Original work on all fields of ornithology, without any geographical limitation, is published in Acrocephalus. However, articles covering the south-eastern European and eastern Mediterranean regions are particularly encouraged. Review articles, original articles, points-of-view, specialist and scientific comments (Editorial, Forum), short communications, short notes ('From the ornithological notebook'), diploma abstracts and book reviews (New books) are considered for publication. Contributions can be published in English or Slovene.

acta ethologica publishes empirical and theoretical research papers, short communications, commentaries, reviews and book reviews in the field of ethology and related disciplines, with a strong concentration on the behavior biology of humans and other animals. The journal places special emphasis on studies integrating proximate (mechanisms, development) and ultimate (function, evolution) levels in the analysis of behavior. Aspects of particular interest include: adaptive plasticity of behavior, inter-individual and geographic variations in behavior, mechanisms underlying behavior, evolutionary processes and functions of behavior, and many other topics. acta ethologica is a journal of the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA), with the co-operation of the Portuguese Ethological Society (SPE) and the Spanish Society of Ethology (SEE).

African Invertebrates is an international peer-reviewed journal that covers the taxonomy, systematics, biology, biogeography, ecology, conservation and palaeontology of Afrotropical invertebrates, whether terrestrial, freshwater or marine, published jointly by the Council of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and Pensoft Publishers. A printed version of the journal is produced twice a year. All contributions are published in English (British Standard), with an option to add an abstract in any other language that uses Latin or Cyrillic alphabet. When preparing manuscripts, authors are encouraged to make use of extensive holdings of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and other South African museums and collections, and to deposit holotypes (paratypes) and voucher specimens in recognised South African institutions.

African Journal of Herpetology (AJH)  serves as an outlet for original research on the biology of African amphibians and reptiles. African Journal of Range & Forage Science is the leading rangeland and pastoral journal in Africa. African Zoology continues Zoologica Africana and South African Journal of Zoology and is published by the Zoological Society of Southern Africa. Full-length papers and short communications on original research on any aspect of zoology in Africa (or that is relevant to Africa) and its surrounding oceans, seas and islands will be considered for publication, especially studies in: ecology; ethology; physiology; functional morphology; genetics; taxonomy; systematics and phylogeny; biodiversity and conservation.

Agribusiness: An International Journal publishes research that improves our understanding of how food systems work, how they are evolving, and how public and/or private actions affect the performance of the global agro-industrial complex. The journal focuses on the application of economic analysis to the organization and performance of firms and markets in industrial food systems. Subject matter areas include supply and demand analysis, industrial organization analysis, price and trade analysis, marketing, finance, and public policy analysis. International, cross-country comparative, and within-country studies are welcome. Agricultural History Review is the leading journal for the publication of original research in all aspects of agricultural and rural history. First published in 1952, the Review reflects the diversity of approaches which are possible in rural history. Its editors welcome submissions in any aspect of the history of agriculture, rural society and rural economy over the past millennium. Whilst it is not concerned with current policy debates, it is interested in considering discussions of the historical dimensions of current problems in rural society and food supply. The Review is especially strong in British rural history, but actively seeks submissions in European and American rural history and has no bar on submissions concerning the remainder of the world. It is also the journal of record for book reviews in the discipline. Agricultural History Review has an international editorial board. The current editors are Professor R. W. Hoyle, University of Reading, UK who is responsible for articles, and Professor H. R. French, University of Exeter who serves as editor for book reviews. The Review is fully peer-refereed.

Agricultural Systems is an international journal that deals with interactions - among the components of agricultural systems, among hierarchical levels of agricultural systems, between agricultural and other land use systems, and between agricultural systems and their natural and social environments. In particular, its aim is to encourage integration of knowledge among those disciplines that underpin agriculture. Many contributions will therefore be multi- or inter-disciplinary. Papers generally focus on either methodological approaches to understanding and managing interactions within or among agricultural systems, or the application of holistic or quantitative systems approaches to a range of problems within agricultural systems and their interactions with other systems.
