The journal Stress aims to provide scientists involved in basic stress research with the possibility of reading a more integrated view of the field. Peer reviewed papers, invited reviews and short communications will deal with interdisciplinary aspects of stress in terms of: the mechanisms of stressful stimulation, including within and between individuals; the physiological and behavioural responses to stress, and their regulation, in both the short and long term; adaptive mechanisms, coping strategies and the pathological consequences of stress.Stress will publish the latest developments in physiology, neurobiology, molecular biology, genetics research, immunology, and behavioural studies as they impact on the understanding of stress and its adverse consequences and their amelioration.Specific approaches may include transgenic animals, developmental/programming studies, electrophysiology, histochemistry, neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, neuroanatomy, endocrinology, autonomic physiology, immunology, chronic pain, ethological and other behavioural studies and clinical measures.

Studies in Art Education is a quarterly journal that reports quantitative, qualitative, historical, and philosophical research in art education, including explorations of theory and practice in the areas of art production, art criticism, aesthetics, art history, human development, curriculum and instruction, and assessment. Studies also publishes reports of applicable research in related fields such as anthropology, education, psychology, philosophy, and sociology.

Manuscripts must be typed, double-spaced, have appropriate margins, consist of approximately 5,000 words, and include an abstract of 75-150 words. Journal of Children and Media is an interdisciplinary and multi-method peer-reviewed publication that provides a space for discussion by scholars and professionals from around the world and across theoretical and empirical traditions who are engaged in the study of media in the lives of children and adolescents. An international journal, the Journal of Symbolic Computation, founded by Bruno Buchberger in 1985, is directed to mathematicians and computer scientists who have a particular interest in symbolic computation. The Journal of Mathematical Sociology is published in association with the International Network for Social Network Analysis, the Japanese Association for Mathematical Sociology, the Mathematical Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association, the Methodology Section of the American Sociological Association, and with the generous support of the UCLA Division of Social Sciences . The Journal of Mathematical Sociology publishes articles in all areas of mathematical sociology. The ultimate aim of cancer research is to eliminate this common and devastating disease from the human population. To develop more effective prevention methods we need to understand what triggers carcinogenesis. To diagnose precancerous lesions and early-stage cancers quickly and accurately we need to detect the earliest molecular changes leading to each type of cancer. To determine a patient's prognosis we need to appreciate which molecular changes affect tumour growth rate and invasiveness. And to tailor therapies to individual tumours we need to understand the fundamental differences, not only between a cancer cell and a 'normal' cell, but also between one cancer cell and another. All of these goals depend on a combination of basic and applied research.
