Policy making and implementation, planning and management are widely recognized as central to effective health systems and services and to better health. Globalization, and the economic circumstances facing groups of countries world-wide, meanwhile present a great challenge for health planning and management. The aim of this quarterly journal is to offer a forum for publications which direct attention to major issues in health policy, planning and management. The intention is to maintain a balance between theory and practice, from a variety of disciplines, fields and perspectives. The Journal is explicitly international and multidisciplinary in scope and appeal: articles about policy, planning and management in countries at various stages of political, social, cultural and economic development are welcomed, as are those directed at the different levels (national, regional, local) of the health sector. Manuscripts are invited from a spectrum of different disciplines e.g., (the social sciences, management and medicine) as long as they advance our knowledge and understanding of the health sector. The Journal is therefore global, and eclectic. Editorial Policy The Editors welcome contributions from teachers, researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, whose knowledge, skills and visions bear broadly on the planning and management of the health sector. The overriding criterion for full-length manuscripts is originality, a high scholarly quality, and genuine interest to a wide audience. In addition to publishing original articles, the Editors encourage submission of: review articles; short notes on conceptual difficulties and technical developments; summaries of published research findings; book reviews; news of forthcoming colloquia; and summary proceedings of important national and international symposia falling within the aims and scope of the Journal. 2009 Impact Factor: 0.658 ((C) ISI Journal Citation Reports 2010).

Prosthetics and Orthotics International is an international, multidisciplinary journal for all professionals who have an interest in the medical, clinical, rehabilitation, technical, educational and research aspects of prosthetics, orthotics and rehabilitation engineering, as well as their related topics.The Journal publishes review articles, experimental and clinical research papers, case studies, technical notes, reports on prosthetics, orthotics and rehabilitation engineering practice, and book reviews. Occasionally special issues on specific themes of interest to the Journal's readership are published. Information about ISPO activities and the outcomes of the ISPO consensus conferences and working groups that are held are also published.

Neurocase is a rapid response journal of both adult and child case studies in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology. Four types of manuscript are considered for publication: single case investigations that bear directly on issues of relevance to theoretical issues or brain-behavior relationships; group studies of subjects with brain dysfunction that address issues relevant to the understanding of human cognition; reviews of important topics in the domains of neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology; and brief reports (up to 2500 words) that replicate previous reports dealing with issues of considerable significance. Of particular interest are investigations that include precise anatomical localization of lesions or neural activity via imaging or other techniques. Topic reviews are included in most issues. Crime, Law and Social Change is a peer reviewed journal that publishes essays and reviews addressing the political economy of organized crime whether at the transnational, national, regional or local levels anywhere in the world. In addition, the Journal presents work on financial crime, political corruption, environmental crime, and the expropriation of resources from developing nations. The includes coverage of the broad area of Human Rights, including historical and contemporary studies of genocide; essays on compensation and justice for survivors of mass murder and state-sponsored terrorism; analyses of international human rights organizations (both governmental and NGOs); and historical as well as contemporary essays focused on gender, racial and ethnic equality.

The modern theory of law is a general theory of law and society, which must be compatible with all existing legal systems in the social reality of the law. With regard to this social reality of the law, which determines all human experiencing and acting, legal theory is understood as an analytic hermeneutical and social science of action that is exclusively theory and not the philosophy of law. Above all, general legal theory in a world society that is now growing closer is concerned with encountering the equalization of national law with the law in general and avoiding the errors of a purely philosophical and moral legal concept and a strictly analytical jurisprudence, as well as overcoming the misjudgements of a purely historical and socioeconomic legal concept. In view of the constantly growing possibilities of normative communication, especially those of the law, and the multitude of state-organized legal systems, this international journal serves the jurisprudential basic research, the comparison of methods and theories, and the structure and expansion of a modern structure theory, especially the legal theory of norms and action.

ocial Theory & Health provides an international scholarly forum for theoretical reflection and debate on contemporary health issues, many of which bear directly on the planning and delivery of services. The journal aims to consolidate, refine and extend theoretically informed work on the role of health in modern societies.Interest in issues of theory and health now informs many academic and practice-oriented disciplines and crosses discipline boundaries. The Editors encourage contributions from all relevant disciplines, as well as from those involved directly in front-line treatment and care. Journal Philosophy

JTR is particularly interested in those studies that are inter-disciplinary, cross-cultural, cross-level, multi-method, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant in perspectives, so as to effectively investigate the holistic content and dynamic process of organizational and societal trust, without the perils of reductionist assumptions. JTR identifies the above as the emerging trends with the greatest potential to contribute to our rich and deep understanding about the complex phenomenon of trust.

Journal Scope

As an inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural journal dedicated to advancing a cross-level, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant journal, JTR provides a focal point for an open  dialogue and debate between diverse researchers, thus enhancing the understanding of trust in general and trust-related management in particular, especially in its organizational and social context in the broadest sense. Through both theoretical development and empirical investigation, JTR seeks to open the "black-box" of trust in various contexts.

JTR aims to publish relevant and rigorous research contributing to knowledge in six major domains that are interdisciplinary and cross-cultural:

Behavioral Medicine: Relating Behavior and Health is an interdisciplinary journal of research and practice that deals with psychosocial influences on heatlh and behavior. It publishes original research studies, both experimental and clinical; evaluation studies; review articles; case reports; and book reviews. In addition, the journal welcomes three-part, coordinated submissions on a theme topic that deals in depth with (1) a review of the literature on a health problem that can be treated through the use of psychological or behavioral intervention; (2) the evidence from research for the value of the behavioral intervention; (3) an analysis of the policy implications of the therapy and means of introducing it into mainstream training and health practice.
