Biological Rhythm Research

ISSN: 0929-1016eISSN: 1744-4179

The principal aim of Biological Rhythm Research is to unite in one scientific journal all reports in the field of biological rhythm research which in the past were scattered over many scientific journals covering a great number of different disciplines. By bringing these papers together the Editorial Board stimulates interdisciplinary rhythm research not only because of the similarity of the methods applied in different fields of research, but also because of the increasing conviction of many scientists that, apart from the direct mechanisms involved in various rhythmic phenomena, many of these may be subjected to common extraneous controlling or masking influences. The Journal publishes original scientific research papers, review papers, short notes on research in progress, book reviews, summaries of activities, symposia and congresses of national and international organizations dealing with rhythmic phenomena. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications. The aim of Natural Product Research is to publish important contributions in the field of natural product chemistry. The journal covers all aspects of research in the chemistry and biochemistry of naturally occurring compounds. The communications include coverage of work on natural substances of land and sea and of plants, microbes and animals. Discussions of structure elucidation, synthesis and experimental biosynthesis of natural products as well as developments of methods in these areas are welcomed in the journal. Finally, research papers in fields on the chemistry-biology boundary, eg. fermentation chemistry, plant tissue culture investigations etc., are accepted into the journal.Natural Product Research issues will be subtitled either "Part A - Synthesis and Structure" or "Part B - Bioactive Natural Products". for details on this , see the forthcoming articles section. All published research articles in Natural Product Research have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by expert referees.DisclaimerTaylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the "Content") contained in its publications. Worm

ISSN: 2162-4046eISSN: 2162-4054

Aims & Scope:

Worm publishes original research involving nematode model organisms, in particular C. elegans. Worm provides a forum for the research community to promote research, ideas, and technical advances of interest. Since findings in invertebrate model organisms like C. elegans often also have important implications for vertebrates, articles published in Worm are important to the wider research community including those working to understand the molecular basis of human diseases.

Worm publishes brief reports and longer research articles, technical and methodological advances, commentaries and review articles covering all areas of research from development to evolution, from genetics to systems biology, from metabolism to neurobiology and from molecular biology to genomics. Because Worm is not topic-oriented, it is well suited for multi-disciplinary studies or studies transcending traditional areas of research. Worm also encourages submission of short reports and articles whose initial audience might be primarily the worm community itself. In addition, it is possible to directly submit manuscripts rejected elsewhere with reviewer's comments included for quick assessment and potentially rapid acceptance.

Submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the editors and if found suitable for further consideration, will be subject to peer-review by independent experts.

Questions regarding the scope of the journal and informal inquiries about the suitability of manuscripts may be directed to the Editor-in-Chief at hutter@sfu.ca.

Authors may submit to the journal online at  http://worm.msubmit.net/cgi-bin/main.plex

Developmental Cell

ISSN: 1534-5807eISSN: 1878-1551

Developmental Cell is a broad-spectrum journal that covers the fields of cell biology and developmental biology. It publishes research reports describing novel results of unusual significance in all areas of these two fields, and at the interface between them. Each issue also contains review articles tailored to the journal's broad readership. With this wide coverage, Developmental Cell is a unique cross-disciplinary resource for researchers in both these fields, and for the general scientific community.Developmental Cell will consider papers in any area of cell biology and developmental biology. Examples of these include cell proliferation, intracellular targeting, cell polarity, membrane traffic, cell migration, stem cell biology, morphogenesis, developmental roles of genes or pathways and differentiation. The primary criterion for publication inDevelopmental Cell, as for all Cell Press journals, is new biological insight. We recognize that there are many ways in which such insight can be obtained, andDevelopmental Cell is interested in studies using the full range of methodologies available to the cell and developmental biology communities. We are happy to consider any study that leads to important new conclusions about biological function.Developmental Cell is a complementary partner for its companion journal Molecular Cell, and has similar standards for publication.Visit the Developmental Cell website to find out more - http://www.developmentalcell.com .

Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication

eISSN: 1083-6101
DOAJ Logo

The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication (JCMC) is a web-based, peer-reviewed scholarly journal. Its focus is social science research on computer-mediated communication via the Internet, the World Wide Web, and wireless technologies. Within that general purview, the journal is broadly interdisciplinary, publishing work by scholars in communication, business, education, political science, sociology, media studies, information science, and other disciplines. Acceptable formats for submission include original research articles, meta-analyses of prior research, synthesizing literature surveys, and proposals for special issues. JCMC is available online only. JCMC is one of the oldest web-based Internet studies journals in existence, having been published quarterly continuously since June 1995. The journal was started by Margaret McLaughlin and Sheizaf Rafaeli in response to the growth of CMC scholarship in the early- to mid-1990s. The founding editors had the vision to make JCMC an open-access, online journal. This, combined with high quality standards, proved to be a recipe for success: today JCMC is widely read and cited by CMC scholars around the world. In 2004, JCMC became an official journal of the International Communication Association. JCMC Electronic Office - click here to submit or review a paper for the journal.
