The new online only, open access, peer reviewed journal in all areas relating Social Science research to population health.

SSM - Population Healthshares the same Editors-in Chief and general approach to manuscripts as its sister journal,Social Science & Medicine. The journal takes a broad approach to the field especially welcoming interdisciplinary papers from across the Social Sciences and allied areas.

SSM - Population Health offers an alternative outlet for work which might not be considered, or is classed as 'out of scope' elsewhere, and prioritizes fast peer review and publication to the benefit of authors and readers.

The journal welcomes all types of paper from traditional primary research articles, replication studies, short communications, methodological studies, instrument validation, opinion pieces, literature reviews, etc. SSM - Population Health also offers the opportunity to publish special issues or sections to reflect current interest and research in topical or developing areas. The journal fully supports authors wanting to present their research in an innovative fashion though the use of multimedia formats.

The aim of the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education (popularly known as QSE) is to enhance the practice and theory of qualitative research in education, with 8220;education8221; defined in the broadest possible sense, including non-school settings. QSE publishes peer-reviewed empirical research employing a variety of qualitative methods and approaches, such as ethnographic observation and interviewing, grounded theory, life history, case study, curriculum criticism, policy studies, narrative, ethnomethodology, social and educational critique, phenomenology, deconstruction, genealogy, autoethnography, etc. In addition, innovative or provocative approaches to qualitative research as well as the way research is reported are encouraged. Theoretical papers are also welcome. We publish discussions of epistemology, methodology, or ethics of qualitative research from a range of perspectives, including (but not limited to) interpretivism, constructivism, critical theory, feminism, and race-based, lesbian/gay/bi/transgender (including queer theory), and poststructural ones. Furthermore, there is a strong interest in qualitative research conducted by researchers throughout the world, and the Journal publishes book reviews. Educational Technology Research and Development is the only scholarly journal in the field focusing entirely on research and development in educational technology.

The Research Section assigns highest priority in reviewing manuscripts to rigorous original quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods studies on topics relating to applications of technology or instructional design in educational settings.  Such contexts include K-12, higher education, and adult learning (e.g., in corporate training settings).  Analytical papers that evaluate important research issues related to educational technology research and reviews of the literature on similar topics are also published. This section features well documented articles on the practical aspects of research as well as applied theory in educational practice and provides a comprehensive source of current research information in instructional technology.

The Development Section publishes research on planning, implementation, evaluation and management of a variety of instructional technologies and learning environments. Empirically-based formative evaluations and theoretically-based instructional design research papers are welcome, as are papers that report outcomes of innovative approaches in applying technology to instructional development. Papers for the Development section may involve a variety of research methods and should focus on one or more aspects of the instructional development process; when relevant and possible, papers should discuss the implications of instructional design decisions and provide evidence linking outcomes to those decisions.

The Cultural and Regional Perspectives Section (formerly International Review) welcomes innovative research about how technologies are being used to enhance learning, instruction, and performance specific to a culture or region. Educational technology studies submitted to this section should be, situated in cultural contexts that critically examine issues and ideologies prevalent in the culture or region or by individuals or groups in the culture or region. Theoretical perspectives can be broadly based and inclusive of research, such as critical race theory, cultural-historical activity theory, and cultural models. Papers published in this section include quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods articles and reviews drawing on relevant theories, empirical evidence, and critical analyses of the findings, implications, and conclusions within a cultural context.

Psychological Bulletin® publishes evaluative and integrative research reviews and interpretations of issues in scientific psychology. Both qualitative (narrative) and quantitative (meta-analytic) reviews will be considered, depending on the nature of the database under consideration for review.Integrative reviews or research syntheses focus on empirical studies and seek to summarize past research by drawing overall conclusions from many separate investigations that address related or identical hypotheses. A research synthesis typically presents the authors' assessments of * the state of knowledge concerning the relations of interest; * critical assessments of the strengths and weaknesses in past research; and * important issues that research has left unresolved, thereby directing future research so it can yield a maximum amount of new information.Both cumulative and historical approaches (i.e., ones that organize a research literature by highlighting temporally unfolding developments in a field) can be used. Integrative research reviews that develop connections between areas of research are particularly valuable.Manuscripts dealing with topics at the interface of psychological sciences and society are welcome, as are evaluations of applied psychological therapies, programs, and interventions. Expository articles may be published if they are deemed accurate, broad, clear, and pertinent.Methodological articles that previously were submitted to Psychological Bulletin should now be submitted to Psychological Methods. Original theoretical articles should be submitted to Psychological Review, even when they include summaries of research. Research syntheses should be submitted to Psychological Bulletin even when they develop integrated theoretical statements.

Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Research and Animal Science is a bimonthly publication of the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia of the Universidade de São Paulo, that publishes full papers, short communications and review articles concerned with veterinary medicine, zootechny and related fields.The journal has experienced many changes since its conception in 1938 as the "Revista da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da USP". The title was adjusted in 1972 to "Revista da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da USP", before assuming its present name in 1990. The journal's periodicity has also changed over the years to accommodate an increase in the number of papers submitted. Inorganic Materials: Applied Research contains translations of research articles devoted to applied aspects of inorganic materials. The articles are selected from four leading Russian journals: Materialovedenie (Journal of Material Science), Perspektivnye Materialy (Journal of Advanced Materials), Fizika I Khimiya Obrabotki Materialov (Physics and Chemistry of Materials Processing), Voprosy Materialovedeniya (Problems of Materials Science). The Journal of Iberian and Latin American Studies is an international journal devoted to the history and cultures of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. "Its main purpose is to disseminate research of the highest standards in the areas of early modern, modern and contemporary history. This includes work in the area of cultural production that is historically grounded.

The Journal of Iberian and Latin American Studies publishes three issues per year. All articles will be published in English. In addition to research articles, the journal has a section of Reviews providing critical reviews of recent publications as well as longer Review Articles on specific topics. Accounts of Materials Research publishes concise personal reviews and perspectives describing recent research developments in all aspects of materials science and engineering.

An Account uses results previously published by the authors to teach readers new insights and thinking in an area of materials research. Each Account is directed not only to specialists in the field, but also to a broad range of scientists who wish to keep abreast of the best current research in fields other than their own.
