The Southern Communication Journal (SCJ) is the nationally and internationally read scholarly publication of the Southern States Communication Association (SSCA). SCJ publishes original scholarship that makes significant contributions to understanding human communication. The journal is not limited with regard to topic, context, methodology, or theoretical perspective on communication, yet articles published must establish the importance of the topic, soundness of the methodology, and the appropriateness of the theoretical perspective. SCJ publishes manuscripts and book reviews that will be of interest to scholars, researchers, teachers, and practitioners across the communication field. The International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery provides a cross-disciplinary platform for presenting the latest developments in robotics and computer assisted technologies for medical applications. The journal publishes cutting-edge papers and expert reviews, complemented by commentaries, correspondence and conference highlights that stimulate discussion and exchange of ideas. Areas of interest include robotic surgery aids and systems, operative planning tools, medical imaging and visualisation, simulation and navigation, virtual reality, intuitive command and control systems, haptics and sensor technologies. The purpose of this journal is to promote the integration of theories, methods, and research in human physiology. The journal publishes original studies on brain function and its disturbances, including neural mechanisms subserving perception, learning, memory, emotion, and language. Human Physiology provides a forum for many physiological areas, such as respiration, circulation, the blood system, motor functions, and digestion, as well as sport and occupational physiology. All kinds of papers on environmental physiology, including adaptation to extreme (polar zone, desert) and new (space) external conditions, are encouraged. Each year, from one to three numbers of the journal are dedicated to the broad consideration of a selected problem (e.g., mechanisms of adaptation to natural factors or development of the brain functions of children). The Editorial Board is highly interested in the cooperation of scientists from all countries and accepts manuscripts submitted in English.

Human Studies is a quarterly journal dedicated primarily to advancing the dialogue between philosophy and the human sciences. Coverage addresses the logic of inquiry, methodology, epistemology and foundational issues in the human sciences exemplified by original empirical, theoretical and philosophical investigations. Phenomenological perspectives, broadly defined, are a primary focus. The journal benefits scholars in a variety of fields who seek a forum addressing these issues, in order to bridge the gap between philosophy and the human sciences. The wide-ranging coverage includes contributions from sociology, psychology, anthropology, history, geography, linguistics, semiotics, communication studies, ethnomethodology, political science, and philosophy. The IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory (JSAIT) publishes high quality technical papers on all aspects of Information Theory. It is a multi-disciplinary journal of special issues (SIs) focusing on the intersections of information theory with fields such as machine learning, statistics, genomics, neuroscience, theoretical computer science, and physics. Many fields lean heavily on the fundamentals of information theory, including concepts such as information entropy, compression, coding and decoding, mutual information, divergence, capacity, and rate distortion theory. There will also be special issues for hot topics firmly within information theory, such as new types of codes, short-packet communication, advances in multi-terminal information theory, quantum information theory, information theoretic security, and other emerging topics.

Articles must be authentic, educational, clinically relevant, and original in their content and scientific approach.

The journal is devoted to all aspects of the mobility, reaction chemistry, and behavior of ions in a supporting gaseous atmosphere and in an electrical field. Articles span a broad range of research and arenas, e.g. laboratory studies of biomolecules at comparatively low pressure, instrumentation for field and process monitoring, and measurements of samples with relevance to industry, the environment, medicine, and security. The International Journal of Clinical Oncology (IJCO) welcomes original research papers on all aspects of clinical oncology that report the results of novel and timely investigations. Reports on clinical trials are encouraged. Experimental studies will also be accepted if they have obvious relevance to clinical oncology. Membership in the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology is not a prerequisite for submission to the journal. Papers are received on the understanding that: their contents have not been published in whole or in part elsewhere; that they are subject to peer review by at least two referees and the Editors, and to editorial revision of the language and contents; and that the Editors are responsible for their acceptance, rejection, and order of publication.

Comparative Sociology is an international scholarly journal, published in six issues per year, dedicated to advancing comparative sociological analyses of societies and cultures, institutions and organizations, groups and collectivities, networks and interactions. All submissions for articles are peer-reviewed double-blind. The journal publishes book reviews and theoretical presentations, conceptual analyses and empirical findings at all levels of comparative sociological analysis, from global and cultural to ethnographic and interactionist. Submissions are welcome not only from sociologists but also political scientists, legal scholars, economists, anthropologists and others. Indeed, the journal is particularly keen to receive works of comparative political sociology, comparative legal sociology, comparative economic sociology and comparative cultural sociology.

Effective with the 2011 volume, this journal will be published in an online-only format. Complexity is a bi-monthly, cross-disciplinary journal focusing on the rapidly expanding science of complex adaptive systems. The purpose of the journal is to advance the science of complexity. Articles may deal with such methodological themes as chaos, genetic algorithms, cellular automata, neural networks, and evolutionary game theory. Papers treating applications in any area of natural science or human endeavor are welcome, and especially encouraged are papers integrating conceptual themes and applications that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. Complexity is not meant to serve as a forum for speculation and vague analogies between words like 'chaos,' 'self-organization,' and 'emergence' that are often used in completely different ways in science and in daily life.

Contributions to Indian Sociology (CIS) is a peer-reviewed journal which has encouraged and fostered cutting-edge scholarship on South Asian societies and cultures over the last fifty years. Its regular features include research articles, a discussion section on the sociology of India, short comments, and book reviews. The journal also publishes special issues to highlight new and significant themes in the discipline.CIS invites articles on all countries of South Asia, the South Asian diaspora as well as on comparative studies related to the region.
