Physiology & Behavior is aimed at the causal physiological mechanisms of behavior and its modulation by environmental factors. The journal invites original reports in the broad area of behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, in which at least one variable is physiological and the primary emphasis and theoretical context are behavioral. The range of subjects includes behavioral neuroendocrinology, psychoneuroimmunology, learning and memory, ingestion, social behavior, and studies related to the mechanisms of psychopathology. Contemporary reviews and theoretical articles are welcomed and the Editors invite such proposals from interested authors.Thematic issues and more comprehensive studies are also considered for publication, subject to the same review standards and process. This journal brings together research that informs the fields of global social work, social development, and social welfare policy and practice. It serves as an outlet for manuscripts and brief reports of interdisciplinary applied research which advance knowledge about global threats to the well-being of individuals, groups, families and communities. This research spans the full range of problems including global poverty, food and housing insecurity, economic development, environmental safety, social determinants of health, maternal and child health, mental health, addiction, disease and illness, gender and income inequality, human rights and social justice, access to health care and social resources, strengthening care and service delivery, trauma, crises, and responses to natural disasters, war, violence, population movements and trafficking, war and refugees, immigration/migration, human trafficking, orphans and vulnerable children.  Research that recognizes the significant link between individuals, families and communities and their external environments, as well as the interrelatedness of race, cultural, context and poverty, will be particularly welcome.

Pedagogy, Culture & Society is a fully-refereed international journal that seeks to provide an international forum for pedagogy discussion and debate. The identity of the journal is built on the belief that pedagogy debate has the following features: Pedagogy debate is not restricted by geographical boundaries: its participants are the international educational community and its proceedings appeal to a worldwide audience. Pedagogy debate is open and democratic: it is not the preserve of teachers, politicians, academics or administrators but requires open discussion. Teaching Education is an interdisciplinary forum for innovative practices and research in teacher education. Submission of manuscripts from educational researchers, teacher educators and practicing teachers is encouraged. Contributions are invited which address social and cultural, practical and theoretical aspects of teacher education in university-, college-, and school-based contexts.The journal's focus is on the challenges and possibilities of rapid social and cultural change for teacher education and, more broadly, for the transformation of education. Assessment (ASM) focuses on applied clinical assessment, with an emphasis on information relevant to the use of assessment measures, including test development, validation, and interpretation practices. For more than 30 years, the International Journal of Environmental Studies has been pre-eminent in its field. The environment is understood to comprise the natural and the man-made, and their interactions; including such matters as pollution, health effects, analytical methods, political approaches, social impacts etc. Papers favouring an interdisciplinary approach are preferred, because the evidence of 30 years appears to be that many intellectual tools and many causes and effects are at issue in any environmental problem - and its solution. This does not mean that a single focus or a narrow view is unwelcome; provided always that the evidence is indicated and the method is robust. Pragmatic decision-making and applicable policies are subjects of interest, together with the problems in establishing facts about dynamic systems where long periods of observation and precise measurement may be difficult to secure.In other words, a systems or holistic approach to the environment and a scientific analysis are complementary, and the distinction between 'hard' and 'soft' science is bridged in most of the papers published.These may be on any item in the agenda of environmental science: land, water, food, conservation, population, risk analysis, energy, economics of ecological and non-ecological approaches, social advocacy of arguments for change, legal measures, implications of urbanism, energy choices, waste disposal, recycling, transport systems and other issues of mass society. The Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition (JARMAC) publishes an engaging mix of the latest theoretically motivated research: empirical studies, review articles, and target papers with invited peer commentary. The goal of this unique journal is to reach not only psychological scientists working in this field and allied areas but also professionals and practitioners who seek to understand, apply, and benefit from research on memory and cognition. Therefore, each empirical article must include a section clearly describing the practical applications of the research.We encourage brevity and crisp, lively prose that appeals to a wide audience.
