Geophysical Journal International is one of the world's leading primary research journals in geophysics. The Board of Editors is international in representation. Geophysical Journal International publishes top quality research papers, express letters, invited review papers and book reviews on all aspects of theoretical, computational, applied and observational geophysics. It welcomes submissions at any time from scientists world-wide via http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/gji/. A guide to using the system is available as a PDF file. GJI aims to publish all papers in a timely fashion. Authors who submit a paper are expected to be able to certify that the paper is original work, has not been published before and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. The Journal aims to promote the understanding of the Earth's internal structure, physical properties, processes and evolution. Contributions presenting new data, methods and interpretations, of interest to a broad readership, are welcome in the following subjects:

Geophysical Prospecting publishes the best in primary research on the science of geophysics as it applies to the exploration, evaluation and extraction of earth resources. Drawing heavily on contributions from researchers in the oil and mineral exploration industries, the journal has a very practical slant. Although the journal provides a valuable forum for communication among workers in these fields, it is also ideally suited to researchers in academic geophysics.

About Geophysical Research Letters (GRL)GRL is a Letters journal; limiting manuscript size expedites the review and publication process. GRL also publishes a limited number of frontier articles, by invitation from Editors. GRL's mission is to disseminate concisely-written, high-impact research reports on major scientific advances in AGU disciplines [PDF]. With this goal, the Editorial Board evaluates manuscripts submitted to GRL according to the following criteria: High impact innovative results with broad geophysical implications at the forefront of one or several AGU disciplines. Results with immediate impact on the research of others and requiring rapid publication. Instrument or methods manuscript introducing an innovative technique that makes new science advance possible, with immediate applications to AGU disciplines.GRL has been in publication since 1974. The Editors are adapting GRL to the evolving needs of the Earth science community. GRL Editors are topical: the subject of the paper determines which Editor handles the review and decision process. Experimental, theoretical and numerical studies of rotating, stratified and convecting fluids of general interest to geophysicists and astrophysicists appear. The study of geopolitics has undergone a major renaissance during the past decade. Addressing a gap in the published periodical literature, this journal seeks to explore the theoretical implications of contemporary geopolitics and geopolitical change with particular reference to territorial problems and issues of state sovereignty . Multidisciplinary in its scope, Geopolitics includes all aspects of the social sciences with particular emphasis on political geography, international relations, the territorial aspects of political science and international law. The journal seeks to maintain a healthy balance between systemic and regional analysis.Geopolitics publishes quarterly and includes one theme issue per year.
