Tertiary Education and Management is the journal of The European Higher Education Society (EAIR).Tertiary Education and Management (TEAM) is an international peer-reviewed journal intended to create a better linkage of research, policy and practice in teaching and learning as well as in higher education management, governance and organisation. Being an interdisciplinary and international orientated journal, TEAM welcomes research contributions that reflect upon, study or question main developmental trends and practices, and address current and future challenges in higher education.Articles submitted should as a consequence be written for, understood by, and be relevant for a multicultural, multifaceted and international audience. TEAM is open for articles using a variety of approaches, methods and perspectives given that the articles demonstrate the relevance of the research in a broader context whether in other higher education institutions, in other national settings or in the international arena. Occasionally, TEAM also publishes articles where personal viewpoints/experiences or political arguments are made to stimulate discussion and reflection, or to challenge established thinking in the field of higher education. The journal aims to publish scholarly articles on economic, financial, technological and legal asymmetries within and among markets in an increasingly globalized world.Asymmetries are broadly interpreted as economic relationships between trading partners with unequal market power and also in the narrow technical sense of dissimilar information between trading agents.Asymmetries also may arise in cases of economic, financial or currency crises. The wide range of dissimilar policy recommendations in such cases may also reflect asymmetric policy responses.Closely related to international economic asymmetries, one may find economic, legal and technological conditions differing from one economy to another because of the size of countries, their institutions and their history. Acknowledging and investigating such differences is also a concern of the journal.The recent global financial crisis has created numerous economic asymmetries. Topics of interest include: sovereign debt, banking fragility, corporate deleveraging, asymmetries in macro-prudential regulation between countries with high and low developed financial markets, persistent high unemployment, challenges in the conduct of appropriate monetary and fiscal policies, national versus supranational regulatory systems, consequences of the Euro-zone financial crisis, the future of the euro, global monetary and fiscal stability, strategies to stop the immense increases in fiscal deficits and to regain fiscal stability, regulatory systems limiting world-wide contagion effects, regulatory measures to increase the soundness of the banks' balance sheets and to supervise financial transactions between globalised banks, multiple equilibria in financial markets, wealth volatility, the behavior of commodity markets and changes in leading currency markets. Disability and Health Journal is a scientific, scholarly, and multidisciplinary journal for reporting original contributions that advance knowledge in disability and health. Topics may be related to global health, quality of life, and specific health conditions as they relate to disability. Such contributions include:• Reports of empirical research on the characteristics of persons with disabilities, environment, health outcomes, and determinants of health• Reports of empirical research on the Systematic or other evidence-based reviews and tightly conceived theoretical interpretations of research literature• Reports of empirical research on the Evaluative research on new interventions, technologies, and programs• Reports of empirical research on the Reports on issues or policies affecting the health and/or quality of life for persons with disabilities, using a scientific base.Disability and Health Journal describes and analyzes health and health related states using conceptual frameworks, including the international classification of functioning, disability and health. The Journal provides a forum for peer reviewed articles that identify, evaluate and promote existing and emerging models of healthcare delivery and/or health promotion which contribute to the improvements of health across the lifespan.The Journal focuses on individual health, public health, rehabilitation, health promotion, and community participation (e.g. employment, recreation, personal relationships and access to services).

As the incidence of drugs escalates in 21st century living, their detection and analysis have become increasingly important. Sport, the workplace, crime investigation, homeland security, the pharmaceutical industry and the environment are just some of the high profile arenas in which analytical testing has provided an important investigative tool for uncovering the presence of extraneous substances. In addition to the usual publishing fare of primary research articles, case reports and letters, Drug Testing and Analysis offers a unique combination of; 'How to' material such as 'Tutorials' and 'Reviews', Speculative pieces ('Commentaries' and 'Perspectives', providing a broader scientific and social context to the aspects of analytical testing), 'Annual banned substance reviews' (delivering a critical evaluation of the methods used in the characterization of established and newly outlawed compounds). Rather than focus on the application of a single technique, Drug Testing and Analysis employs a unique multidisciplinary approach to the field of controversial compound determination. Papers discussing chromatography, mass spectrometry, immunological approaches, 1D/2D gel electrophoresis, to name just a few select methods, are welcomed where their application is related to any of the six key topics listed below. Epidemics publishes papers on infectious disease dynamics in the broadest sense. Its scope covers both within-host dynamics of infectious agents and dynamics at the population level, particularly the interaction between the two. Areas of emphasis include: spread, transmission, persistence, implications and population dynamics of infectious diseases; population and public health as well as policy aspects of control and prevention; dynamics at the individual level; interaction with the environment, ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, as well as population genetics of infectious agents.The journal will only publish papers that use high quality novel or published data in their analysis. Fluctuation and Noise Letters (FNL) is unique. It is the only specialist journal for fluctuations and noise, and it covers that topic throughout the whole of science in a completely interdisciplinary way. As of January 2000, Developmental Genetics was renamed and relaunched as genesis: The Journal of Genetics and Development, with a new scope and Editorial Board. The journal focuses on work that addresses the genetics of development and the fundamental mechanisms of embryological processes in animals and plants. With increased awareness of the interplay between genetics and evolutionary change, particularly during developmental processes, we encourage submission of manuscripts from all ecological niches. The expanded numbers of genomes for which sequencing is being completed will facilitate genetic and genomic examination of developmental issues, even if the model system does not fit the “classical genetic” mold. Geoarchaeology is an interdisciplinary journal published six times per year (in January, March, May, July, September and November). It presents the results of original research at the methodological and theoretical interface between archaeology and the geosciences and includes within its scope: interdisciplinary work focusing on understanding archaeological sites, their environmental context, and particularly site formation processes and how the analysis of sedimentary records can enhance our understanding of human activity in Quaternary environments. Manuscripts should examine the interrelationship between archaeology and the various disciplines within Quaternary science and the Earth Sciences more generally, including, for example: geology, geography, geomorphology, pedology, climatology, oceanography, geochemistry, geochronology, and geophysics. We also welcome papers that deal with the biological record of past human activity through the analysis of faunal and botanical remains and palaeoecological reconstructions that shed light on past human-environment interactions. The field of geobiology explores the relationship between life and the Earth's physical and chemical environment. Geobiology, launched in 2003, aims to provide a natural home for geobiological research, allowing the cross-fertilization of critical ideas, and promoting cooperation and advancement in this emerging field.
