African (formerly South African) Journal of Marine Science provides an international forum for the publication of original, peer-reviewed contributions in all disciplines of marine research, including reports on new techniques and methods. The scope covers all aspects of marine science, from estuaries and coastal waters to the open ocean, from chemical and physical to biological oceanography, and including fisheries, socio-economic science, co-management, ecosystems and other topical advisory subjects. Contributions from African waters, including the Southern Ocean, are particularly encouraged, although not to the exclusion of those from elsewhere. They may take the form of a paper, a critical review or a short communication. The journal publishes proceedings of symposia in dedicated issues, as well as guest-edited suites on thematic topics in regular issues. The journal is produced by NISC in association with the Fisheries branch of the South African Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF). Biomaterials is an international journal covering the science and clinical application of biomaterials. A biomaterial is now defined as a substance that has been engineered to take a form which, alone or as part of a complex system, is used to direct, by control of interactions with components of living systems, the course of any therapeutic or diagnostic procedure. The aims of CoDesign are: * to report new research and scholarship in principles, procedures and techniques relevant to collaboration in design; * to act as an international forum for discussion of collaborative design issues; * to foster communication between academic researchers and industry practitioners concerned with collaborative design; * to encourage a flow of information across the boundaries of the disciplines contributing to collaborative design; * to stimulate ideas and provoke widespread discussion with a forward-looking perspective. CoDesign is inclusive, encompassing collaborative, co-operative, concurrent, human-centred, participatory, socio-technical and community design among others. Research in any design domain concerned specifically with the nature of collaboration design is of relevance to the Journal. Research papers which present theory, report empirical studies, and describe and evaluate collaborative design methods, tools and techniques are welcomed. Papers reflecting on practical experience of collaborative design are also welcomed. The purpose of the journal is to report original research on all aspects of plastic deformation, damage and fracture behaviour of isotropic as well as anisotropic solids, including the thermodynamics of plasticity and fracture, continuum theory, and macroscopic as well as microscopic phenomena.The topics of interest include plastic behaviour of single crystals and polycrystalline metals, ceramics, rocks and soils, composites, nanocrystalline and microelectronics materials, shape memory alloys, ferroelectric ceramics, thin films and polymers, as well as plasticity aspects of failure and fracture mechanics. Papers on modeling of finite nonlinear elastic deformation, with similarities to modeling of plastic deformation, are also welcome.The Journal will contain research papers, review articles, research notes, letters to the editor, and academic advertisements (books, journals, conferences, and symposia). Strain-rate dependent and strain-rate independent constitutive models to predict observed phemonena during quasi-static, dynamic or cyclic thermo-mechanical loading, behaviour of granular or porous solids under high confining pressures and at high temperatures, multiscale modeling of various deformation mechanisms (dislocation, twinning, and phase transformation), and models with capability for predicting the behaviour of composite materials based onknown plastic behaviour of matrix and fibers in such materials, are some examples of the main themes of this journal. Revealing applications of the new models of plasticity, including modelling of the observed phenomena in metal forming processes are also of interest.

Plant Biosystems is the research journal edited by the Societa Botanica Italiana. Published three times a year, the journal is open to papers dealing with all aspects of plant biology, systematics, and ecology. Research studies containing novel and significant findings, from the molecular level to ecosystems and from micro-organisms to flowering plants, are welcome. Plant Biosystems succeeded 'Giornale Botanico Italiano', the historical journal of the Societa Botanica Italiana, from the year 1997. • Ecohydraulic topics are broadly based on the trilogy of a) aquatic biota movements, b) e-flows, i.e. environmental, instream or ecological flow regimes, and c) habitat or ecological restoration.
• Ecohydraulics deals with aquatic life in freshwater, lentic and marine ecosystems, native as well as introduced or invasive species, climate change effects, environmental impacts and mitigation measures; incorporates species-habitat relationships, the need and ways to ensure biota can overcome any artificial physical or behavioural barriers to their movements; interactions of ecological and biological aspects with groundwater, ice and thermal regimes, water quality, ocean habitats, wetlands, deltas, floodplains or channels.
• Ecohydraulic science pertinent to aquatic life, including fluid mechanics, morphodynamics, fluvial geomorphology, hydrology and ice processes.
