The Journal of Clinical Ultrasound (JCU) is an international journal dedicated to the worldwide dissemination of scientific information on diagnostic and therapeutic applications of medical sonography. The scope of the journal includes--but is not limited to--the following areas: sonography of the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary tract, vascular system, nervous system, head and neck, chest, breast, musculoskeletal system, and other superficial structures; Doppler applications; obstetric and pediatric applications; and interventional sonography. Studies comparing sonography with other imaging modalities are encouraged, as are studies evaluating the economic impact of sonography. Also within the journal's scope are innovations and improvements in instrumentation and examination techniques and the use of contrast agents. JCU publishes original research articles, case reports, pictorial essays, technical notes, and letters to the editor. The journal is also dedicated to being an educational resource for its readers, through the publication of review articles and various scientific contributions from members of the editorial board and other world-renowned experts in sonography.

Journal of Coatings Technology and Research (JCTR) is a forum for the exchange of research, experience, knowledge and ideas among those with a professional interest in the science, technology and manufacture of functional, protective and decorative coatings including paints, inks and related coatings and their raw materials, and similar topics. JCTR offers Research papers, describing investigations of chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering studies relevant to surface coatings; Applications papers on experimental solutions for technological problems in the design, formulation, manufacture, application, use and performance of surface coatings; Review articles offering broad, critical overviews of advances in coatings science; and Brief Communications, presenting notes and letters on research topics of limited scope or immediate impact. Journal of Discrete Algorithms aimed to facilitate communication between researchers in theoretical computer science who were concerned with the design and analysis of discrete algorithms. The Journal of Discrete Algorithms welcomed original papers in all areas of finite and discrete algorithm design and analysis.

The purpose of this journal was to feature new algorithms and data structures, new analyses or comparisons of known algorithms, complexity studies and well-focused review articles of currently-active subject areas. Articles in other areas of theoretical computer science were also considered when there was a clear connection to computational issues.

The Journal of Discrete Algorithms has pledged to maintain high quality standards, an openness to all approaches to the subject, a transparent reviewing policy, and a minimal delay between submission and publication.

The Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B provides an outlet for original research reports on analytical techniques or improvements on existing methods applicable to residues of pesticides, veterinary drugs, food contaminants (natural and additive), and other chemical contaminants, and their metabolites in the ecosphere. The Journal of Experimental Psychology: General® publishes articles describing empirical work that bridges the traditional interests of two or more communities of psychology.The work may touch on issues dealt with in JEP: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, JEP: Human Perception and Performance, JEP: Animal Behavior Processes, or JEP: Applied, but may also concern issues in other subdisciplines of psychology, including social processes, developmental processes, psychopathology, neuroscience, or computational modeling.Articles in JEP: General may be longer than the usual journal publication if necessary.Brief reports will also be accepted (up to 3,000 words, excluding title, references, author affiliations, acknowledgments, figures and figure legends, but including the abstract). The Journal of Forecasting is an international journal that publishes refereed papers on forecasting. It is multidisciplinary, welcoming papers dealing with any aspect of forecasting: theoretical, practical, computational and methodological. A broad interpretation of the topic is taken with approaches from various subject areas, such as statistics, economics, psychology, systems engineering and social sciences, all encouraged. The Journal of Intellectual Disability Research is devoted exclusively to the scientific study of intellectual disability and publishes papers reporting original observations in this field. The subject matter is broad and includes, but is not restricted to, findings from biological, educational, genetic, medical, psychiatric, psychological and sociological studies, and ethical, philosophical, and legal contributions that increase knowledge on the treatment and prevention of intellectual disability and of associated impairments and disabilities, and/or inform public policy and practice. Expert reviews on themes in which recent research has produced notable advances will be included. Such reviews will normally be by invitation. Anyone expert in his/her particular field wishing to submit an uninvited review is advised to seek prior guidance from the Editor. This Journal is intended as a forum for new developments in knot theory, particularly developments that create connections between knot theory and other aspects of mathematics and natural science. The stance is interdisciplinary due to the nature of the subject.Knot theory as a pure mathematical discipline is subject to many forms of generalization (higher-dimensional knots, knots and links in other manifolds, non-spherical knots, recursive systems analogous to knotting). The Journal of Molluscan Studies accepts papers on all aspects of the study of molluscs. These include systematics, molecular biology, palaeontology, ecology, physiology and many other areas, as will be seen from a glance through recent Contents lists. Where the topic is some aspect of applied malacology (for example fisheries, parasitology, neurobiology, biochemistry, biomedical studies etc), papers will still be considered as long as the mollusc is the principal focus of the study, and not incidental or simply a convenient experimental animal. While systematic papers are encouraged, descriptions of single new taxa will only be considered if they include significant ‘added value’, for example in the form of new information on anatomy or distribution, or if they are presented in the context of a systematic revision or phylogenetic analysis of the group. Papers in the format of Research Notes are generally methodological notes, or brief reports that are of unusually wide interest or importance; these are published as rapidly as possible after acceptance. Review papers on topics of general interest are also accepted. .

Devoted to an examination of the civilizations of the Near East, the Journal of Near Eastern Studies has for 125 years published contributions from scholars of international reputation on the archaeology, art, history, languages, literatures, and religions of the Near East. Founded in 1884 as Hebraica, the journal was renamed twice over the course of the following century, each name change reflecting the growth and expansion of the fields covered by the publication. In 1895 it became the American Journal of Semitic Languages and Literatures, and in 1942 it received its present designation, the Journal of Near Eastern Studies. From an original emphasis on Old Testament studies in the nineteenth century, JNES has since broadened its scope to encompass all aspects of the vibrant and varied civilizations of the Near East, from ancient times to World War I. A substantial book review section in every issue provides a critical overview of new publications by both emerging and established scholars. The Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics serves as an international publication organ for new ideas, insights and results on non-equilibrium phenomena in science, engineering and related natural systems. The aim of the Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine is to publish manuscripts of high scientific quality representing original clinical, diagnostic or experimental work in oral pathology and oral medicine. Papers advancing the science or practice of these disciplines will be welcomed, especially those which bring new knowledge and observations from the application of techniques within the spheres of light and electron microscopy, tissue and organ culture, immunology, histochemistry and immunocytochemistry, microbiology, genetics and biochemistry.
