The Journal welcomes clinical as well as basic research papers on both medical and surgical aspects of various diseases (mainly surgical) from all over the world. It is published every 2 months by Elsevier, with a circulation of about 5400 copies per issue, and is indexed in the ScienceDirect, SCOPUS, Academic Citation Index (ACI) and Taiwan Academic Online (TAO).

Geosciences Journal, founded in 1997, is an international journal which publishes geoscientific research articles in English. This journal is published quarterly by the Association of Korean Geoscience Societies which is established jointly by The Geological Society of Korea, Korea Society of Economic and Environmental Geology, The Korean Earth Science Society, The Paleontological Society of Korea, The Mineralogical Society of Korea, Korean Society of Engineering Geology, The Korean Society of Petroleum Geology, Korean Society of Soil and Groundwater Environment, The Petrological Society of Korea and Korea Geophysical Society. A respected source of the most up-to-date research on library and information science, The Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science is recognized internationally for its authoritative bilingual contributions to the field of information science. Established in 1976, the journal is produced by CAIS/ACSI and is dedicated to the publication of research findings, both in full-length and in brief format; reviews of books; software and technology; and letters to the editor. The editorial policy of the journal is to continue the advancement of information and library science in both English and French Canada by serving as a forum for discussion of theory and research. The journal is concerned with research findings, understanding the issues in the field, and understanding the history, economics, technology, and human behaviour of information library systems and services.

The Journal of Sleep Research is dedicated to basic and clinical sleep research. The Journal publishes original research papers and invited reviews in all areas of sleep research (including biological rhythms). The Journal aims to promote the exchange of ideas between basic and clinical sleep researchers coming from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. The Journal will achieve this by publishing papers which use multidisciplinary and novel approaches to answer important questions about sleep, as well as its disorders and the treatment thereof.

The Journal of Surface Investigation spans the field of surface physics, from the preparation of samples, through physical and chemical properties of surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures (including organic and biological materials), to data analysis and interpretation of results. The Journal focuses closely on novel experimental approaches to characterization of surfaces, interfaces and thin films by X-ray, synchrotron and neutron techniques, which are the most suited techniques for structural studies of nanosystems. The Journal publishes original experimental and theoretical articles and reviews on the most current problems of surface phenomena, surface structure, physical and chemical properties, treatment and investigations of surfaces, as well as thin films, interfaces, and more. The Journal also presents special issues and proceedings of Russian and international conferences.

The Journal of the European Mathematical Society (JEMS) is the official journal of the EMS. The Society, founded in 1990, works at promoting joint scientific efforts between the many different structures that characterize European mathematics. JEMS will publish research articles in all active areas of pure and applied mathematics. These will be selected by a distinguished, international board of editors for their outstanding quality and interest, according to the highest international standards. Occasionally, substantial survey papers on topics of exceptional interest will also be published. Starting in 1999, the Journal has been published by Springer-Verlag until the end of 2003. Since 2004 it is published by the EMS Publishing House. The first Editor-in-Chief of the Journal was J. Jost, succeeded by H. Brezis in 2003.

The Russian Journal of Plant Physiology (Fiziologiya Rastenii) is the most popular journal in phytophysiology in the former Soviet Union. It embraces the full spectrum of plant physiology, bringing together the related aspects of biophysics, biochemistry, cytology, anatomy, genetics, etc. The journal publishes experimental and theoretical papers, reviews, short communications, and descriptions of new methods. Regular space is devoted to chronicles from Russian and international symposia, anniversary articles, and reviews of new books. Scandinavian Journal of Disability Research is an international peer-reviewed journal aiming to disseminate innovative, high quality, social research on disability, which enables critical reflection on the position of people with disabilities in different societal contexts.

The journal’s defining characteristic is a focus on the relationship between people with disabilities and their environments. It is multi-disciplinary in scope, incorporating research from a variety of perspectives - such as sociological, historical, cultural studies, health and social policy - which share a commitment to recognising that disability is not a property of the individual person, but something shaped by social relations and structures.

The journal was established by the Nordic Network on Disability Research (NNDR), an association who actively facilitate the sharing and dissemination of social research on disability in the five Nordic countries.

The American Journal of Reproductive Immunology is an international journal devoted to the presentation of current information in all areas relating to Reproductive Immunology. The journal is directed toward both the basic scientist and the clinician, covering the whole process of reproduction as affected by immunological processes. The journal Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics is an official journal of the Psychonomic Society.   It spans all areas of research in sensory processes, perception, attention, and psychophysics. Most articles published are reports of experimental work; the journal also presents theoretical, integrative, and evaluative reviews. Commentary on issues of importance to researchers appears in a special section of the journal. Founded in 1966 as Perception & Psychophysics, the journal assumed its present name in 2009.

The only two-year college journal that is international in scope and purpose, Community College Journal of Research and Practice is published twelve times per volume year. The journal is a multidisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners in higher education and the behavioral and social sciences.
