The Journal of Asian Natural Products Research (JANPR) publishes chemical and pharmaceutical studies in the English language in the field of natural product research on Asian ethnic medicine. Neurocase is a rapid response journal of both adult and child case studies in neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology. Four types of manuscript are considered for publication: single case investigations that bear directly on issues of relevance to theoretical issues or brain-behavior relationships; group studies of subjects with brain dysfunction that address issues relevant to the understanding of human cognition; reviews of important topics in the domains of neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology; and brief reports (up to 2500 words) that replicate previous reports dealing with issues of considerable significance. Statistics in Biopharmaceutical Research accepts papers that discuss appropriate statistical methodology and information regarding the use of statistics in all phases of research, development, and practice in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, device, and diagnostics industries. Articles should focus on the development of novel statistical methods, novel applications of current methods, or the innovative application of statistical principles that can be used by statistical practitioners in these disciplines. Areas of application may include statistical methods for drug discovery, including papers that address issues of multiplicity, sequential trials, adaptive designs, etc.; preclinical and clinical studies; genomics and proteomics; bioassay; biomarkers and surrogate markers; models and analyses of drug history, including pharmacoeconomics, product life cycle, detection of adverse events in clinical studies, and postmarketing risk assessment; regulatory guidelines, including issues of standardization of terminology (e.g., CDISC), tolerance and specification limits related to pharmaceutical practice, and novel methods of drug approval; and detection of adverse events in clinical and toxicological studies. Tutorial articles also are welcome. Articles should include demonstrable evidence of the usefulness of this methodology (presumably by means of an application).

Journal Refocus in 2011 - Accounting History ReviewAccounting History Review is an international forum for the publication of scholarly articles on the history of accounting in diverse periods and places. The expectation for published papers will be to translate fundamental knowledge about the neurobiology of the disease into practical reports that describe both the conceptual and methodological aspects of the submitted scientific inquiry. Published topics will explore the development of biomarkers, surrogate markers, and conceptual/methodological challenges. Publication priority will be given to papers that 1) describe putative surrogate markers that accurately track disease progression, 2) biomarkers that fulfill international regulatory requirements, 3) reports from large, well-characterized population-based cohorts that comprise the heterogeneity and diversity of asymptomatic individuals and 4) algorithmic development that considers multi-marker arrays (e.g., integrated-omics, genetics, biofluids, imaging, etc.) and advanced computational analytics and technologies.

Given the growing number of specialized manuscripts in the field of Alzheimer's and dementia research, DADM will provide an expanded platform to provide a) rapid communication and publication that facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas, b) integrating and translating knowledge across disciplines; disseminating basic and clinical information necessary for optimal translation of research into practical applications and interventions, c) increase knowledge in diverse areas of studies with potentials/implications for practical application related to early detection and/or interventions, d) formulating crucial experiments necessary for the rigorous testing of theories or their predictions, and e) identifying promising new directions of research and providing the impetus or the scientific foundation for new initiatives on interventions.

The mission of Alzheimer's & Dementia: Journal of the Alzheimer's Association is to bridge the knowledge gaps across a wide range of bench-to-bedside investigation. From its first volume in 1960, British Poultry Science has been a leading international journal for poultry scientists and advisers to the poultry industry throughout the world.Over 60% of the independently refereed papers published originate outside the UK. Clinical Therapeutics is dedicated to the dissemination of reliable and evolving evidence derived from clinical pharmacology and other therapeutic approaches to an international audience of scientists and clinicians working in a variety of research, academic, and clinical practice settings. Providing such information is especially important in this era of harmonization and globalization of drug development. Clinical Therapeutics strives to achieve its mission by providing peer-reviewed, rapid publication of recent developments in drug therapies, as well as in-depth review articles on specific agents, treatment strategies, and disease states. Computers in Biology and Medicine is a medium of international communication of the revolutionary advances being made in the application of the computer to the fields of bioscience and medicine. Contemporary South Asia seeks to address the issues of the region by presenting research and analysis which is both cross-regional and multi-disciplinary. Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences publishes review articles in all areas of clinical laboratory science (including clinical biochemistry, clinical hematology, clinical microbiology, pathology, transfusion medicine, genetics, and immunology). Our aim is to meet the needs of, and build a bridge between, two constituencies: to allow clinical scientists to broaden their primary knowledge base to include the vocabulary, concepts, and information from the various fields of medicine that they require to perform their work; and to allow laboratory physicians to keep pace with the rapid developments taking place in scientific disciplines that directly impact their daily activities. The editorial staff strive to ensure the inclusion of sufficient introductory background material in each article to allow a non-specialist reader to understand the text that follows.Reviews are generally solicited from international experts on the advice of members of the Editorial Advisory Board. However, other authors are encouraged to submit outlines of proposed reviews to the Editor-in-Chief for consideration, following which a formal invitation may be issued. Primary authors are encouraged to recruit collaborators to help in forging a representative consensus and comprehensive coverage of the selected topic. The adjective “Critical” implies a balanced synthesis of results and conclusions that are frequently contradictory and controversial. A single expert, whose name appears under the names of the authors, is assigned the task of refereeing the paper. This open process promotes a fairer review than may be the case when the identity of the referee is concealed by the mask of anonymity. Critical Studies in Education is one of the few international journals that is solely devoted to a critical sociology of education. Two questions frame the journal's critical approach to research: (1) whose interests are served by current social arrangements in education and, (2) from the standpoint of the least advantaged, what can be done about inequitable arrangements? Informed by this approach, articles published in the journal draw on post-structural, feminist, postcolonial and other critical orientations to critique education systems and to identify alternatives for education policy, practice and research. The journal welcomes submissions of the highest quality and importance, which make original theoretical and/or empirical contributions, and are aimed at moving the field forward. Submissions may be focused on education policy and/or practice (including pedagogy) across formal education contexts (e.g. schooling, vocational and further education, higher education) as well as informal settings (e.g. television, communities, the internet). Submissions typically focus on power relations associated with gender, class (/poverty), ethnicity and the reproduction of disadvantage. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees. Articles are published in English. Ensayos sobre Política Económica (ESPE) es una publicación periódica sobre economía, cuyo objetivo es difundir artículos de carácter técnico de alta calidad. El tipo de documentos que se busca publicar se caracteriza por ser original, interesante y técnicamente correcto; así, el Comité Editorial de ESPE considerará para publicación aquellos trabajos, tanto teóricos como aplicados, que sean de relevancia para el mejor entendimiento de los problemas económicos y de las políticas necesarias para su solución. Environmental Forensics provides a forum for scientific investigations that address environmental contamination which is subject to law court, arbitration, public debate, or formal argumentation and is subject to the basic science that serves as underpinnings to those activities. Journal subject matter encompasses all aspects of contamination within the environmental media of air, water, soil and biota. The journal is an international, quarterly, peer-reviewed publication offering scientific studies that explore source, fate, transport, and human health and ecological effects of environmental contamination. Contamination is delineated in terms of chemical characterization, biological influence, responsible parties and legal consequences. Manuscripts dealing with a wide range of environmental issues and how they relate to the characterization and tracking of contamination will be accepted.
