19th-Century Music publishes articles on all aspects of music having to do with the #!#!long#!#! nineteenth century. The period of coverage has no definite boundaries; it can extend well backward into the eighteenth century and well forward into the twentieth. Published tri-annually, the journal is open to studies of any musical or cultural development that affected nineteenth-century music and any such developments that nineteenth-century music subsequently affected. The topics are as diverse as the long century itself. They include music of any type or origin and include, but are not limited to, issues of composition, performance, social and cultural context, hermeneutics, aesthetics, music theory, analysis, documentation, gender, sexuality, history, and historiography.

Agriculture and Human Values is the journal of the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society. Geospatial Health is the official journal of the Global Network of Geospatial Health (www.GnosisGIS.org) which was founded as the result at a Team Residency at the Rockefeller Foundation's Study and Conference Center Bellagio (Italy), April 10-14, 2000. The focus of the journal is on all aspects of the application of geographic information systems, remote sensing and other spatial analysis tools in human and veterinary health. For the first three years, there will be two issues per year. It will be published both printed as hard copy (ISSN 1827-1987) and on-line (ISSN 1970-7096).

Formerly called Ch'ing-shih wen-t'i through Volume 5 (Print ISSN: 0577-9235) Late Imperial China is the principal journal for scholars of Chinas Ming and Qing dynasties. The journal presents methodologically innovative work in political and intellectual history, social, economic, cultural, and gender history, as well as historical demography, art history, religious studies, philosophy, and literature. Late Imperial China regularly features new work by scholars working all over the globe, including North America, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and the Peoples Republic of China.

The journal publishes theoretical and research papers on cognitive brain development, from infancy through childhood and adolescence and into adulthood. It covers neurocognitive development and neurocognitive processing in both typical and atypical development, including social and affective aspects. Appropriate methodologies for the journal include, but are not limited to, functional neuroimaging (fMRI and MEG), electrophysiology (EEG and ERP), NIRS and transcranial magnetic stimulation, as well as other basic neuroscience approaches using cellular models that directly address cognitive brain development, patient studies, case studies, post-mortem studies and pharmacological studies. As climate change is happening and mankind is likely to increase its burden on the environment, European environmental politics and its legal implementation across an enlarged EU is becoming ever more important. The Journal for European Environmental and Planning Law provides a unique intellectual forum for debating and analysing European environmental policies and law. Its aim is to facilitate an enhanced Community wide common understanding of how European environmental policy and law are regulated, transposed and implemented in different Member States.

Journal of Chinese Overseas publishes research articles, reports and book reviews dealing with Chinese overseas throughout the world, and the communities from which they trace their origins. Moving across regions and disciplines, the Journal examines Chineseness in its many diverse settings. With a Board of Editors drawn from fields as varied as history, anthropology, sociology, geography, cultural studies and political science, the Journal contributes to transnational studies, as well as the study of Chinese communities in specific national contexts.

The Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research (JHTR) is now indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index. The Impact Factor is pending and will be published in June 2011. JHTR publishes original research, both conceptual and empirical, that clearly enhances the theoretical development of the hospitality and tourism field. The word contribution is key. JHTR encourages research based on a variety of methods, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. JHTR also includes a Research Notes and Industry Viewpoints section.

The Journal of Muslims in Europe is devoted to publishing articles dealing with contemporary issues on Islam and Muslims in Europe from all disciplines and across the whole region, as well as historical studies of relevance to the present. The focus is on articles offering cross-country comparisons or with significant theoretical or methodological relevance to the field. Case studies with innovative approaches or on under-explored issues, and studies of policy and policy development in the various European institutions, including the European courts, and transnational movements and social and cultural processes are also welcome. The journal also welcomes book reviews.

The Journal of the History of Biology is devoted to the history of the biological sciences, with additional interest and concern in philosophical and social issues confronting biology. While all historical epochs are touched upon, the journal pays particular attention to developments during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The journal serves both the working biologist who needs a full understanding to the historical and philosophical bases of the field and the historian of biology interested in following developments in the biological sciences.
