Ciência Rural is a bimonthly journal edited by the Centro de Ciências Rurais (CCR) with additional financial support from the Graduate Programs of the Centro de Ciências Rurais and Office of the Graduate School - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Financial support has also been granted by Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (FAPERGS). Since 2003 last issue of the year 33 (6) 2003 Ciência Rural has also been granted by CNPq. The journal was first edited in 1971 with the name of #!#!Revista do Centro de Ciências Rurais#!#! and in 1991 was renamed as Ciência Rural. Its objective is publishing original articles, reviews and notes, prepared by national and international experts which contribute to the scientific area of Agronomy, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine and Forestry Science. The abbreviated title of the journal is Cienc. Rural, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.

Publication of complete and original scientific articles, in the areas of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Production, Biology and correlated areas.

Its mission is to publish scientific articles in areas of plant and animal sciences including Agronomy, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Rural Engineering, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnology.

Based on the concept of "One World, One Health, One Medicine", interdisciplinary cooperation between specialists in human and animal medicine is of mutual interest and benefit. Therefore, there is need to combine the respective interest of physicians, veterinarians and other health professionals for comparative studies relevant to either human or animal medicine.Comparative Immunology, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases aims to respond to this concept of "One World, One Health, One Medicine" and to provide a venue for scientific exchange.The journal is open to subjects of common interest related to the immunology, immunopathology, microbiology and epidemiology of human and animal infectious diseases, especially zoonotic infections, and animal models of human infectious diseases. The role of environmental factors in disease emergence is emphasized.Original research papers of high quality and novelty on aspects of host response, molecular biology, pathogenesis, control and prevention and treatment of microbial diseases of domestic animals and wildlife (if the infections are of zoonotic interest and/or in relation with domestic animals), laboratory animals and animal models of human infections are considered for publication. Papers dealing primarily with epidemiology will only be considered if they demonstrate a clear impact on the pathogenesis or prevention of a disease. Similarly, articles addressing microbiology, immunology or pathogenesis must address issues of comparative medical interest.Review articles are highly appreciated. They should focus either on a pathogen or on analyses of the mechanisms of host-microbe interactions including epidemiological studies.Papers focusing solely on diagnostic techniques, case reports or drug trials will not be published. Papers of geographically limited interest, which repeat what had been established elsewhere, will not be considered. The readership of the journal is global. The Editors reserve the right to suggest submission to another journal for those papers which they feel would be more appropriate for consideration by that journal.Papers will be rejected if standards of care of, or procedures performed on animals are not beyond those expected of humane veterinary care. Standards must, at least, meet the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research involving Animals, as issued by the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences. Domestic Animal Endocrinology publishes scientific papers dealing with the study of the endocrine physiology of domestic animal species. This journal appears monthly and provides practical educational articles on diagnosis and treatment fro equine veterinary clinicians. Articles are also of interest to veterinary students and others with an involvement in the equine veterinary world. This information is provided in Case Reports accompanied by Satellite Articles or Clinical Commentaries, which expand on the subject discussed in the report. EVE also provides Tutorial Articles written by acknowledged experts in particular fields to give a comprehensive and up-to-date review of a clinically-relevant subject. All articles (apart from Clinical Commentaries) are peer reviewed.

In Practice provides continuing educational material for veterinary practitioners. Peer-reviewed review articles by experts in their field cover all species, but principally farm and companion animals, providing a regular update on clinical developments. Published 10 times a year, it also includes articles on veterinary practice management. First published in 1979, it now provides an extensive archive of clinical review articles. In Practice is produced in conjunction with Veterinary Record, the official journal of the British Veterinary Association (BVA). It is published on behalf of the BVA by BMJ Group.
