Afrika Matematika is the Journal of the African Mathematical Union.Its publication started in 1978. It provides a platform both for presenting high-level mathematical research done in Africa, and for bringing international mathematical research to Africa. Since relaunch in 2010, Afrika Matematika's Editorial Board has been restructured and widened to include distinguished mathematicians from various African countries, and from the other continents. Afrika Matematika is open to research articles in all areas of mathematics and its applications, and to authors worldwide. Afrika Matematika also publishes commissioned survey articles on topics of broad current interest in the mathematical community, including more general topics such as history and philosophy of mathematics and mathematical education. Scrutiny and selection of articles is by the accepted standards of peer review, drawing on the competence of specialist referees worldwide. ATS CME Mission Statement*CME Purpose: The purpose of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) CME Program is to support the ATS mission of: decreasing morbidity and mortality from respiratory disorders on both national and international levels, providing a high quality CME program that addresses the professional practice gaps of our learners and by facilitating change in learner competence and performance. As stated in our motto, “We help the world breathe.”*Content Areas: The content of the ATS CME program focuses on research, clinical, and administrative aspects of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.*Target Audience: The target audience consists of researchers, clinicians, and other health professionals practicing in Pulmonary, Critical Care or Sleep Medicine. The ATS believes that optimal patient care is achieved through an interdisciplinary team approach.*Types of Activities: The ATS coordinates live courses, manuscript review, enduring materials (e g. internet, print), journal CME and activities separately and jointly-sponsored with our Thoracic Society Chapters and other national organizations with missions congruent with our own.*Expected Results: The ATS CME program is expected to lead to improvement in learner competence or performance. Results are measured with self-report and objective assessments.

The aim of Bio-Medical Materials and Engineering is to promote the welfare of humans and to help them keep healthy. This international journal is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes original research papers, review articles and brief notes on materials and engineering for biological and medical systems. Chem Soc Rev is the Royal Society of Chemistry's leading reviews journal. Church, Communication and Culture (CC&C) is published on an Open Access basis by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross’ School of Church Communications in partnership with Routledge, Taylor & Francis. Dedicated to deepening knowledge and understanding about the dialogue between religion, communication and culture in the public arena, and based on comprehensive data analysis and theoretical inquiry, CC&C offers an international forum where researchers and practitioners can advance quality communication research on the Catholic Church and other religious communities.

CC&C derives its name from the reality that the Catholic Church is not simply one monolithic institution, but a network of various institutions. While maintaining unity through their creed and overarching aims, they operate in a variety of ways on different levels. These particular institutions within the Catholic Church have a multitude of specific objectives to carry out in concrete societies, with diverse peoples. The activity of “The Catholic Church” translates, therefore, not to one communication, but a plethora of multifarious communications. Consequently, CC&C aims to apply critical thought to the communicative dimension of the Catholic Church’s activity to engage society and promote dialogue with cultures. Content thus reflects theoretical inquiry based on empirical research and intellectual debate, rather than technological development.

Cardiovascular imaging technologies now play an expanded role in clinical practice. Beyond the diagnosis of a disease process, these techniques are rapidly transitioning to help guide therapy. The journal aims to keep readers current with rapidly evolving advances in instrumentation and imaging procedures that support the expanded role of these technologies in clinical practice. The journal intends to place the entire area of cardiovascular imaging in its proper prospective by establishing the indications and limitations of each imaging technique and by summarizing recent clinical advances.

We accomplish this aim by appointing international authorities to serve as Section Editors in key subject areas across the field, including cardiac magnetic resonance, nuclear imaging, echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, intravascular, molecular, and hybrid imaging. Section Editors select topics for which leading experts contribute comprehensive review articles that emphasize new developments and recently published papers of major importance, highlighted by annotated reference lists.  An Editorial Board of internationally diverse members ensures that topics include emerging research and suggests topics of special interest to their country/region. We also provide commentaries from well-known figures in the field.

Desalination is the premier international journal dedicated to communicating the latest developments in desalination including theoretical and applied research, technological and industrial development, other osmotic processes and the experience of operators and users.Desalination welcomes submissions describing use of desalting technologies such as thermal, membrane, sorption and hybrid processes. In addition, the journal considers exceptional research on new desalination materials, processes and technologies; transport and process modeling; energy consumption, renewable energy and energy recovery; pre-treatment, post-treatment and integrated systems; causes, consequences, and countermeasures of fouling and scaling; and technical, economic, and regulatory analyses of full-scale plants.Desalination welcomes theoretical and experimental research as Full Text Papers, Short Communications, State-of-the-Art Reviews and Letters to Editors on all aspects of desalination described above. Prospective Review authors are requested to contact one of the Editors prior to submission. Short Communications should be concise and not exceed 4-6 printed pages but must include complete descriptions of any investigation of the research which must be cutting-edge and novel with knowledge that warrants speedy communication to the readership.

The journal is concerned with the use of mathematical models and systems analysis for the description of ecological processes and for the sustainable management of resources. Human activity and well-being are dependent on and integrated with the functioning of ecosystems and the services they provide. We aim to understand these basic ecosystem functions using mathematical and conceptual modelling, systems analysis, thermodynamics, computer simulations, and ecological theory. This leads to a preference for process-based models embedded in theory with explicit causative agents as opposed to strictly statistical or correlative descriptions. These modelling methods can be applied to a wide spectrum of issues ranging from basic ecology to human ecology to socio-ecological systems.
