The Scottish Journal of Political Economy is a generalist journal with an explicitly international reach in both readership and authorship. It is dedicated to publishing the highest quality research in any field of economics, without prejudice to the methodology or to the analytical techniques used. The editors encourage submissions in all fields of economics in order to provide practical contributions to the literature, and to further the influence of economics in the world of practical affairs.

The Journal of Biochemistry founded in 1922 publishes the results of original research in the fields of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell, and Biotechnology written in English in the form of Regular Papers or Rapid Communications. A Rapid Communication is not a preliminary note, but it is, though brief, a complete and final publication. The materials described in Rapid Communications should not be included in a later paper. The Journal also publishes short reviews (JB Review) and papers solicited by the Editorial Board.

Established in 1958, The Journal of Law and Economics publishes research on a broad range of topics including the economic analysis of regulation and the behavior of regulated firms, the political economy of legislation and legislative processes, law and finance, corporate finance and governance, and industrial organization. The journal has published some of the most influential and widely cited articles in these areas. It is an invaluable resource for academics as well as those interested in cutting-edge analysis of current public policy issues.

The purpose of The RAND Journal of Economics, formerly The Bell Journal of Economics, is to support and encourage research in the behavior of regulated industries, the economic analysis of organizations, and more generally, applied microeconomics. The Sport Psychologist (TSP) is a scholarly refereed journal designed as a forum to stimulate thought and disseminate knowledge that focuses on the application and practice of sport psychology. A special emphasis of the journal is on the delivery of psychological services to practitioners such as athletes and coaches. TSP is international in scope and is receptive to diverse methodologies. TSP is published for sport psychology specialists who engage in research, teaching, and/or intervention in a variety of contexts including academic, public, and private settings. The journal is also intended for practitioners such as coaches who have training and interest in sport psychology.

Communication Research Reports publishes brief empirical articles (10 pages or less, excluding tables and references) on a variety of topics pertaining to human communication. Studies in the general areas of interpersonal, intercultural, life-span, nonverbal, small group, organizational, instructional, health, persuasive, mass, political, and computer-mediated communication are appropriate. Although the main portion of the paper should be devoted to a thorough reporting and interpretation of results, a concise but cogent theoretical rationale and literature review must also be included. At the Editor's discretion, some manuscripts may be designated as Brief Reports once they have undergone the initial review process. Brief Reports should be no longer than three pages (excluding tables and references). Their purpose is to highlight a specific finding and its relevance to the literature. All sections traditionally included in a paper should be present, but they must be very brief and to the point. Any extraneous information must be eliminated. Brief Reports SHOULD NOT BE SUBMITTED to CRR; rather, they will be employed at the Editor's discretion. Also at the discretion of the Editor will be one manuscript per issue designated as a Spotlight on Method/Analysis piece. These articles will be solicited by the Editor and will be 5-8 pages in length (excluding tables and references) highlighting topics that will range from novel methodological approaches and/or statistical techniques to common misconceptions/issues of contemporary controversy related to method/analysis. Each issue of CRR will contain one such manuscript that will be solicited and/or determined by the Editor.Communication Research Reports is philosophically committed to publishing the highest quality brief empirical articles derived from a variety of research areas within the discipline. Concentrating on molecular biomarkers in cancer research, Cancer Biomarkers publishes original research findings (and reviews solicited by the editor) on the subject of the identification of markers associated with the disease processes whether or not they are an integral part of the pathological lesion. The disease markers may include, but are not limited to, genomic, epigenomic, proteomics, cellular and morphologic, and genetic factors predisposing to the disease or indicating the occurrence of the disease. Manuscripts on these factors or biomarkers, either in altered forms, abnormal concentrations or with abnormal tissue distribution leading to disease causation will be accepted.

Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP) publishes bi-monthly/six times per year, featuring original scientific reports and comprehensive review articles in the social and administrative pharmaceutical sciences. Topics of interest include outcomes evaluation of products, programs, or services; pharmacoepidemiology; medication adherence; direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription medications; disease state management; health systems reform; drug marketing; medication distribution systems such as e-prescribing; web-based pharmaceutical/medical services; drug commerce and re-importation; and health professions workforce issues.RSAP strives to become a widely recognized venue for publishing articles that proffer new models to guide existing research, make methodological arguments, or otherwise describe the results of rigorous theory-building research. Taxonomically, aquatic insects are a heterogeneous assemblage, comprising several orders which have evolved in aquatic habitats. Further, the bugs, beetles and flies each include many large families present only in aquatic habitats. In fact, almost every insect order has at least a few aquatic representatives. The shared habitat unifying the different groups of aquatic insects brings the journal into close contact with the field of limnology. In all kinds of freshwater environments, aquatic insects are usually the largest single group of organisms, by species as well as specimen numbers, and are of paramount importance to the community structure and function. The region of the Balkans and the Near East has assumed an important geo-political and global economic significance since the end of the Cold War. This territory, which includes old and new nation-states of the former Ottoman Empire and Soviet Union, stands at the crossroads of an expanding West (NATO, the EU) and a re-emerging East (Russia, China, India). A focus on the Balkans and the Near East in a more globalized world must involve the re-examination of widely held assumptions, modern historical claims, and political, economic and security assertions concerning the nation-states of Southeastern Europe and the Near East. In this context, the Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies seeks to address, in an historical and theoretically-informed manner, the complex historical, economic, political, diplomatic, cultural and security issues that confront the region, in the light of such important developments as the process of European integration, the evolution of NATO, and the more general changes in the international governance system after the end of the Cold War in Eurasia and the terrorist attacks on the United States on 11 September 2001. The journal encourages modern historical research, comparative approaches, critical scholarship and a diversity of international relations and geo-political views on the region, as it seeks to construct an academic forum to bring together disparate scholarly perspectives. The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for the publication of high quality research and tutorial papers in computational mathematics. In addition to the traditional issues and problems in numerical analysis, the journal also publishes papers describing relevant applications in such fields as physics, fluid dynamics, engineering and other branches of applied science with a computational mathematics component. The journal strives to be flexible in the type of papers it publishes and their format. Equally desirable are:(i) Full papers, which should be complete and relatively self-contained original contributions with an introduction that can be understood by the broad computational mathematics community. Both rigorous and heuristic styles are acceptable. Of particular interest are papers about new areas of research, in which other than strictly mathematical arguments may be important in establishing a basis for further developments.(ii) Tutorial review papers, covering some of the important issues in Numerical Mathematics, Scientific Computing and their Applications. The journal will occasionally publish contributions which are larger than the usual format for regular papers.(iii) Short notes, which present specific new results and techniques in a brief communication.The journal strives to provide authors with a refereed outlet for their work which is subject to the least possible publication delay.

The European Journal of Higher Education (EJHE) aims to offer comprehensive coverage of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of higher education, analyses of European and national higher education reforms and processes, and comparative studies of higher education within Europe (i.e. the European Higher Education Area) or elsewhere compared to Europe. Building on the successful legacy of its predecessor, Higher Education in Europe, EJHE is establishing itself as one of the flagship journals in the study of higher education and specifically in study of European higher education.
In addition to original articles, EJHE publishes a Debate Section and a Book Reviews Section. The Journal invites proposals for the Debate Section, which comprises two or three brief articles taking contrary or complementary standpoints on a common - topical or controversial - issue. The contributions are expected to be based on rigorous social science research, thus applying theoretical knowledge to a recent phenomenon and or providing fresh empirical support for their claims. The Journal also invites contributions to the Book Review Section, which is featured in each volume and welcomes suggestions for recently published books to be considered for review in EJHE. Proposals are invited also for special issues, which are featured in two special issue volumes every year.

IIE Transactions on Healthcare Systems Engineering encourages research motivated by the challenging problems related to healthcare systems. The integration of these tools and techniques with those from other engineering and medical disciplines are also featured.
