Medicinal Chemistry Research is a journal for the prompt disclosure of novel experimental achievements in the many facets of drug design, drug discovery, and the elucidation of mechanisms of action of biologically active compounds. Articles are sought which emphasize research in chemical biological relationships, especially on: structure-activity relationships, investigations of biochemical and pharmacological targets of drug action, and correlations of structures with the mode of action of biologically active compounds. Studies will be welcomed that increase our understanding of biochemical interactions between drug molecules, ions, free radicals, and sterically important sections of macromolecular targets.The journal will strive to publish short papers of approximately 8-10 pages within two months of acceptance. The journal publishes timely, critical reviews of topics related to medicinal research, broadly defined, to which the authors have made significant contributions. Appropriate topics include, but are not limited to, the underlying pathophysiology of important diseases and disease vectors; therapeutic approaches to the treatment of various diseases; the properties of molecular targets for therapeutic agents; important new methodologies facilitating the search for therapies; genomics and proteomics; structure-activity correlations of drug series; the development of new imaging and diagnostic tools; drug metabolism; drug delivery; and chemical, pharmacological, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and clinical characteristics of important drugs. Reviews are mainly solicited by the editors; however, voluntary contributions are also encouraged. In the latter case, potential authors are asked to contact the Editor-in-chief with an outline before beginning to write in order to avoid duplication of effort and to ensure suitability of the topic and the level of coverage.

The Microchemical Journal is a peer reviewed journal devoted to all aspects and phases of analytical chemistry and chemical analysis. The Microchemical Journal publishes articles which are at the forefront of modern analytical chemistry and cover innovations in the techniques to the finest possible limits. This includes fundamental aspects, instrumentation, new developments, innovative and novel methods and applications including environmental and clinical field.Traditional classical analytical methods such as spectrophotometry and titrimetry as well as established instrumentation methods such as flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, gas chromatography, and modified glassy or carbon electrode electrochemical methods will be considered, provided they show significant improvements and novelty compared to the established methods.The journal does not consider routine analytical method development in such areas as pharmaceutical samples, chromatography, minor incremental changes such as sample preparation and pre-concentration for electrochemical, chromatography and spectrochemical methods. Methods considered will not be waters or situations where the methods cannot determine the molecules or metals of interest in real samples and depends on spikes, or simply using standard chemometric methods. Fragmentation of work is strongly discouraged.The journal was established in the late 1950's as a journal devoted to the rapidly developing field of microchemistry. As the area of microchemistry has evolved into analyses in microgram masses and microvolumes (and lower), lower detection limits, and more sophisticated and compact instrumentation, the Microchemical Journal has continued to evolve and change with this growing and expanding area, covering now analytical chemical research in its broadest sense. Microchimica Acta (MCA) has established itself as a premier forum for research results in modern (bio)analytical sciences based on the use of micro/nano-structured materials. Coverage includes fundamental studies on, practical applications of, and new approaches towards micro-/nanomaterials such as micro- and nanoparticles, imprints, micro/nanodroplets, or micro/nanostructured devices for use in (bio)analytical applications including sensing and preconcentration. Microporous and Mesoporous Materials covers novel and significant aspects of porous solids classified as either microporous (pore size up to 2 nm) or mesoporous (pore size 2 to 50 nm). The porosity should have a specific impact on the material properties or application.
