Climate Risk Management publishes original scientific contributions, state-of-the-art reviews and reports of practical experience on all aspects of the production and use of climate and climate-related information in decision and policy making from the near- to long-term.

Therefore, the scope of the journal covers:

• Historical, current, and future climate conditions across multiple space and time scales;
• Risk assessment and risk management approaches for climate-sensitive sectors such as agriculture, forestry and fire management, health, mining, natural resources management, water management, the built environment, and tourism; and
• Analysis of relevant institutional developments and arrangements

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• The application of seasonal forecasting and regional climate change projections;
• Capacity building;
• Infrastructure design;
• Management and systematic reduction of climate-induced hazards and disasters;
• Protection of lives, livelihoods and property;
• Mitigation of environmental damage;
• Sustainable resource use and production;
• Impacts, vulnerability and adaptation at individual, community and institutional levels;
• Regulatory risks associated with climate change; and
• Climate-sensitive interactions between economic, environmental and social systems

Research papers should consider the practical application of the thesis advanced through case studies, experiments, or systematic comparisons with existing approaches. Special issues devoted to topics of particular interest will be published on an occasional basis, and proposals for such issues are invited. Submission of multi- and interdisciplinary studies, particularly those involving economics and the social sciences, is encouraged.

Quality - does the work suffer from obvious quality problems, problems in method (e.g. insufficient sample size) or writing style etc.We try to be flexible with novel papers on air pollution issues even if they don't have atmospheric measurements (e.g. wind tunnel studies, dynamometer studies, remote sensing retrieval etc). However, we are still cautious of purely mathematical derivations, preliminary results or case studies, making sure that these represent substantial contributions to the science of Air Pollution before sending them for review. Environmental Archaeology: The Journal of Human Palaeoecology aims to publish contributions on all aspects of environmental archaeology, from methodology to synthesis and theory. Environmental Archaeology is an international peer-reviewed periodical which welcomes contributions that consider the interaction between humans and their environment in the archaeological and historical past. This broad scope embraces papers covering a range of environmental specialisms within archaeology, such as archaeobotany, archaeozoology (both vertebrate and invertebrate), palynology, geoarchaeology, biological anthropology, as well as more synthetic and theoretical approaches to the past human environment.
