Each issue of Quality Management in Health Care (QMHC) includes an in-depth interview with a health care attorney, information on basic quality management tools and processes, and articles to encourage informal communication among those involved in the field of health care quality management. The journal publishes original research papers of high scientific level in the area of theoretical computer science and its applications. Theoretical computer science is understood in its broadest sense and comprises in particular the following areas: automata and formal languages, game theory, rewriting systems, design and analysis of algorithms, complexity theory, quantum computation, concurrent, distributed, parallel computations, verification of programs, “logic” and compilers, computational geometry and graphics on computers, cryptography, combinatorics on words.This list is not supposed to be exhaustive and the editorial board will promote new fields of research that will be worked out in the future.

The Journal of Chemical Physics publishes concise and definitive reports of significant research in methods and applications of chemical physics. Innovative research in traditional areas of chemical physics such as spectroscopy, kinetics, statistical mechanics, and quantum mechanics continue to be areas of interest to readers of JCP. In addition, newer areas such as polymers, materials, surfaces/interfaces, information theory, and systems of biological relevance are of increasing importance. Routine applications of chemical physics techniques may not be appropriate for JCP. Content is published online daily, collected into four monthly online and printed issues (48 issues per year); the journal is published by the American Institute of Physics.

Archives of Suicide Research, the official journal of the International Academy of Suicide Research (IASR), is the international journal in the field of suicidology. Continental Shelf Research publishes articles dealing with the physical oceanography, sedimentology, geology, chemistry, biology and ecology of the shallow marine environment, from coastal and estuarine water out to the shelf break. Papers that are published present results from both fundamental, original research as well as applied, or directed research.Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary process-oriented contributions, and encouragement is given to the publication of the results of innovative experimental studies with more general applicability.Continental Shelf Research publishes occasional review articles. It also includes a section on Notes, Instrumentation and Methods. ESR aims at providing the knowledge needed for practising human stewardship. Human stewardship is one of the noblest duties of humanity and one of the greatest challenges to science. And it is a primary prerequisite for long-term survival of our species, Homo sapiens.Effective stewardship can be achieved only if many people become actively involved, including people outside the scientific community. While insisting on scientific principles, ESR will help to motivate and inform individuals and groups who are prepared to participate in supporting endangered life.ESR is international and interdisciplinary. It covers all endangered forms of life on Earth, the threats faced by species and their habitats and the necessary steps that must be undertaken to ensure their conservation. ESR publishes high quality contributions reporting research on all species (and habitats) of conservation concern, whether they be classified as Near Threatened or Threatened (Endangered or Vulnerable) by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) or highlighted as part of national or regional conservation strategies. Submissions on all aspects of conservation science are welcome.We especially invite contributions that synthesise key areas. Suggestions for Theme Sections on emerging topics of importance are invited. All submitted manuscripts will be subject to a thorough review process involving at least three reviewers. The International Journal of Biodiversity Science, Ecosystem Services & Management (IJBESM) aims to improve our understanding of the role of biodiversity in providing ecosystem services and the associated management systems needed to maintain biodiversity and use ecosystem services in a sustainable mannerIJBESM focuses on the interaction between biodiversity at all levels (ecosystems, species, genes) and papers published in the Journal should address at least one of the following themes:(a) the link between biodiversity and ecosystem services; i.e. what is the role of biodiversity in providing ecosystem services ? (b) the link between ecosystem services and management; i.e. how can ecosystem services be (sustainably) managed and what are the trade-offs in service provision, and values, between different management states ?(c) the link between biodiversity and management; i.e. what is the influence of management alternatives on biodiversity conservation ?Articles may address these topics from different perspectives, including basic research, integrated assessment approaches (participatory or model-oriented) or policy-oriented. They may be inter-disciplinary or draw from more specialized fields such as biology, (landscape) ecology, genetics, land use and conservation science, and socio-cultural or economic studies.
