The field of cellular and molecular bioengineering seeks to understand, so that we may ultimately control, the mechanical, chemical, and electrical processes of the cell.  A key challenge in improving human health is to understand how cellular behavior arises from molecular-level interactions.  CBME, an official journal of the Biomedical Engineering Society, publishes original research and review papers in the following seven general areas:

Molecular: DNA-protein/RNA-protein interactions, protein folding and function, protein-protein and receptor-ligand interactions, lipids, polysaccharides, molecular motors, and the biophysics of macromolecules that function as therapeutics or engineered matrices, for example.

Cellular: Studies of how cells sense physicochemical events surrounding and within cells, and how cells transduce these events into biological responses.  Specific cell processes of interest include cell growth, differentiation, migration, signal transduction, protein secretion and

Based in Basel, Switzerland, the multidisciplinary journal Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences (CMLS) publishes research articles, reviews, multi-author reviews and visions & reflections articles covering the latest aspects of biological and biomedical research. The journal will consider contributions focusing on biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biology, molecular and cellular aspects of biomedicine, neuroscience, pharmacology and immunology. Mycorrhiza is an international journal devoted to research into mycorrhizas - the widest symbioses in nature, involving plants and a range of soil fungi world-wide. The journal covers research into mycorrhizas, including molecular biology of the plants and fungi, fungal systematics, development and structure of mycorrhizas, and effects on plant physiology, productivity, reproduction and disease resistance. Natural Language & Linguistic Theory provides a forum for the discussion of theoretical research that pays close attention to natural language data, offering a channel of communication between researchers of a variety of points of view. The journal actively seeks to bridge the gap between descriptive work and work of a highly theoretical, less empirically oriented nature. In attempting to strike this balance, the journal presents work that makes complex language data accessible to those unfamiliar with the language area being studied and work that makes complex theoretical positions more accessible to those working outside the theoretical framework under review. NeuroRehabilitation is an international journal which emphasizes publication of scientifically based, practical information relevant to all aspects of neurologic rehabilitation. Manuscripts cover the full life span and range of neurological disabilities including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular disease, and other neurological disorders. Information is intended for an interdisciplinary audience.Issues of the journal are thematically organized. Themes have focused on specific clinical disorders, types of therapy, and age groups. Proposals for thematic issues and suggestions for issue editors are welcomed. NeuroRehabilitation also publishes original research and book reviews. Letters to the editor, commentaries, and editorials are also welcomed.Readers are encouraged to submit original research which includes experimental investigations or case reports. Reviews of rehabilitation literature will be published as well. Manuscripts are given blind, peer review, and authors are provided with timely, constructive feedback. Nuclear Physics B focuses on the domain of high energy physics, quantum field theory, and statistical systems, and includes four main sections: high energy physics - phenomenology, high energy physics - theory, high energy physics - experiment, and quantum field theory and statistical systems. Peacebuilding is a peer-reviewed international, comparative, multidisciplinary journal open to articles on contemporary and historical cases. It aims to provide in-depth analyses of the ideologies, philosophies, interests, and policies that underpin peacebuilding programmes and initiatives, and to connect with debates being held by policymakers, civil society personnel, scholars and students.

Peacebuilding is open to quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and particularly welcomes submissions that are prepared to challenge orthodox views and add new empirical insights into debates. It is interested in contributions from the 'subjects' of peacebuilding, as well as theoretical and methodological innovations (for example critical and ethnographic work, whether on or in post-conflict societies, or on donors and international actors).

The aim of the European Journal of Dental Education is to publish original, topical and review articles of the highest quality in the field of Dental Education. The Journal seeks to disseminate widely the latest information on curriculum development, teaching methodologies, assessment techniques and quality assurance in the fields of dental undergraduate and postgraduate education and dental auxiliary personnel training. The scope includes the dental educational aspects of the basic medical sciences, the behavioural sciences, the interface with medical education, information technology and distance learning and educational audit.
