The Journal of Supercomputing pubishes papers on the technology, architecture and systems, algorithms, languages and programs, performance measures and methods, and applications of all aspects of Supercomputing. Tutorial and survey papers are intended for workers and students in the fields associated with and employing advanced computer systems. The journal also publishes letters to the editor, especially in areas relating to policy, succinct statements of paradoxes, intuitively puzzling results, partial results and real needs.Published theoretical and practical papers are advanced, in-depth treatments describing new developments and new ideas. Each includes an introduction summarizing prior, directly pertinent work that is useful for the reader to understand, in order to appreciate the advances being described.

A refereed publication, The Modern Language Journal is dedicated to promoting scholarly exchange among teachers and researchers of all modern foreign languages and English as a second language. MLJ publishes documented essays, quantitative and qualitative research studies, response articles, and editorials that challenge paradigms of language learning and teaching. The Modern Language Journal offers 6 or 7 essays or research studies per issue, a professional calendar of events and news, a listing of relevant articles in other journals, an annual survey of doctoral degrees in all areas concerning foreign and second languages, and reviews of scholarly books, textbooks, videotapes, and software. The Serials Librarian is an international journal covering all aspects of the management of serials and other continuing resources in any format8212;print, electronic, etc.8212;ranging from their publication, to their abstracting and indexing by commercial services, and their collection and processing by libraries. The journal provides a forum for discussion and innovation for all those involved in the serials information chain, but especially for librarians and other library staff, be they in a single (continuing resources) department or in collection development, acquisitions, cataloging/metadata, or information technology departments. The Southern Journal of Philosophy has long provided a forum for the expression of philosophical ideas written from all philosophical perspectives, including both the analytic and continental traditions, as well as the history of philosophy. This commitment to philosophical pluralism is reflected in the long list of notable figures whose work has appeared in the journal, including Hans-Georg Gadamer, Hubert Dreyfus, George Santayana, Wilfrid Sellars, and Richard Sorabji. The jewel of each volume is the Spindel Supplement, which features the invited papers and commentaries presented at the annual Spindel Conference. Published on behalf of the VLDB Endowment, this journal contains scholarly contributions that examine information system architectures, the impact of technological advancements on information systems, and the development of novel database applications. The VLDB Journal also publishes a number of special issues in addition to the regular ones. One issue of each volume (usually the third) is devoted to selected papers from the previous year's VLDB Conference. Transfusion Medicine publishes articles on transfusion medicine in its widest context, including blood transfusion practice (blood procurement, pharmaceutical, clinical, scientific, computing and documentary aspects), immunohaematology, immunogenetics, histocompatibility, medico-legal applications, and related molecular biology and biotechnology. In addition to original articles, which may include brief communications and case reports, the journal contains a regular educational section (based on invited reviews and state-of-the-art reports), technical section (including quality assurance and current practice guidelines), leading articles, letters to the editor, occasional historical articles and signed book reviews. Science Partner Journal Ultrafast Science is an online-only Open Access journal published in affiliation with Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM) of CAS and distributed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The mission of Ultrafast Science is to build a platform for ultrafast scientific research; present new theories, concepts, ideas, technologies and progress in this field; publish the latest research representing the forefront of the discipline and that of international concern; and promote academic exchange and development worldwide. The journal publishes content which features high novelty, significance and technical quality in cutting-edge and emerging topics in ultrafast science with broad interest from scientific communities. The scope of Ultrafast Science includes such topics as: attosecond light source, attosecond physics, ultrafast laser and application, ultrafast imaging, ultrafast spectroscopy, ultrafast diagnosis, ultrafast materials and detector, ultrafast terahertz photonics, ultrafast electronics, ultrafast chemical physics and other ultrafast phenomena.

Vegetation Classification and Survey (VCS) is an international, peer-reviewed, online journal on plant community ecology published on behalf of the International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS) together with its sister journals, Journal of Vegetation Science (JVS) and Applied Vegetation Science (AVS). It is devoted to vegetation survey and classification at any organizational and spatial scale and without restriction to certain methodological approaches.

The journal publishes original papers that develop new vegetation typologies as well as applied studies that use such typologies, for example, in vegetation mapping, ecosystem modelling, nature conservation, land use management or monitoring. Particularly encouraged are methodological studies that design and compare tools for vegetation classification and mapping, such as algorithms, databases and nomenclatural principles. Papers dealing with conceptual and theoretical bases of vegetation survey and classification are also welcome. While large-scale studies are preferred, regional studies will be considered when filling important knowledge gaps or presenting new methods. VCS also contains permanent sections on "Ecoinformatics" and "Phytosociological Nomenclature".
