The journal of the Museum of Mineralogy and Geology was founded in 1876 by Hanns Bruno Geinitz as „Mitteilungen aus dem Königlichen Mineralogisch-Geologischen und Prähistorischen Museum“. It was refounded in 1955 by Hans Prescher as „Jahrbuch des Staatlichen Museums für Mineralogie und Geologie zu Dresden“ and continued from 1966 as „Abhandlungen des Staatlichen Museums für Mineralogie und Geologie zu Dresden“. Since 2001 the periodical is entitled „Geologica Saxonica – Journal of Central European Geology“.

Thematic scopeThe journal publishes results of basic and applied research from all areas of horticulture, fruit growing, vegetable growing, floriculture, ornamental gardening, garden and landscape architecture. The main concern is on plants growing under the conditions of the European temperate zone and countries with a similar climate, and on other plant species that are classified as horticultural ones. IEEE Journal of Indoor and Seamless Positioning and Navigation (J-ISPIN) publishes original research in the fields of localization and tracking of people, robots and objects.
