The Journal publishes basic research, clinical, and theoretical articles of scholarly substance on a variety of aspects of anorexia nervosa, bulimia, obesity and other atypical patterns of eating behavior and body weight regulation in clinical and normal populations. Full-length articles, reviews, brief reports, case reports, research and clinical forums addressing psychological, biological, psychodynamic, socio-cultural, epidemiological, or therapeutic correlates of these clinical phenomena are welcome. Manuscripts submitted should represent a significant addition to our knowledge, or a significant review and synthesis of existing literature.

Developmental Neurorehabilitation aims to enhance recovery and rehabilitation in children with brain injury and neurological disorders.It focuses on a truly developmental perspective: the longitudinal consequences of neurological insult during childhood and the impact of such injury in later life. It covers childhood neurological disorders and treatment, encompassing factors of lifespan, neurological recovery and intervention at experimental, clinical and theoretical levels.In order to best serve clinicians and researchers, we seek to include an equal representation of basic and clinical research on development, recovery and rehabilitation. Managing Sport and Leisure is a refereed journal that publishes high quality research articles to inform and stimulate discussions relevant to sport and leisure management globally. The journal is committed to publishing research that advances understanding of the practice of sport and leisure management in the public, voluntary and commercial sectors, internationally. It will appeal to anyone with a serious interest in contemporary sport and leisure management issues, including academics, managers, consultants, politicians and students.

One of the key objectives of the journal is to provide a high level forum for communication between academics and practitioners of sport and leisure. Therefore Managing Sport and Leisure aims to be contemporary, integrated and, most importantly, relevant to practitioner training. Peer Review Statement

Peer review is ‘double blind’ Three reviews are sought, with reviewers providing commentary / feedback to the author(s); together with information confidential to the Editor and Editorial Administrator (and where required the Associate Editor), consisting of an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the submission on 6 criteria and a recommendation in terms of the decision for publication, revision and resubmission, or rejection. The decision to publish, require amendments or reject is based on the recommendations of the reviewers with the Editor adjudicating if a consensus has not been reached.

The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is devoted to new experimental and theoretical developments in areas related to steroids. The Journal publishes a variety of contributions, including original articles, general and focused reviews, and rapid communications (brief articles of particular interest and clear novelty). Selected cutting-edge topics will be addressed in Special Issues managed by Guest Editors. Special Issues will contain both commissioned reviews and invited original research to provide comprehensive coverage of specific topics, and all articles will undergo rigorous peer-review prior to publication. The JSBMB publishes experimental work, review articles and letters (commentaries).Manuscripts relating to unsolved issues in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, steroid chemistry, cell biology, molecular medicine, and clinical medicine, are encouraged. Both basic and clinical areas of research are within the scope of the Journal, provided they address mechanisms or yield a functional explanation of processes involving steroids. A further aim of the Journal is to provide steroid-related tools, synthesis and analysis methods, and reference data.Contributions on case studies or descriptions of new compounds should provide new functional data. Otherwise they will be not considered. Reports on translational research are encouraged.The aims of the Journal cover studies on steroid signal transduction pathways, functional annotation of genes and kinetics of metabolic pathways, as well as the creation of enduring and validated resources for metabolomics and systems biology analyses. Furthermore, the Journal also publishes results on lipid research, functional association studies or 'omics' that are instrumental in our understanding of common complex human diseases like metabolic syndrome, diabetes or obesity. The most important function of a sport sociological journal like the European Journal for Sport and Society (EJSS) is to enable an international discussion about current issues and to foster collaboration between researchers from all social scientific sub-disciplines.

The EJSS is therefore a platform for multi-thematic sociological reflections on a broad variety of themes, theoretical approaches and empirical methods in sport sociological research. The EJSS is open for articles about sport, physical education, recreation, the social body and movement cultures. In addition to sociological approaches, historical, socio-psychological, political and economic perspectives are appreciated as well.

Peer Review Policy

The European Journal for Sport and Society is an international peer-reviewed journal which publishes original research contributions to social scientific knowledge from across the world. The EJSS contains various forms of contribution: articles (7,000-10,000 words), reports (2,000-3,000 words), study reports (up to 6,000 words), conference reports (up to 2,000 words) and book reviews (up to 2,000 words).
