Geologia Croatica is a scientific journal of the Croatian Geological Survey and the Croatian Geological Society, dealing with all aspects of Earth sciences. It is published semi-annually in English, and is widely distributed throughout the international scientific community .

Geologica Belgica is a Belgian journal that welcomes papers concerning all aspects of the earth sciences, with a particular emphasis on the regional geology of Belgium and central Africa. Submitted papers should be concise, presenting material not previously published. The journal encourages the publication of articles from Belgian junior authors. Short letters are accepted. Papers written in English are preferred, but papers in French, Dutch and German are also accepted. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers.

In recent years there has been a growth of specialist journals within geological sciences. Nevertheless, there is an important role for a journal of an interdisciplinary kind. Traditionally, GEOLOGICAL JOURNAL has been such a journal and continues in its aim of promoting interest in all branches of the Geological Sciences, through publication of original research papers and review articles. The journal publishes Special Issues with a common theme or regional coverage e.g. Chinese Dinosaurs; Tectonics of the Eastern Mediterranean, Triassic basins of the Central and North Atlantic Borderlands). These are extensively cited. The Journal has a particular interest in publishing papers on regional case studies from any global locality which have conclusions of general interest. Such papers may emphasize aspects across the full spectrum of geological sciences. Sedimentology and Geomorphology - facies analysis, regional sedimentary environments, basin analysis, process of sedimentation, general palaeogeographic reconstruction, diagenesis. [facies analysis, sequence stratigraphy, basin analysis, palaeography, diagenesis, especially in petroleum geology.] Palaeontology - macroevolution, extinctions, biostratigraphy, palaeoecology, functional morphology, biogeography, evolution, taphonomony, ichnology. Quaternary Geology and Environmental Change - recent climate and sea-level change, Quaternary fossils, glaciations. Tectonics and Structural Geology - including structural geology, strain analysis, fabrics, global tectonics, experimental deformation, Neotectonics, geophysics. Geochemistry and Geochronology - stable and unstable isotope studies, major and trace element studies, genetic geochemical modelling, fluid - rock interaction, applied geochemistry. Metamorphic Geology - regional studies, determination of T/P , fluid composition, crystallization paths, history of burial and uplift of large metamorphic areas. Volcanic and Igneous Geology - regional studies of igneous provinces, magma genesis, magma composition, magmatic product, igneous centres, petrological studies.

Geology of Ore Deposits (Geologiya rudnykh mestorozhdenii) is one of the few special periodicals devoted to metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources and the conditions of their formation and distribution. Founded in 1959, it offers original scientific articles and reviews on a wide range of problems in theoretical and applied science. The coverage focuses on such problems as deep structure of the Earth, geodynamic processes and ore formation; distribution pattern of metallogenic zones and mineral deposits; geology and localization conditions of large and unique metallic and nonmetallic deposits; mineralogy of metallic and nonmetallic deposits; physicochemical parameters, isotopic characteristics, and geochemical environment of ore deposition; evolution of ore-forming systems; radiogeology and radiogeoecology, economic problems of ore districts and deposits development.

Established in 1961, the journal Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (Geomagnetizm i aeronomiya) covers the fields of interplanetary space; geoeffective solar events; the magnetosphere; the ionosphere; the upper and middle atmosphere; the action of solar variability and activity on atmospheric parameters and climate; the main magnetic field and its secular variations, excursion, and inversion; and other related topics. The journal presents results of research from Russia, other NIS countries, and the international geophysical community.

Call for Papers - volcanic activity modelling special issueSpecial Issue on Observation and Prediction of Environmental Change in the Era of 8216;COLLABORATORIES'Geomatics, Natural Hazards and Risk publishes papers that deal with new concepts, approaches and case studies using geospatial (GIS and GPS) and remote sensing techniques to study monitoring, mapping, risk management and mitigation, risk vulnerability and early warning of natural hazards. Geomechanics is concerned with the application of the principle of mechanics to earth-materials (namely geo-material). Geoengineering covers a wide range of engineering disciplines related to geo-materials, such as foundation engineering, slope engineering, tunnelling, rock engineering, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering. Geomechanics and Geoengineering is a major publication channel for research in the areas of soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical and geological engineering, engineering geology, geo-environmental engineering and all geo-material related engineering and science disciplines. The Journal provides an international forum for the exchange of innovative ideas, especially between researchers in Asia and the rest of the world.The Journal welcomes papers concerned with any aspect of geomechanics and geoengineering, including material behaviour, analysis procedures, design and construction. Papers published may take one of the following forms: practioners' detailed records of construction and performance (case studies), academic research studies, state-of-the-art reviews by invited authors, symposia in print, technical notes and discussion.
