Journal Guide

The Journal of Architectural Education (JAE) has been published since 1947 for the purpose of enhancing architectural scholarship in design, history, urbanism, cultural studies, technology, theory, and practice. Published on behalf of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, JAE appears twice annually in October and March, with the October issue being the first of a new volume.

The Journal of Cardiac Surgery (JCS) is a peer-reviewed, international publication devoted to contemporary surgical treatment of cardiac disease. Renowned for its detailed 'how to' methods, JCS provides well-illustrated, concise technical articles, critical reviews and commentaries that are highly valued by dedicated readers worldwide.

Journal of Contemporary Criminal Justice (CCJ), published quarterly and guest-edited by an expert in the topic being studied, focuses on a critical issue in contemporary criminal justice in order to provide a cogent, thorough, and timely exploration of the topic. Authoritative, balanced examinations on a variety of critical issues in criminal justice today include; organized crime, community policing, gangs, white-collar crime, and excessive police force.

Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics (JCAP) covers all aspects of cosmology and particle astrophysics and encompasses theoretical, observational and experimental areas as well as computation and simulation.

Journal of Disability Policy Studies (DPS) addresses compelling variable issues in ethics, policy and law related to individuals with disabilities. Regular features include "From My Perspective," which discusses issues confronting a particular disability discipline or area, and "Point/Counterpoint" which addresses timely ethical issues affecting individuals with disabilities.

As economics becomes increasingly specialized, communication amongst economists becomes even more important. The Journal of Economic Surveys seeks to improve the communication of new ideas. It provides a means by which economists can keep abreast of recent developments beyond their immediate specialization. Areas covered include: economics, econometrics, economic history and business economics.

ournal of Iberian Geology will acknowledge for publication of original papers dealing with different aspects of Earth Sciences, mainly concerned with Geology of the Iberian Peninsula and surrounding areas. The Journal also accepts collections of selected original papers that will be published as edited monographic volumes. Journal of Interpersonal Violence (JIV), published monthly, is devoted to the study and treatment of victims and perpetrators of interpersonal violence, addressing the causes, effects, treatment, and prevention of all types of violence. Journal of Management Education (JME), peer-reviewed and published bi-monthly, is a leading voice in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in management. JME welcomes contributions from all management educators who seek to reflect on their professional practice and to engage readers in an exploration of what or how to teach in order for students to learn and practice effective management.

Journal of Planning History (JPH), peer-reviewed and published quarterly, focuses on the history of city and regional planning, with particular emphasis on the Americas. The Journal of the European Economic Association (JEEA) has a worldwide reputation for publishing articles of the highest scientific quality in theoretical and empirical economics for a global audience. It currently has an Impact Factor of 1.425 and is ranked 54 out of 247 in the ISI Economics category. Its impact factor has risen each year since it was first included in 2007.

Philosophy of history is a rapidly expanding area. There is growing interest today in: what constitutes knowledge of the past, the ontology of past events, the relationship of language to the past, and the nature of representations of the past. These interests are distinct from – although connected with – contemporary epistemology, philosophy of science, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and aesthetics. Hence we need a distinct venue in which philosophers can explore these issues. Journal of the Philosophy of History provides such a venue.

The Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology (or JVP) was founded in 1980 at the University of Oklahoma by Dr. Jiri Zidek, with financial support from the University of Oklahoma Presidential Associates Fund; it was continued in 1984 by the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. JVP is issued four times per year and publishes original contributions on all aspects of vertebrate paleontology, including vertebrate origins, evolution, functional morphology, taxonomy, biostratigraphy, paleoecology, paleobiogeography, and paleoanthropology.
