The AMS has published peer-reviewed journals of the highest quality in mathematical research for over 100 years. Each journal is unique in its offering of articles, book reviews, and reports. And each is managed by editors who are prominent in their fields. In addition to publishing and distributing printed journals, the AMS offers searchable electronic versions. Articles are posted before they are included in an issue, so the electronic versions are available prior to the print versions.

JAMA is the most widely circulated medical journal in the world, with more than 320,000 recipients of the print journal, 1.2 million recipients of electronic tables of contents and alerts, and over 16 million annual visits to the journal’s website. JAMA’s reach includes a growing social media presence (147,000 Twitter and 240,000 Facebook followers) and vast international news media exposure, including more than 20 million viewers of the JAMA video news report each week.

JAMA is published 48 times per year in print/online issues, and new articles are published several times a week online. Without any author fees, all research articles are made free access online 6 months after publication on the JAMA website. All articles are made free access on an html app called The JAMA Network Reader on the day of publication. In addition, the online version is freely available or nearly so to institutions in developing countries through the World Health Organization's HINARI program.

JAMDA is the official journal of AMDA: Dedicated to Long Term Care Medicine. JAMDA provides monthly coverage of the issues most important to healthcare professionals providing long term care. JASC is the official journal of the American Society of Cytopathology, and will reflect the values and priorities of the society. In 2012 and 2013, JASC will consist of special supplemental issues with the annual scientific meeting abstracts of the American Society of Cytopathology. Beginning in 2014, JASC will publish its regular bimonthly issues with cutting-edge original research of the highest standard. The Journal will seek to provide an exceptional forum for interaction and dissemination of original research and educational information in the field of cytopathology and other allied disciplines in medicine. The cross-disciplinary focus of the journal will ensure sharing of information with all readers involved in the practice of cytopathology and its related basic sciences, epidemiology and clinical oncologic disciplines.JASC will endeavor to have a positive impact not only on all aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment, but also on other human disease. The Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) is the leading kidney journal in the world. JASN represents an outstanding synthesis of cutting-edge basic research, clinical epidemiology, clinical research, meta-analysis, relevant editorials, perspectives, and timely and important reviews. Editorials are written to distill and elucidate the key findings of the parent article. JASN also encourages submission of Letters to the Editor about recently published articles. Similarly, the reviews are invariably erudite and comprehensive in their coverage of a given field.  JASN has been published monthly since July 1990.

The Journal of the American Statistical Association, published quarterly, has long been considered the premier journal of statistical science. Established in 1888, JASA focuses on statistical applications, theory, and methods in economic, social, physical, engineering, and health sciences.
