Translation means different things in different contexts. As the concept of "exercise is medicine" has grown in recent years, there is an urgent need for translational research in the field of exercise that bridges the gaps between basic scientific discoveries (e.g., detailing the physiological and molecular responses to exercise) and its application to improving human health and targeting specific disease pathophysiology. Translational research is also needed to bridge the gap between clinical trials describing the health benefits of exercise to changes in clinical practice, health promotion and exercise guidelines.
Microbiota Medicine Research seeks submissions of original research, reviews, guidelines, case reports, and perspectives that cover areas of interest relating to microbiota medicine for improving patient care, clinical practice and education.
