The science of biomechanics helps explain the causes of musculoskeletal disorders and provides assistance to the clinician in the evaluation of treatment methods. Clinical Biomechanics aims to strengthen the link between clinic and laboratory by publishing biomechanics research which helps to explain the causes of musculoskeletal disorders and which provides knowledge contributing to improved clinical management.

A peer review system is employed and every attempt is made to process and publish papers promptly.

Clinical Biomechanics explores all facets of musculoskeletal biomechanics with an emphasis on clinical management. The role of basic, as well as medical, science is recognized in a clinical context. The readership of the journal closely reflects its contents, being a balance of scientists, engineers and clinicians.

The contents are in the form of research papers, brief reports, review papers and correspondence, whilst special interest issues and supplements are published from time to time.

Disciplines covered include orthopaedic and sports biomechanics, bioengineering, biophysics, ergonomics, kinetics, clinical science, physical therapeutics and rehabilitation.

The acceptance criterion for Collabra: Psychology is scientific, methodological, and ethical rigor. While Collabra: Psychology editors and reviewers do not attempt to predict a submission’s impact to the field, nor employ any topic bias in accepting articles, they will check for rigorously and transparently conducted, statistically sound, adequately powered, and fairly analyzed research worthy of inclusion in the scholarly record. This is a focus on more objective acceptance criteria and the bar is set high.

Communication Booknotes Quarterly is a review service for books, reports, documents, and electronic publications on all aspects of mass communication, telecommunication, and the information industry. This journal enjoys the talents of some two dozen members who make up an active board of contributors. These topical and regional authorities share the quarterly production of hundreds of descriptive reviews designed for an audience of librarians and researchers in the United States and overseas. Communication Reports (CR), published biannually since 1988, is one of two scholarly journals of the Western States Communication Association (WSCA). The journal publishes original manuscripts that are short, data/text-based, and related to the broadly defined field of human communication. Composites Science and Technology publishes refereed original articles on the fundamental and applied science of engineering composites. The primary focus of this journal is on polymeric matrix composites with reinforcements/fillers ranging from nano- to macro-scale. CSTE encourages manuscripts reporting unique, innovative contributions to the physics, chemistry, materials science and applied mechanics aspects of advanced composites.Besides traditional fiber reinforced composites, novel composites with significant potential for engineering applications are encouraged. These may include, but are not limited to, nanocomposites, biomedical composites, green/eco composites, energy composites, and composites mimicking natural materials. Manuscripts dealing with multi-scale and multi-functional issues and performance as well as interdisciplinary approaches to the study of new generation composite materials are welcome. Analytical work should be validated. Publication of manuscripts reporting routine processing, synthesis and property characterization are not a priority of CSTE.In order to expedite the handling of submissions, manuscripts will be given a preliminary review prior to the full reviewing process to evaluate their suitability for CSTE. Section Editors commission articles from leading scientists on each topic that they have selected and the commissioned authors write short review articles in which they present recent developments in their subject, emphasizing the aspects that, in their opinion, are most important. In addition, they provide short annotations to the papers that they consider to be most interesting from all those published in their topic over the previous year.

Discourse Processes is a multidisciplinary journal providing a forum for cross-fertilization of ideas from diverse disciplines sharing a common interest in discourse--prose comprehension and recall, dialogue analysis, text grammar construction, computer simulation of natural language, cross-cultural comparisons of communicative competence, or related topics. The problems posed by multisentence contexts and the methods required to investigate them, although not always unique to discourse, are sufficiently distinct so as to require an organized mode of scientific interaction made possible through the journal. The journal accepts original experimental or theoretical papers that substantially advance understanding of the structure and function of discourse. Scholars working in the discourse area from the perspective of sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse psychology, text linguistics, ethnomethodology and sociology of language, education, philosophy of language, computer science, and related subareas are invited to contribute. Ecology of Food and Nutrition is an international journal of food and nutrition in the broadest sense. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of food and nutrition -- ecological, biological, and cultural. Ecology of Food and Nutrition strives to become a forum for disseminating scholarly information on the holistic and cross-cultural dimensions of the study of food and nutrition. It emphasizes foods and food systems not only in terms of their utilization to satisfy human nutritional needs, but also to promote and contest social and cultural identity. The content scope is thus wide -- articles may focus on the relationship between food and nutrition, food taboos and preferences, ecology and political economy of food, food marketing and transportation, food and identity, agriculture and sustainability, ethnobotany, the evolution of human nutrition and food technology. The journal has three main sections. They are:

• Policy Debates and Controversies
  This section will contain highly policy relevant articles that are of general interest to economists. We will strive to obtain opposing views on current topics.
• Recent Trends in Economic Research
  This section will contain research articles from all fields of economics, similar to those published in other general interest economics journals, such as the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Economic Journal, or the Economic Record. These articles will not necessarily be easily accessible to non-academic economists. We expect authors to provide the main insights in a non-technical introduction and in the conclusions.
• Comments and Discussions of Past and Present Contributions to Economics
  This section has two aims. On the one hand it is a platform to critically discuss recent contributions to the economic literature. This section will contain contributions that revalidate econometric articles and/or discuss the importance of recent findings in economics. On the other hand, it will contain a critical appreciation of classic contributions to the economic literature. We will invite original authors as well as scholars that work in the field to review the importance of classic contributions to modern economics.

The primary goal of Experimental Eye Research is to publish original research papers on all aspects of experimental biology of the eye and ocular tissues that seek to define the mechanisms of normal function and/or disease. Studies of ocular tissues that encompass the disciplines of cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology or microbiology are most welcomed. Manuscripts that are purely clinical or in a surgical area of ophthalmology are not appropriate for submission to Experimental Eye Research and if received will be returned without review.Most manuscripts published are original articles describing new research findings. A survey article in IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials should provide a comprehensive review of developments in a selected area, covering its development from its inception to its current state and beyond, and illustrating its development through liberal citations from the literature. Both tutorials and surveys should be tutorial in nature and should be written in a style comprehensible to readers outside the specialty of the article.

International Journal of Africa Nursing Sciences (IJANS) is an international scientific journal published by Elsevier. The broad-based journal was founded on two key tenets, i.e. to publish the most exciting research with respect to the subjects of Nursing and Midwifery in Africa, and secondly, to advance the international understanding and development of nursing and midwifery in Africa, both as a profession and as an academic discipline.The fully refereed journal provides a forum for all aspects of nursing and midwifery sciences, especially new trends and advances. The Journal of College Student Psychotherapy is dedicated to exploring significant issues in the field of college student mental health. While contributions to the journal may come from college staff, faculty, or students or from professionals in other settings, the emphasis is on articles by and for college mental health professionals. For an article to be considered for publication, it must be directly relevant to the clinical specialty of college psychotherapy or counseling. The three main article categories are 1) Professional Issues and Practice, 2) Research and 3) Brief Reports. In addition, the Journal may feature 8220;Forum8221; discussions of selected topics, comments on key articles, letters to the editor and book reviews. The Journal is published quarterly, and is affiliated with the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors.
