Aims and scope Mathematical Geosciences (formerly Mathematical Geology) publishes original, high-quality, interdisciplinary papers in geomathematics focusing on quantitative methods and studies of the Earth, its natural resources and the environment.  This international publication is the official journal of the IAMG.   Mathematical Geosciences is an essential reference for researchers and practitioners of geomathematics who develop and apply quantitative models to earth science and geo-engineering problems.  Renaming the journal as of January 1, 2008 aims to better reflect the content of the journal and meets the growing multi-disciplinary interests and diversity of our readers and contributors.

METEORITICS & PLANETARY SCIENCE is an international monthly journal of planetary science published by the Meteoritical Society - a scholarly organization promoting research and education in planetary science. First issued in 1953, the journal publishes research articles describing the latest results of new studies, invited reviews of major topics in planetary science, editorials on issues of current interest in the field, and book reviews. The publications are original, not considered for publication elsewhere, and undergo peer-review. Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics publishes original research papers discussing physical and chemical processes in both clear and cloudy atmospheres. The following topic areas are particularly emphasized: atmospheric dynamics and general circulation; synoptic meteorology; weather systems in specific regions, such as the tropics, the polar caps and the oceans; atmospheric energetics; numerical modeling and forecasting; physical and chemical processes in the atmosphere, including radiation, optical effects, electricity, and atmospheric turbulence and transport processes, and mathematical and statistical techniques applied to meteorological data sets. METHODS IN OCEANOGRAPHYMethods in Oceanography is an international journal for ocean researchers. It publishes original research on new methods in all aspects of oceanographic research such as fabrication and testing of new instruments, significant advances in the development of new methods for the interpretation of either existing or future data, as well as the development of new platforms and plans for ocean sampling. Special issues will be dedicated to frontiers in oceanography methods that relate to contemporary issues. Micropaleontology is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed research on the fossilizing microbiota. Founded in 1981 (as the International Journal of Mine Water), Mine Water and the Environment presents original contributions addressing technical questions and practical issues related to the evaluation, prediction, prevention, or control of water problems at mining operations or their impact on the environment.
