The Journal of High Speed Networks is an international archival journal, active since 1992, providing a publication vehicle for covering a large number of topics of interest in the high performance networking and communication area. Its audience includes researchers, managers as well as network designers and operators. The main goal will be to provide timely dissemination of information and scientific knowledge. The journal will publish contributed papers on novel research, survey and position papers on topics of current interest, technical notes, and short communications to report progress on long-term projects. Submissions to the Journal will be refereed consistently with the review process of leading technical journals, based on originality, significance, quality, and clarity. Papers, written entirely in English, must contain original work not published or under revision elsewhere.

The journal topics covered include:

• surface and subsurface catchment hydrology;
• impacts of climatic and land use change on natural hydrologic processes and water resources;
• hydrologic process observations, modeling and prediction;
• innovative solution strategies for water management issues in transboundary basins and groundwater;
• economic hydrology;

• cultural and social water allocation;
• social impacts of water infrastructure.

Industrial textiles, including coated and laminated fabrics, are increasingly used in many consumer, industrial, architectural, medical and military applications. The Journal of Industrial Textiles is the only journal devoted exclusively to this technology and its applications.Each quarterly issue publishes research-based articles by specialists on new developments in industrial textile materials (fibres, fabrics, coatings), their properties and performance, processing (including coating, laminating, and finishing), applications, and markets.Reports also cover:· new developments in safety and environmental concerns· flammability and fire retardance· standards and regulations· test methods and results.Each issue also includes a Patents review section.Article authors are industrial textiles specialists from around the world, affiliated with university textile technology faculties, textile research organizations, and companies active in this field. .

International in scope and audience, the Journal of Insect Conservation publishes articles on the conservation of insects and related invertebrates. The papers presented touch on all aspects of conservation and biodiversity of insects and closely related groups such as Arachnids and Myriapods, including ecological work with conservation implications. Articles focus on both theoretical and practical topics, addressing the subject at the community, population and species level. Coverage includes aspects of behaviour, taxonomy and genetics, and ranges from local to global. Review articles are included, as well as points of view which are likely to stimulate debate. The journal is produced in association with Butterfly Conservation, a wildlife charity dedicated to the conservation of lepidoptera and their habitats which was closely involved in developing its concept. The Journal of Insect Science publishes papers in all aspects of the biology of insects and other arthropods from the molecular to the ecological. The Journal is published on the World Wide Web by the University of Wisconsin Libraries. Our guiding principle is that academic institutions should be involved in publishing scholarly work with as few impediments as possible to free access to information.The Journal of Insect Science is supported by the University of Wisconsin Libraries and is freely available to individuals and institutions. It provides an alternative to excessively priced commercial publications in insect biology. JIRD is an independent and internationally peer-reviewed journal in international relations and international political economy. Journal of Medical Genetics is a leading international publication covering original research in human genetics, including reviews of and opinion on the latest developments. Articles cover the genetic basis of human disease including germline cancer genetics, the clinical manifestations of genetic disorders, applications of molecular genetics to medical practice and the systematic evaluation of such applications. Each edition includes original articles, short reports, review articles, hypothesis articles, book reviews, online mutation reports and e-letters where readers are invited to comment on material published in the journal. The Journal of Molecular Histology publishes 6 times a year full-length original research papers, review articles, short communications and letters to the editors. Coverage includes studies describing novel cellular or ultrastructural distributions of molecules which provide insight into biochemical or physiological function, development, histological structure and disease processes. Among the techniques addressed are histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, receptor binding, autoradiography, image capture and processing, and reporter molecules as well as state-of-the-art visualization techniques. The Journal of Molecular Histology does not consider manuscripts dealing with the application of immunological or other probes on non-standard laboratory animal models unless the results are clearly of significant and general biological importance.

The Journal of Orthoptera Research (JOR) is the open access, peer-reviewed journal of the Orthopterists’ Society. JOR publishes work on the insect order Orthoptera and its allies, Blattodea, Mantodea, Phasmatodea, Grylloblattodea, Mantophasmatodea and Dermaptera. Its goal is the dissemination of ideas and insights arising from the study of these insects. Papers published cover a range of biological studies of these insects including their diversity, conservation, and the control and management of pest species. Acceptable studies fall within the disciplines of cytology, biological control, morphology, physiology, parasitology, endocrinology, behavior, ecology, systematics, biogeography and taxonomy. The journal encourages comprehensive and synthetic papers and those utilizing modern techniques. Case studies of interesting phenomena are also appropriate, as long as they are contextualized in terms of their significance to orthopterology and entomology in general. Alongside original research, JOR also publishes review articles, short communications, and articles focusing on policy and management of Orthoptera. Two issues are printed annually, and members of the Orthopterists’ Society publish free (excluding color signature fees for images to be printed in color).

This journal provides a vehicle for the rapid dissemination of original scientific work dealing with the reconstruction of lake histories. Although the majority of papers deal with lakes, it also publishes paleoenvironmental studies of river, wetland, peatland and estuary systems.
