Environmental Technology is a forum for the rapid publication of technological manuscripts in the field of applied environmental studies, including environmental engineering, environmental biotechnology, municipal and industrial waste management, air and water pollution control, solid waste management, industrial hygiene and associated technologies. Environmental Technology is intended to provide rapid publication of new developments in the field of pollution and environmental technology. The journal has an international readership with a relatively broad scientific base. Contributions will be accepted from scientists and engineers in industry, government and universities. Accepted manuscripts are generally published within four months. Environmental Technology Reviews  provides comprehensive, critical and timely reviews of important research in the field of applied environmental studies, including:

• environmental engineering;
• environmental biotechnology;
• environmental monitoring and assessment;
• circular economy developments;
• municipal and industrial waste management and associated technologies;
• atmospheric science and emissions technology;
• management of water in the municipal, industrial and natural environments;
• soil systems and land management; and
• bioenergy.

Environmental Technology Reviews accepts papers in all of the areas above. The journal also has an annual Journal Focus Section, for which papers that examine a selected area are particularly encouraged. The 2016 Journal Focus Section is Circular Economy Developments.

Environmental Technology Reviews  is a forum to capture and analyse significant developments in the rapidly developing area of environmental science and engineering research.  The world today faces environmental challenges such as climate change, resource sustainability and pollution at a scale never seen before. This journal examines these issues for  an international readership with a relatively broad scientific base and we welcome contributions from scientists and engineers in industry, government and universities.

Environmental Technology Reviews publishes peer reviewed Brief Reviews (up to 5000 words) and Critical Reviews. The length of Critical Review papers is more flexible than for a Brief Review paper, but is usually in the range of up to 12,000 words. Brief Reviews are reviews on a well-defined, specific topic area covering approximately the last five years and the most interesting/significant developments in that area.

Epigenomics promises to elucidate the inner workings of the genome. The power of this new discipline lies in its promise to provide us with novel insights into the inner workings of our genomes through its potential to detect quantitative changes, multiple modifications and the regulatory sequences outside that of our gene sequences. The advent of numerous epigenomics strategies has emerged to detect large numbers of DNA methylation variations and chromatin modifications – two mechanisms that are at the core of epigenomic research. Epigenomics provides the forum to address the rapidly progressing research developments in this ever-expanding field; to report on the major challenges ahead and critical advances that are propelling the science forward. The journal delivers this information in concise, at-a-glance article formats – invaluable to a time-constrained community.

Ergonomics, also known as human factors, is the scientific discipline that seeks to understand and improve human interactions with products, equipment, environments and systems. Drawing upon human biology, psychology, engineering and design, ergonomics aims to develop and apply knowledge and techniques to optimise system performance, whilst protecting the health, safety and well-being of individuals involved. The attention of ergonomics extends across work, leisure and other aspects of our daily lives. The journal Ergonomics is an international multi-disciplinary refereed publication, with a 50 year tradition of disseminating high quality research. Original submissions, both theoretical and applied, are invited from across the subject, including physical, cognitive, organisational and environmental ergonomics. Papers reporting the findings of research from cognate disciplines are also welcome, where these contribute to understanding equipment, tasks, jobs, systems and environments and the corresponding needs, abilities and limitations of people.

iOpenAccess option available for this journal Ethnicity & Health is an international academic journal designed to meet the world-wide interest in the health of ethnic groups. It embraces original papers from the full range of disciplines concerned with investigating the relationship between 'ethnicity' and 'health' (including medicine and nursing, public health, epidemiology, social sciences, population sciences, and statistics). The journal also covers issues of culture, religion, gender, class, migration, lifestyle and racism, in so far as they relate to health and its anthropological and social aspects. Free Online Access to Volume 22, Issue 1 Ethology Ecology & Evolution provides publication of research and review articles on all aspects of animal behaviour, ecology and evolution. Articles should emphasise the significance of the research for understanding the function, ecology, evolution or genetics of behaviour. The European Research Area has now become a reality. The prime objective of the EJECE is to fully document advances in European scientific and technical research in the fields of sustainable construction and environmental engineering. In particular regard to the latter, the environmental preservation of natural media (soils and rocks) and the mitigation of soil pollutions, natural and technological risks are now not only major societal challenges, but they are also the source of scientific and technical developments that could be extremely beneficial.Areas covered by the EJECE include rheology of geomaterials (cement, soils, rocks), natural media (muds, snow, ice, etc.) and granular materials, soil-fluid-structure interactions and their coupling with temperature, chemistry (degradation, etc.) and time (durability, ageing, etc.), computation and design of structures and engineering works. The new experimental facilities and measurement tools (metrology and sensors in laboratories and in the field, etc.) and the characterizing of displacement fields and of micro-meso-structures of materials (scanner, tomodensitometer, etc.) give rise to major innovations which concern thus primarily the EJECE . Finally the numerical methods (finite differences, finite elements, discrete elements, particulate methods, etc), which constitute obviously the bases of the modelling and of the computation of structures and engineering works, fall completely in the interest area of the Journal.Furthermore, as issues related to the environment are obviously of a pluridisciplinary nature, contributions based on probability, reliability studies or statistics, geology or geophysics, thermodynamics, physics of divided matter or chemistry of materials are welcome.The Journal has a wide audience that extends from public and private researchers to engineers in research departments or companies, and aspects linked to applications or to normalisation will also be published.
