Acceptable paper types are research articles (short or full communications), methods, mini-reviews, and commentaries in the following areas:
Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry has been published continuously since its creation in 1986 (previous to that date it was called the Journal of Applied Biochemistry and was published from 1979 to 1985). Today it enjoys a superb track record, attracting distinguished authors from academia and industry from all over the world, reflecting its international status. Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry is now published bi-monthly by Wiley-Blackwell, confirming the journal's dedication to change and commitment to rapid publication of high-quality, cutting-edge research at the interface between life sciences and their translation. It publishes new concepts in technology/methodology of relevance to the biological, biomedical, agricultural and environmental sciences. Promising advances in life sciences are leading to the identification of the molecular sources of disease and the creation of new generation of medicines for diseases for which there are currently either no therapies or inadequate treatments. Therapeutic proteins and antibodies are already having a significant impact in treatment of disease. Therapeutic genes and viruses promise to have an even bigger impact on human healthcare. DNA vaccine and gene-therapy are under intense development and new research areas such as tissue engineering, stem-cell therapeutics, germ-line therapy and regenerative medicines are expected to create a new wave of medicines that will make today's treatment of diseases look distinctively primitive. All this provides major challenges to life scientists and engineers engaged in discoveries and their translation to practical outcomes. Turning a new discovery into a successful application has become a highly integrated, multidisciplinary activity, and Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry is uniquely placed to provide an international forum for the dissemination of information and discussion by researchers working across the many subject groups. The journal welcomes submissions of original articles on the following topics: nucleic acids and proteins engineering and purification; genes peptides and proteins therapy; biomaterials; biological modeling; stem cells and tissue engineering; bio-imaging; bio-sensors; biotechnology of food and natural compounds. Original papers and reviews as well as special issues can be also invited by the Editorial Board. Papers are easily submitted online at: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/bab.

Our ambition and goal is to become the leading science publisher in Central and Eastern Europe. We publish science journals based in Central and Eastern Europe. Most of them are co-published with Springer and distributed worldwide by Springer. We are unique in a sense that we not only focus on Central and Eastern Europe, but we also work hard to excel other publishers by being faster, more active and more online in everything we do.
BGER is a well established hardcover annual reviews series from the National Centre for Macromolecular Hydrodynamics and published by Nottingham University Press. It benefits from the longstanding relationship of the NCMH with the Biotechnology Industry. Each volume contains approximately 13-17 original, major invited review articles covering important developments in industrial, agricultural and medical applications of Biotechnology (widest sense). Following requests from authors and readers, and to celebrate 25 years of the volume we have now moved to a Journal format.

It publishes articles in the broad areas of tropical ecosystems and environmental impacts, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, environmental and forest biotechnology, covering all aspects of the discipline of biology. Articles published in the journal are papers reporting results of original researches, reviews on spesific topics not available elsewhere in up-to-date form, and short communication in which advances in knowledge of significance are briefly announced.
The purpose of this journal is to publish original contributions describing the toxicity of chemicals to developing organisms and the process of reproduction. The scope of the journal will inlcude:• toxicity of new chemical entities and biotechnology derived products to developing organismal systems; .
John Wiley & Sons and the Teratology Society are pleased to announce a new journal, Birth Defects Research . This new journal is a comprehensive resource of original research and reviews in fields related to embryo-fetal development and reproduction. Birth Defects Research draws from the expertise and reputation of two current Wiley journals, and introduces a new forum for reviews in developmental biology and embryology. The new journal consists of three parts:
Blood is a weekly medical journal published by the American Society of Hematology. It was founded by Dr. William Dameshek, the researcher credited with describing the concept of myeloproliferative diseases and participating in the first studies of nitrogen mustard in various blood malignancies, in 1946, and has since been in continuous publication. With 1,364 articles published annually, an impact factor of 10.555, and an Immediacy Index of 2.209, Blood is the most cited peer-reviewed publication in the field. It provides an international forum for the publication of original articles describing basic laboratory, translational, and clinical investigations in hematology. The journal covers all aspects of hematology, including disorders of leukocytes, both benign and malignant, erythrocytes, platelets, hemostatic mechanisms, vascular biology, immunology, and hematologic oncology. All articles undergo a rigorous peer review and are selected on the basis of the originality of the findings, the superior quality of the work described, and the clarity of presentation. Blood is indexed and abstracted by Index Medicus, Excerpta Medica, Current Contents/Life Sciences, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, Science Citation Index, SCISEARCH, Automatic Subject Citation Alert, ISI/BIOMED, and BIOSIS.
Blood Cells, Molecules & Diseases emphasizes not only blood cells, but also covers the molecular basis of hematologic disease and studies of the diseases themselves. This is an invaluable resource to all those interested in the study of hematology, cell biology, immunology, and human genetics.Research Areas include:• Hematolymphopoiesis• Genetics of Blood Cells and Proteins• Molecular Biology of Blood Cells and Proteins• Pathophysiology of Blood Cells and Proteins• Hematological Malignancies• Disorders of Blood Cells and Coagulation ProteinsNote to Authors - please use the "Submit your paper" button on the right when submittingBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. An international multidisciplinary journal devoted to fundamental research in the brain sciences. Brain Research publishes papers reporting interdisciplinary investigations of nervous system structure and function that are of general interest to the international community of neuroscientists. As is evident from the journals name, its scope is broad, ranging from cellular and molecular studies through systems neuroscience, cognition and disease. Invited reviews are also published; suggestions for and inquiries about potential reviews are welcomed.
Brain Stimulation aims to be the premier journal for publication of original research in the field of neuromodulation. The journal includes: a) Original articles (up to 5,000 words); b) Brief reports (up to 2,000 words); c) Invited and original reviews; d) Technology and methodological perspectives (reviews of new devices, description of new methods, etc.); and e) Letters to the Editor. Special issues of the journal will be considered based on scientific merit. The scope of Brain Stimulation extends across the entire field of brain stimulation, including noninvasive and invasive techniques and technologies that alter brain function through the use of electrical, magnetic, radiowave, or focally targeted pharmacologic stimulation. This includes investigations that study the effects of brain stimulation on basic processes, such as gene expression and other aspects of molecular biology, neurochemical regulation, functional brain activity, sensorimotor function, and cognitive and affective processes at the systems level. The journal seeks the highest level of research on the biophysics and biopsychophysics of stimulation paradigms as well as the use of these techniques as a probe to outline patterns of neural connectivity. As an equal partner with this basic emphasis, the journal will have strong representation of research on the therapeutic potential and adverse effects of the stimulation technologies. The inclusion of research in therapeutics will represent not only clinical trials, but also conceptual pieces, discussions of ethics as they pertain to this field, services research, etc.
