Language & Intercultural Communication promotes an interdisciplinary understanding of the interplay between language and intercultural communication. It therefore welcomes research into intercultural communication, particularly where it explores the importance of linguistic aspects; and research into language, especially the learning of foreign languages, where it explores the importance of intercultural perspectives. The journal is alert to the implications for education, especially higher education, and for language learning and teaching. Computers, Environment and Urban Systems is an interdisciplinary journal publishing cutting-edge and innovative computer-based research on urban systems and built and natural environments, that privileges the geospatial perspective. The mission of Corporate Governance: An International Review is to publish cutting-edge international business research on the phenomena of comparative corporate governance throughout the global economy. We define corporate governance broadly as the exercise of power over corporate entities so as to increase the value provided to the organization's various stakeholders, as well as making those stakeholders accountable for acting responsibly with regard to the protection, generation, and distribution of wealth invested in the firm. Because of this broad conceptualization, a wide variety of academic disciplines can contribute to our understanding, and we do not limit our perspective to any one theory or methodological paradigm. Previous theory and research has been published by scholars operating from such base disciplines as accounting, economics, finance, law, management, sociology, and political science. In other words, we seek to learn about both the antecedents and effects of corporate governance practices, policies, and principles throughout the world from an interdisciplinary 'conversation'. As the average human life expectancy has increased, so too has the impact of ageing and age-related disease on our society. Ageing research is now the focus of thousands of laboratories that include leaders in the areas of genetics, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and behaviour. The Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics is an international journal concerned with the inter-disciplinary science of the Sun-Earth connection, defined very broadly. The journal referees and publishes original research papers, using rigorous standards of review, and focusing on the following:

• Papers dealing with remote sensing carried out from the ground or space and with in situ studies made from rockets or from satellites orbiting the Earth;

Solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and other energetic events on the Sun create interesting and important perturbations in the near-Earth space environment. The physics of this subject, now termed "space weather", is central to the Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics and the journal welcomes papers that lead in the direction of a predictive understanding of the coupled system. Regarding the upper atmosphere, the subjects of aeronomy, geomagnetism and geoelectricity, auroral phenomena, radio wave propagation, and plasma instabilities, are examples within the broad field of solar-terrestrial physics which emphasise the energy exchange between the solar wind, the magnetospheric and ionospheric plasmas, and the neutral gas. The Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics is a peer reviewed journal covering all aspects of the graphic novel, comic strip and comic book, with the emphasis on comics in their cultural, institutional and creative contexts. Its scope is international, covering not only English language comics but also worldwide comic culture. The journal reflects interdisciplinary research in comics and aims to establish a dialogue between academics, historians, theoreticians and practitioners of comics. The scope of the Chinese Journal of Catalysis includes:

• New trends in heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis in relation to energy, environment, petroleum chemicals and fine chemicals;
• Scientific bases for the preparation and activation of catalysts of commercial interest or that are representative models;
• Scientific methods for the characterization of heterogeneous catalysts, especially methods for in situ characterization;
• New heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic reactions of potential practical interest in environment, energy, and fine chemicals applications;
• Relationship between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis;
• Theoretical studies on the structure and reactivity of catalysts.

The journal also accepts contributions dealing with other issues related to catalysis, such as photo-catalysis, bio-catalysis, surface science and chemical kinetics.

Awarded and highly cited
The journal was awarded the First Class Prize for Excellent Periodicals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001 and the Second Class Prize in the National Journal Awards in 2005. In recent years, the journal has consistently been ranked in the top ten Chinese chemical journals as measured by the impact factor and total citations.

The GAMO is a high-quality scientific journal (published both in print and freely available online format) that informs healthcare professionals on the most relevant and updated advances on research and education, in order to offer cancer patients multidisciplinary, state of the art care.

It is the official scientific and academic diffusion publication of the Mexican Society of Oncology (SMeO). Regular numbers are published every two months, in addition to several supplements throughout the year.

Its spaces are open to the SMeO members, as well as to any member of the medical community (both national and international) interested in using this publication to communicate his/her works under the standards of universal editorial policies.

It is the jornal of choice for oncologists in matters of research and education on surgical, medical, pediatric, gynecologic, hematologic and radiation oncology, as well as on detection, diagnosis, follow-up and rehabilitation supportive disciplines, fields where different specialties involved in the management of the cancer patient do participate.
About the journal

The mission of the GAMO consists in serving its readers in:

1. representation and promotion of the oncolgy profession throughout the country and the world
2. promotion of standards of the highest quality in the practice of multidisciplinary care for the cancer patient
3. providing educational materials on cancer and support the training of investigators, using printed and electronic media
4. promotion of both clinical and translational cancer research, with special emphasis on clinical trials
5. facilitate the professional development of trainee oncologists and their transition to academical practice, fostering the interest on care for the community
6. promotion of public policies and support and guidance instruments for the cancer patient.

The Editorial Board and Committee are comprised of different experts in the field of oncology from multiple institutions, both national and international. The Editorial Board is structured based on the editorial sections that reflect the contents of the journal. Each section is directed by a section editor who supervises peer reviewing of the works by experts on the relevant area or subject. The Editorial Board Members are regular collaborators of the journal and are appointed to a 2-year period. The Editor in Chief has a 4-year period with option to a second period for the same time.
Publication guidelines

The journal is subject to international publication guidelines that indicate how a manuscript must be prepared to be able to be published, aspects on edition and publication of articles and ethical considerations that have to be followed in the communication of results.

The journal includes several types of articles. According to the structure, focus, contents, scope and purposes of the document, they can be classified as:

The articles are subject to peer review as a control method with regard to quality and veracity of the contents.
