Journal of Clinical Lipidology

ISSN: 1933-2874eISSN: 1876-4789
The Journal of Clinical Lipidology is published to support the diverse array of medical professionals who work to reduce the incidence of morbidity and mortality from dyslipidemia and associated disorders of lipid metabolism. The Journal's readership encompasses a broad cross-section of the medical community, including cardiologists, endocrinologists, and primary care physicians, as well as those involved in the treatment of such disorders as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. The Journal also addresses allied health professionals who treat the patient base described above, such as pharmacists, nurse practitioners and dietitians.

Because the scope of clinical lipidology is broad, the topics addressed by the Journal are equally diverse. Typical articles explore lipidology as it is practiced in the treatment setting, recent developments in pharmacological research, reports of treatment and trials, case studies, the impact of lifestyle modification, and similar academic material of interest to the practitioner. While preference is given to material of immediate practical concern, the science that underpins lipidology is forwarded by expert contributors so that evidence-based approaches to reducing cardiovascular and coronary heart disease can be made immediately available to our readers. Sections of the Journal will address pioneering studies and the clinicians who conduct them, case studies, ethical standards and conduct, professional guidance such as ATP and NCEP, editorial commentary, letters from readers, http://www.lipid.org/National Lipid Association (NLA) news and upcoming event information, as well as abstracts from the NLA annual scientific sessions and the scientific forums held by its chapters, when appropriate.

The Journal of Clinical Lipidology is NOW INCLUDED IN MEDLINE/PUBMED!

Angelaki

ISSN: 0969-725XeISSN: 1469-2899

Angelaki: journal of the theoretical humanities was established in September 1993 to provide an international forum for vanguard work in the theoretical humanities. In itself a contentious category, 'theoretical humanities' represents the productive nexus of work in the disciplinary fields of literary criticism and theory, philosophy, and cultural studies. The journal is dedicated to the refreshing of intellectual coordinates, and to the challenging and vivifying process of re-thinking.Angelaki: journal of the theoretical humanities encourages a critical engagement with theory in terms of disciplinary development and intellectual and political usefulness, the inquiry into and articulation of culture, and the complex determination of change and its relation to history. The journal is committed to fostering the theory of minor movements, recognising their significant impact on and dynamic relation to the development of cultures, political spaces and academic disciplines, and emphasising their formative power rather than their oppositional entrenchment. The journal promotes inquiry into questions of existential and political definition and agency, on the personal, collective and institutional levels, and encourages the work of spirited and experimental theoretical writing in all areas of value production.Angelaki: journal of the theoretical humanities publishes four issues per volume/year: two/three themed (Special) issues and one/two non-themed (General) issues. Articles for consideration for General issues are accepted throughout the year.Peer Review Policy:All research articles published in General Issues of the journal have undergone peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees. Articles published in Special Issues of the journal are normally on invitation. Where a call for papers is issued for Special Issues, submissions passed for review by the Issue Editor are subject to the same review process as submissions to General Issues.Disclaimer for scientific, technical and social science publications:Taylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 8220;Content8221;) contained in its publications. Chemosensors (ISSN 2227-9040) provides an advanced forum for the science and technology of chemical sensors. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. All aspects of chemosensing are welcomed from theoretical concepts to education and training. We also welcome manuscripts on classic chemical sensing – be it wet chemistry or biological sensing using enzymes or cells and other model organisms. Drug testing and medical/diagnostic testing are also included under this umbrella. We welcome results of field testing or assay validation as well, whether it be at the research level or from commercial pretesting. We also ask for perspectives from people working in the field or editorials that concern prominent issues related to chemosensing. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, several unique features of this journal: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material. Journal of Ecohydraulics

ISSN: 2470-5357eISSN: 2470-5365

The Journal of Ecohydraulics (TJoE) embodies the varied research undertaken in ecohydraulics covering water resources and aquatic life, ecology, biology, hydraulics, engineering, geoscience, environmental science, climate change and other related fields, with an emphasis on the integration of these disciplines.

The Journal is of interest to academics involved in fundamental or applied sciences, as well as practitioners and policy makers working at the applied environmental management end of the spectrum, including those who seek innovative solutions to environmental assessment, impacts of and mitigation for existing or new projects.

A range of approaches are invited – from physical and numerical modelling to empirical laboratory experimentation and field studies – aimed to answer fundamental questions and solve challenges of value to real world applications. Articles that demonstrate novel investigations and research interactions, bridging disciplinary divides, as well as integrate physical and ecological processes are particularly welcomed.

Key contributors comprise of aquatic biologists and ecologists, environmental and climate change scientists, civil, mechanical, and environmental engineers, regulators and policy makers, natural resource managers, and conservationists.

TJoE Topics

  • Ecohydraulic topics are broadly based on the trilogy of a) aquatic biota movements, b) e-flows, i.e. environmental, instream or ecological flow regimes, and c) habitat or ecological restoration.
  • Ecohydraulics deals with aquatic life in freshwater, lentic and marine ecosystems, native as well as introduced or invasive species, climate change effects, environmental impacts and mitigation measures; incorporates species-habitat relationships, the need and ways to ensure biota can overcome any artificial physical or behavioural barriers to their movements; interactions of ecological and biological aspects with groundwater, ice and thermal regimes, water quality, ocean habitats, wetlands, deltas, floodplains or channels.
  • Ecohydraulic science pertinent to aquatic life, including fluid mechanics, morphodynamics, fluvial geomorphology, hydrology and ice processes.
  • Aquatic fauna ecology and biology relevant to ecohydraulic science, including exotic species, artificial habitats, habitat preferences, movements, behaviour, biomechanics, bioenergetics, and population dynamics.
  • Aquatic ecology and biology from individual to population level, over a range of spatial (habitat patch to river basin) and temporal scales.
  • Mitigation measures, including biota passageways, fishways, fish screens, improvement, rehabilitation or replacement of habitats, wetlands, deltas or broader ecosystems.
  • River basin, ecosystem, estuarine, delta, and wetland restoration, including removal of dams and other water infrastructure, environmental impact assessment and aquatic ecosystems assessment.

The list above should be treated as indicative rather than fully exhaustive. Topics not mentioned above but still related to hydro-environment research may also be considered.

Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to single blind peer review by at least two independent, anonymous expert referees.

An electronic submission site will be available in due course, please direct any questions about submitting to the Journal to the Editors-in-Chief, Christos Katopodis ( XKatopodis@outlook.com) and Paul Kemp ( p.kemp@soton.ac.uk), who will be able to assist you.

Manuscript Types Considered
