The Journal covers the entire field of infrared physics and technology: theory, experiment, devices and instrumentation.Its core topics can be summarized as the generation, propagation and detection, of infrared radiation; the associated optics, materials and devices; and its use in all fields of science, industry and medicine.Infrared techniques occur in many different fields, notably spectroscopy and interferometry; material characterization and processing; atmospheric physics, astronomy and space research. Scientific aspects include lasers, quantum optics, quantum electronics and semiconductor physics. Some important applications are medical diagnostics and treatment, industrial inspection and environmental monitoring.A fuller though not exhaustive list of topics would include:• Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Research• Atmospheric transmission, turbulence and scattering.• Environmental applications: pollution and monitoring.• Detectors: quantum and thermal• Industrial applications• Infrared lasers including free electron lasers• Material properties, processing and characterization.• Medical applications• Nondestructive testing, active and passive.• Optical elements: lenses, polarizers, filters, mirrors, fibres, etc.• Radiometry: techniques, calibration, standards and instrumentation.• Remote sensing and range-finding• Solid-state physics• Thermal imaging: device design, testing and applications• Synchroton radiation in the infraredNote: When formatting references for your paper, this journal requires that the titles are included. Please also submit the names, addresses, and e-mail addresses of at least 3 potential referees. Note that the editor retains the sole right to decide whether or not the suggested reviewers are used. You are strongly encouraged to submit recommendations for appropriately senior and knowledgeable referees having no connection to your work and not located at your institution, as this may speed up the processing of your manuscript. Where the author works in a country with a small community of research workers in his or her field, it is highly desirable that at least two of the suggested referees are from another country.

Injury was founded in 1969 and is an international journal dealing with all aspects of trauma care and accident surgery. Our primary aim is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, techniques and information among all members of the trauma team.Topics covered include: trauma systems and management; surgical procedures; epidemiological studies; surgery (of all tissues); resuscitation; biomechanics; rehabilitation; anaesthesia; radiology; basic science of local and systemic response to trauma and tissue healing.Regular features include: original research papers; review articles; case reports; ideas and innovations detailing novel and effective solutions to surgical problems; book reviews; calendar of world-wide meetings.Letters that comment on an article previously published in Injury are particularly encouraged, and the authors will be given the opportunity to respond. IRBM is the journal of the AGBM (Alliance for engineering in Biology an Medicine / Alliance pour le génie biologique et médical) and the SFGBM (BioMedical Engineering French Society / Société française de génie biologique médical) and the AFIB (French Association of Biomedical Engineers / Association française des ingénieurs biomédicaux). As a vehicle of information and knowledge in the field of biomedical technologies, IRBM is devoted to fundamental as well as clinical research. Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET) aims to provide the highest quality original contributions on new developments in food science and emerging technologies. The work described should be innovative either in the approach or in the methods used. The significance of the results either for the science community or for the food industry must also be specified. Papers submitted for publication must be novel and of high scientific quality and impact. Only papers which advance current scientific knowledge, with industrial relevance, which advance current understanding will be considered for review and publication. IFSET does not publish preliminary or confirmatory results. The journal publishes selected research and review articles dealing with engineering, scale-up, safety, sustainability, kinetics and mechanistic aspects of promising food processing technologies. Each article should make a clear contribution to further the understanding of a given science and technology area, and help clarify, when possible, whether or not it could be adopted by the food industry. Launched in January 1998, Inorganic Chemistry Communications is an international journal dedicated to the rapid publication of short communications in the major areas of inorganic, organometallic and supramolecular chemistry. Insurance: Mathematics and Economics is an international journal that intends to strengthen communication between individuals and groups who produce and apply research results in insurance and finance, aiming to integrate the currently fragmented research in both fields.
