International Pediatric Nephrology Association

'Pediatric Nephrology' publishes original clinical research and new or important clinical observations pertaining to any aspect of the wide spectrum of acute and chronic diseases that affect renal function in children as well as on hypertension and fluid and electrolyte metabolism. Studies may involve medical, surgical, nutritional, physiologic, biochemical, pathologic or immunologic aspects of disease, imaging techniques or consequences of renal failure. Such work is published either as a full length original contribution or a brief report. The journal also reviews important new developments or controversial issues in the field through invited contributions from recognized authorities and through summaries by its contributing editors of related literature. Special features include pathologic case conferences, a section on practical pediatric nephrology, letters to the editors and a question and answer forum.

Physiology and Molecular Biology of Plants aims to publish novel research findings as well as reviews and commentaries in all areas of functional plant biology for an international readership. Political Behavior publishes original research in the general fields of political behavior, institutions, processes, and policies. The journal of ‘CardioRenal Medicine’ explores the mechanisms by which obesity and other metabolic abnormalities promote the pathogenesis and progression of heart and kidney disease (cardiorenal metabolic syndrome). It provides an interdisciplinary platform for the advancement of research and clinical practice, focussing on translational issues. Attention is paid to the fact that some metabolic abnormalities cluster with heart and chronic kidney disease, and collectively this is called the cardiorenal metabolic syndrome. Moreover, certain metabolic abnormalities of the heart promote impaired coronary artery endothelial function, diastolic dysfunction and ischemic reconditioning that parallel glomerular hyperfiltration and impairments in proximal tubule handling of sodium and albumin. Another point of focus is the role of the obesity epidemic in promoting the increasing incidence of heart and kidney disease in industrialized countries and the prevailing problems of insufficient exercise and excessive consumption of cheap, unwholesome food in promotion of the cardiorenal metabolic syndrome in both adults and children.

The journal Infection is a peer-reviewed forum for the presentation and discussion of clinically relevant information on infectious diseases for readers and contributors from all over the world. Articles deal with etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in outpatient and inpatient setting. Public health issues of local, regional and international importance related to infectious diseases are covered along with progress and problems in hospital epidemiology. The main contents include original articles describing results of research projects; brief reports on new observations that enhance the knowledge of clinicians; and state-of-the-art reviews on topics relevant to physicians diagnosing or treating infectious diseases. Case reports describing new infectious etiologies or clinical manifestations are also offered. Infection adheres to a high standard of quality of all published material.

This journal explores the cultural nature of human conduct and its evolutionary history, anthropology, ethology, communication processes between people and within -- as well as between -- societies. It integrates perspectives of the social and biological sciences through theoretical models of epigenesis. Integrative Psychological & Behavioral Science (IPBS) features articles that cover theoretical integration of ideas, epistemology of social and biological sciences, and original empirical research articles of general scientific value. IPBS covers the history of the social sciences as relevant for development of theoretical perspectives and empirical elaborations within the social and biological sciences. It integrates knowledge from many fields in a new synthesis of universal social science – overcoming the post-modernist fragmentation of ideas.

MOLECULAR AND DEVELOPMENTAL EVOLUTION (MDE) welcomes papers that contribute to a causal understanding of the evolution of development and how development influences patterns of molecular and phenotypic evolution. Papers that take diverse disciplinary approaches, including developmental, molecular, genetic, evolutionary, systematic, ecological, and paleontological, will be published. MDE seeks research articles without page restriction or charges, review articles, invited commentaries, and book reviews. The Editor-in-Chief has discretion over the use of a number of free color plates. Only color illustrations that highlight the text and convey essential scientific information will be considered for reproduction free of charge, subject to the recommendations of the reviewers and Associate Editors.

Molecular Ecology publishes papers that utilize molecular genetic techniques to address consequential questions in ecology, evolution, behaviour and conservation. Studies may employ neutral markers for inference about ecological and evolutionary processes or examine ecologically important genes and their products directly. We discourage papers that are primarily descriptive and are relevant only to the taxon being studied. Papers reporting on molecular marker development, molecular diagnostics, barcoding, or DNA taxonomy, or technical methods should be re-directed to our sister journal, Molecular Ecology Resources. Since its establishment in 1969 with the aim of developing nuclear-related academies and technology, the society has - over the past 40 years - played a significant role in Korea's emergence as the world's 6th nuclear powerhouse. Indeed, as Korea lacks natural resources, nuclear energy has made a great contribution to Korea's economic growth over the last 30 years as an economical source of energy.Compared to other energy sources, nuclear energy is more technology-intensive, so continuous technological exchange and R&D are necessary. Ever since nuclear energy was first introduced, the Korean Nuclear Society has strived to acquire new technology with a passion for academic research. Today, the society consists of 2,700 members, and the academic conferences it holds in spring and fall set the stage for active R&D and collaboration among more than 1,000 participants. Furthermore, the listing of the NET journal in SCIE has allowed the Korean Nuclear Society to step forward as an internationally-recognized organization.

Psychiatric Quarterly publishes original research, theoretical papers, and review articles on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons with psychiatric disabilities, with emphasis on care provided in public, community, and private institutional settings such as hospitals, schools, and correctional facilities.
