The scope of the Chinese Journal of Catalysis includes:

• New trends in heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis in relation to energy, environment, petroleum chemicals and fine chemicals;
• Scientific bases for the preparation and activation of catalysts of commercial interest or that are representative models;
• Scientific methods for the characterization of heterogeneous catalysts, especially methods for in situ characterization;
• New heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic reactions of potential practical interest in environment, energy, and fine chemicals applications;
• Relationship between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis;
• Theoretical studies on the structure and reactivity of catalysts.

The journal also accepts contributions dealing with other issues related to catalysis, such as photo-catalysis, bio-catalysis, surface science and chemical kinetics.

Awarded and highly cited
The journal was awarded the First Class Prize for Excellent Periodicals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001 and the Second Class Prize in the National Journal Awards in 2005. In recent years, the journal has consistently been ranked in the top ten Chinese chemical journals as measured by the impact factor and total citations.

The Microchemical Journal is a peer reviewed journal devoted to all aspects and phases of analytical chemistry and chemical analysis. The Microchemical Journal publishes articles which are at the forefront of modern analytical chemistry and cover innovations in the techniques to the finest possible limits. This includes fundamental aspects, instrumentation, new developments, innovative and novel methods and applications including environmental and clinical field.Traditional classical analytical methods such as spectrophotometry and titrimetry as well as established instrumentation methods such as flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, gas chromatography, and modified glassy or carbon electrode electrochemical methods will be considered, provided they show significant improvements and novelty compared to the established methods.The journal does not consider routine analytical method development in such areas as pharmaceutical samples, chromatography, minor incremental changes such as sample preparation and pre-concentration for electrochemical, chromatography and spectrochemical methods. Methods considered will not be waters or situations where the methods cannot determine the molecules or metals of interest in real samples and depends on spikes, or simply using standard chemometric methods. Fragmentation of work is strongly discouraged.The journal was established in the late 1950's as a journal devoted to the rapidly developing field of microchemistry. As the area of microchemistry has evolved into analyses in microgram masses and microvolumes (and lower), lower detection limits, and more sophisticated and compact instrumentation, the Microchemical Journal has continued to evolve and change with this growing and expanding area, covering now analytical chemical research in its broadest sense. The journal has published numerous special issues devoted to topics and well as selected conferences. The journal also considers original reviews.

The Scandinavian Journal of Pain, the scientific journal of the researcher-network Scandinavian Association for the Study of Pain (www.SASP.org), is a comprehensive forum for original research from international researchers, on all aspects of pain including the nature of pain, pain mechanisms, and pain management. In order to bring pain-researchers and pain-clinicians up-to-date on important issues, the journal also encourages submissions of topical reviews.Scandinavian Journal of Pain provides a broad and stimulating approach to new pain-related research by also commissioning editorial comments published together with all accepted papers. The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine focuses on human biology and disease, as well as animal studies that contribute to the understanding of pathophysiology and treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory system and critically ill patients. Papers that are solely or predominantly based in cell and molecular biology are published in the companion journal, the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. The Journal also seeks to publish outstanding review articles on areas of interest in several forms. The State-of-the-Art review is a treatise usually covering a broad field that brings bench research to the bedside. Shorter reviews are published as Clinical Commentaries or Pulmonary Perspectives. These are generally focused in a more limited area and advance a concerted opinion about care for a specific process. Case Reports of exceptional merit are also published in the Journal.A recent trend and future direction of the journal has been to include debates of a topical nature on issues of importance in pulmonary and critical care medicine and to the membership of the American Thoracic Society. Other recent changes have included encompassing works from the field of critical care medicine and the extension of the editorial governing of journal policy to colleagues outside of the United States of America. The Asia-Pacific Journal of Health, Sport and Physical Education is the Journal of the by the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). The Journal has a particular focus on social science research-based articles (approximately 7000 words) that make reference to other critical work in the field and/or discuss particular issues of practice-focused research within the specific professional fields of health, sport and physical education. Editorial will privilege those articles that explore and provide a depth of understanding of the complex inter-relationship between developing/improving practice through the production of knowledge. The Journal will focus on the forms, contents and contexts of health education, sport and physical education as they relate to schools, universities and other forms of educational provision. While the Journal will give primacy to articles from, or focused on, the Asia-Pacific region, manuscripts from beyond this region are welcome - providing they have relevance to the readership.

The Asia-Pacific Journal of Health, Sport and Physical Education encourages submissions from social science researchers, academics and other commentators seeking to make contributions to the educational development of health, sport and physical education.

All manuscripts are read by the Editor and by two expert peer reviewers through a blind review process.
