Empirical Software Engineering provides a forum for applied software engineering research with a strong empirical component, and a venue for publishing empirical results relevant to both researchers and practitioners. Empirical studies presented here usually involve the collection and analysis of data and experience that can be used to characterize, evaluate and reveal relationships between software development deliverables, practices, and technologies. Over time, it is expected that such empirical results will form a body of knowledge leading to widely accepted and well-formed theories. The journal also offers industrial experience reports detailing the application of software technologies - processes, methods, or tools - and their effectiveness in industrial settings. Empirical Software Engineering promotes the publication of industry-relevant research, to address the significant gap between research and practice.

China Ocean Engineering integrates new research concepts, equipment, technology, materials and structures and other scientific advances within the field of estuarial, coastal, offshore, and deep water engineering with particular reference to developments. The Journal is concerned with all engineering aspects involved in the exploration and utilization of ocean resources. Topics regularly covered include research, design and construction of structures (including wharfs, dikes, breakwaters, platforms, mooring systems, etc.), instrumentation/testing (physical model and numerical model), wave dynamics, sedimentation, structural/stress analysis, soil mechanics, and material research. China Ocean Engineering is a publication of Chinese Ocean Engineering Society.

Nanomaterials (ISSN 2076-4991) is an international and interdisciplinary scholarly open access journal. It publishes reviews, regular research papers, communications, and short notes that are relevant to any field of study that involves nanomaterials, with respect to their science and application. Thus, theoretical and experimental articles will be accepted, along with articles that deal with the synthesis and use of nanomaterials. Articles that synthesize information from multiple fields, and which place discoveries within a broader context, will be preferred. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research in as much detail as possible. Full experimental or methodical details, or both, must be provided for research articles. Computed data or files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material. Nanomaterials is dedicated to a high scientific standard. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous reviewing process and decisions are based on the recommendations of independent reviewers.

NeuroMolecular Medicine presents cutting-edge research articles and critical reviews on the molecular and biochemical basis of neurological disorders. Coverage ranges from genetic analyses of human populations to animal and cell culture models of neurological disorders, and includes findings concerning the identification of genetic aberrancies and their pathogenic mechanisms at the molecular and cellular levels. Coverage includes experimental analyses of molecular cascades involved in the development and adult plasticity of the nervous system, in neurological dysfunction, and in neuronal degeneration and repair. NeuroMolecular Medicine encompasses basic research in molecular genetics, signal transduction, plasticity, and cell death. The journal gives special attention to synthetic research and reviews that aim to bridge genetic aberrancies with cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurological pathogenesis.

The purpose of Exceptionality is to provide a forum for presentation of current research and professional scholarship in special education. Gifted and Talented International (GTI) is an international, refereed journal publishing articles that significantly contribute to our understanding and promotion of giftedness, talent, and creativity in children, adolescents, and adults. Its purpose is to share current theory, research, and practice in gifted education with its audience of international educators, scholars, researchers, and parents.

GTI publishes original research, theoretical studies, systematic literature review papers or accounts of practice. Integrative literature reviews and theoretical pieces that appreciate empirical work are welcome. Topics include: development, personality and individual differences, affect and motivation, social behavior and cross-cultural issues in relation to giftedness, talent, and creativity; teacher education and professional development; curriculum development and implementation, research on instructional strategies, and school interventions, and evaluations of programs and services; twice-exceptioanlity; and counseling issues.
