The journal Psychometrika is devoted to the advancement of theory and methodology for behavioral data in psychology, education and the social and behavioral sciences generally. Its coverage is offered in two sections: Theory and Methods (T& M), and Application Reviews and Case Studies (ARCS). T&M articles present original research and reviews on the development of quantitative models, statistical methods, and mathematical techniques for evaluating data from psychology, the social and behavioral sciences and related fields. Application Reviews can be integrative, drawing together disparate methodologies for applications, or comparative and evaluative, discussing advantages and disadvantages of one or more methodologies in applications. Case Studies highlight methodology that deepens understanding of substantive phenomena through more informative data analysis, or more elegant data description. Officially cited as: Psychometrika Psychometrika is published in cooperation with The Psychometric Society.

Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry is a journal whose aim is the rapid publication of original research results and ideas on all aspects of mass spectrometry. There is no formal limit on paper length, but papers should be of a length that is commensurate with the importance and complexity of the results being reported. Contributions may deal with methods, techniques and applications, or with the interpretation of results. In general, submissions that use conventional MS, GC-MS or LC-MS methods to catalogue or screen for components of extracts including Traditional Chinese Medicines are discouraged, except where the authors can clearly demonstrate that their contribution represents a significant extension of the capabilities or applications of mass spectrometry or new understanding of ion chemistry and related disciplines.

The modern theory of law is a general theory of law and society, which must be compatible with all existing legal systems in the social reality of the law. With regard to this social reality of the law, which determines all human experiencing and acting, legal theory is understood as an analytic hermeneutical and social science of action that is exclusively theory and not the philosophy of law. Above all, general legal theory in a world society that is now growing closer is concerned with encountering the equalization of national law with the law in general and avoiding the errors of a purely philosophical and moral legal concept and a strictly analytical jurisprudence, as well as overcoming the misjudgements of a purely historical and socioeconomic legal concept. In view of the constantly growing possibilities of normative communication, especially those of the law, and the multitude of state-organized legal systems, this international journal serves the jurisprudential basic research, the comparison of methods and theories, and the structure and expansion of a modern structure theory, especially the legal theory of norms and action.

This interdisciplinary journal publishes papers relating the plasticity and response of the nervous system to accidental or experimental injuries and their interventions, transplantation, neurodegenerative disorders and experimental strategies to improve regeneration or functional recovery and rehabilitation. Experimental and clinical research papers adopting fresh conceptual approaches are encouraged. The overriding criteria for publication are novelty, significant experimental or clinical relevance and interest to a multidisciplinary audience. Experiments on un-anesthetized animals should conform with the standards for the use of laboratory animals as established by the Institute of Laboratory Animal Resources, US National Academy of Sciences. Experiments in which paralytic agents are used must be justified. Patient identity should be concealed. All manuscripts are sent out for blind peer review to editorial board members or outside reviewers.

Seminars in Spine Surgery is a continuing source of current, clinical information for practicing surgeons. Under the direction of a specially selected guest editor, each issue addresses a single topic in the management and care of patients. Topics covered in each issue include basic anatomy, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, management options and follow-up of the condition under consideration. Sociocultural Pragmatics (SOPRAG) is a biannual publication that encourages the international dissemination of research results on theoretical and applied linguistics, focusing on social and cultural aspects of the Spanish language in all its forms and expressions. SOPRAG publishes high-quality papers that are useful to establish the interdependence between pragmatic, social, and cultural aspects of the Spanish language and its relations with other languages.
