Journal Mission

Trust is imperative to constructive social interaction and cooperation at and across all levels. Positioned as a high-impact source journal providing novel ideas for other journals (both academic and practical), the mission of JTR is:

• to inquire into the nature, form, base and role of trust as well as the mechanism and stage of trust-building and trust repair at and across personal, group, organizational, community and national levels so as to facilitate and stimulate informed academic dialogue and debate toward an integrative body of knowledge via both relevant and rigorous theory-building and theory-testing
• to influence individuals, groups, organizations, communities and nations in the choice of practical solutions for their trust-related management by providing the most relevant and rigorous research.

Journal Philosophy

JTR is particularly interested in those studies that are inter-disciplinary, cross-cultural, cross-level, multi-method, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant in perspectives, so as to effectively investigate the holistic content and dynamic process of organizational and societal trust, without the perils of reductionist assumptions. JTR identifies the above as the emerging trends with the greatest potential to contribute to our rich and deep understanding about the complex phenomenon of trust.

Journal Scope

As an inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural journal dedicated to advancing a cross-level, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant journal, JTR provides a focal point for an open  dialogue and debate between diverse researchers, thus enhancing the understanding of trust in general and trust-related management in particular, especially in its organizational and social context in the broadest sense. Through both theoretical development and empirical investigation, JTR seeks to open the "black-box" of trust in various contexts.

JTR aims to publish relevant and rigorous research contributing to knowledge in six major domains that are interdisciplinary and cross-cultural:

• General research on trust to build an integrative framework with a common language across disciplines and across cultures (building upon but extending beyond disciplinary and cultural perspectives)
• General research on trust at and across the levels of individual, group, organization,  community, and nation
• Specific research on trust management within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on interpersonal trust within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on institutional trust within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on inter-organizational and social trust within and across nations  

Journal Readership

Contemporary Levant is an international peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary journal of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), a British Academy-sponsored institute. The journal publishes original research on contemporary politics, society and culture in the Levant region, its diasporas and neighbouring countries that have a clear relevance to it. The journal aims to foster research agendas that engage with and reflect current and emerging issues in the region. The Journal of Zhejiang University SCIENCE C – Computer & Electronics presents the latest developments and achievements in Computer Science and Electric & Electronic Engineering. The journal provides a forum for high-quality research communications, and addresses all aspects of original theoretical and experimental results and their applications in forms of Reviews, Original Research Articles and Science Letters. Journal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE C: Computer & Electronics covers research in computer science & engineering, electrics, electronics, information sciences, automation, control, communication as well as applied mathematics related to the computer area. European integration and enlargement pose fundamental challenges for policy, politics, citizenship, culture and democracy. Innovation: The European Journal of Social Science Research provides a unique forum for discussing these processes. It welcomes articles on all aspects of European developments that contribute to the improvement of social science knowledge and to the setting of a policy-focused European research agenda. Additional features of the journal include book reviews as well as a 'European Research Review' section with outlines of ongoing or recently completed research projects by groups or consortia of European researchers. Clinical Cancer Research, is a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research whose focus is to publish innovative clinical and translational cancer research studies that bridge the laboratory and the clinic. Education Research International is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of education.

Tuberculosis Research and Treatment is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies related to all aspects of tuberculosis.

The African Journal of Agricultural Research (AJAR) (ISSN 1991- 637X) is an open access journal that publishes high-quality solicited and unsolicited articles, in English, in all areas of agriculture including arid soil research and rehabilitation, agricultural genomics, stored products research, tree fruit production, pesticide science, post harvest biology and technology, seed science research, irrigation, agricultural engineering, water resources management, marine sciences, agronomy, animal science, physiology and morphology, aquaculture, crop science, dairy science, entomology, fish and fisheries, forestry, freshwater science, horticulture, poultry science, soil science, systematic biology, veterinary, virology, viticulture, weed biology, agricultural economics and agribusiness. All articles published in AJAR will be peer-reviewed.

BMC Marine Science is an open access, peer-reviewed journal publishing interdisciplinary research in all areas of marine science, advancing the understanding, conservation and also sustainable use of marine environments. The journal welcomes submissions from a diverse range of topics, including marine ecology and environmental research, sustainability and conservation, aquatic biology, marine pollution and toxicology, impact of climate change on marine ecosystems, aquatic botany and plant management, estuarine and coastal research, diseases of aquatic organisms, molluscan and shellfish research, fish biology and biofouling.

Aligned with the objectives of the United Nations sustainable Development goals, BMC Marine Science encourages submissions focused on life below water (SDG14). In particular, the journal aims to promote research into reducing marine pollution, protecting marine ecosystems and minimizing ocean acidification.

The Journal of Risk Research is an international journal that publishes peer-reviewed theoretical and empirical research articles within the risk field from the areas of social, physical and health sciences and engineering, as well as articles related to decision making, regulation and policy issues in all disciplines. Articles will be published in English. The main aims of the Journal of Risk Research are to stimulate intellectual debate, to promote better risk management practices and to contribute to the development of risk management methodologies. Communications Biology is an open access journal from Nature Research publishing high-quality research, reviews and commentary in all areas of the biological sciences. Research papers published by the journal represent significant advances bringing new biological insight to a specialized area of research.

Communications Biology complements the other Nature Research journals by providing a new open access option for biologists while applying less stringent criteria for impact and significance than the Nature-branded journals, including Nature Communications. All Nature Research journals, including Communications Biology, apply the same criteria for technical validity and adherence to ethical standards.

The INFORMS Journal on Computing (JOC) is a quarterly that publishes papers in the intersection of operations research (OR) and computer science (CS). Most papers contain original research, but we also welcome special papers in a variety of forms, including Feature Articles on timely topics, Expository Reviews making a comprehensive survey and evaluation of a subject area, and State-of-the-Art Reviews that collect and integrate recent streams of research. All papers are refereed.

Stem Cell Research & Therapy is the major forum for translational research into stem cell therapies. An international peer-reviewed journal, it publishes high quality open access research articles with a special emphasis on basic, translational and clinical research into stem cell therapeutics and regenerative therapies, including animal models and clinical trials. The journal also provides reviews, viewpoints, commentaries and reports.

The Journal of Social Studies Research (JSSR) is an internationally recognized peer-reviewed journal designed to foster the dissemination of ideas and research findings related to the social studies. JSSR is the official publication of The International Society for the Social Studies (ISSS). JSSR is published four times a year.

The Journal of Investigative Medicine is the official journal of the American Federation for Medical Research (AFMR), an international multidisciplinary association of scientists engaged in all areas of biomedical investigation: patient-oriented, translational, and basic research. Published eight issues per year, the Journal is a major platform for physician-scientists, those with a clinical/translational focus, and those with a basic science focus. The Journal of Investigative Medicine offers original, peer-reviewed investigations and articles detailing the latest developments in interdisciplinary medical research. The Journal of Jewish Education, the journal of the Network for Research in Jewish Education, is published four times per year.The journal provides a unique interdisciplinary forum for considering the diverse research and scholarly issues in Jewish education including curriculum and instruction, teacher preparation, Jewish identity development, history and philosophy of Jewish education, and the linkage between Jewish and general education. The journal's scope ranges from early childhood through adult education, in any setting in which Jewish education occurs.Contributions to the journal address issues unique to Jewish education, as well as the application of research and thought from general education.
