The Ars mission is: (1) To qualify Brazilian cultural and artistic production in general; (2) To provide a privileged arena for the debate and exchange of knowledge, to both beginners and distinguished artists, art teachers and researchers, working in Brazil or abroad; (3) To bring about a locus of mutual criticism and strenghtening for both the academic and the artistic and cultural milieu, thus stimulating the University towards an assertive role in Brazilian society; (4) To pursue the level of academic excellence in the artistic, cultural and cientific areas of research; (5) To stimulate the dialogue between the visual arts and other cultural and scientific areas and (6). To build a public interested in the specific areas of art and culture, a task still to be consolidated in the Brazilian context.

Artificial Intelligence Review publishes state-of-the-art research reports and critical evaluations of applications, techniques and algorithms in artificial intelligence, cognitive science and related disciplines. It serves as a forum for the work of researchers and application developers from these fields. Artificial Intelligence Review also presents refereed survey and tutorial articles, as well as reviews and commentary on significant developments.

Limnology and Oceanography Letters (L&O Letters)  is a platform for communication of the most innovative and trend-setting research in the aquatic sciences. Manuscripts should present high impact, cutting-edge results, discoveries or conceptual developments in any area of limnology and oceanography or its integration. Manuscripts will be selected based on their broad interest to the field, the strength of their empirical and conceptual foundations; their insightful, succinct and elegant conclusions; and their potential to advance knowledge in the aquatic sciences. Submissions must be short-format articles that are concise, highly focused analyses, with few display items.

The aim of Marine Geodesy is to stimulate progress in ocean surveys, mapping, and remote sensing by promoting problem-oriented research in the marine and coastal environment. Topics cover topography and mapping, satellite altimetry, bathymetry, positioning, precise navigation, boundary demarcation and determination, tsunamis, plate/tectonics, geoid determination, acoustics and space instrumentation, ground truth, system calibration and validation, and geographic information systems. The goal of Clinical EEG and Neuroscience is to convey clinically relevant research and development in electroencephalography and neuroscience. Original articles on any aspect of clinical EEG or related work in allied fields are invited for publication. Views expressed in articles, editorials, and letters represent the opinions of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the official policy of the institution with which the author is affiliated, or the EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS).

Computational Linguistics is the premiere publication devoted exclusively to the design and analysis of natural language processing systems. From this unique open access quarterly, university and industry linguists, computational linguists, artificial intelligence (AI) investigators, cognitive scientists, speech specialists, and philosophers get information about computational aspects of research on language, linguistics, and the psychology of language processing and performance.

Inflammation presents the latest international advances in experimental and clinical research on the physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, and pharmacology of inflammation. Published items include full-length scientific reports, short definitive articles, and papers from meetings and symposia proceedings. The journal's coverage extends to acute and chronic inflammation; mediators of inflammation; mechanisms of tissue injury and cytotoxicity; pharmacology of inflammation; and clinical studies of inflammation and its modification.

Memoirs is a series devoted to the publication of research in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. Manuscripts accepted for publication are similar in nature to those published in Transactions of the American Mathematical Society and meet the same editorial requirements. To be accepted by the editorial board, manuscripts must be correct, new, and significant. Further, they must be well written and of interest to a substantial number of mathematicians. Each issue contains either a single monograph or a group of related papers. A subscription consists of six mailings, each typically containing four or more numbers. Electronic and print formats.

Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220) provides an advanced forum for the science and technology of sensors and biosensors. It publishes reviews (including comprehensive reviews on the complete sensors products), regular research papers and short notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Strabismus publishes articles on all areas of the field including esotropia, exotropia, hypertropia, and Duane's Syndrome. The quarterly publication also discusses related disorders including amblyopia, infant visual development, binocular vision, stereopsis, suppression, amblyopia-related disorders of refraction, visual stimulus deprivation, and anisometropia. It aims to bridge the gap between neuroscientists and ophthalmologists and orthoptists treating strabismus and amblyopia patients. Strabismus includes the following sections: editorials, original papers, research reports, reviews, symposium proceedings, letters to the editor and selected abstracts.

Textile brings together research in textile studies in an innovative and distinctive academic forum for all those who share a multifaceted view of textiles within an expanded field. Peer-reviewed and in full-color throughout, it represents a dynamic and wide-ranging set of critical practices, it provides a platform for points of departure between art and craft; gender and identity; cloth, body and architecture; labour and technology; techno-design and practice - all situated within the broader contexts of material and visual culture.

Statement of Scope TOCS is devoted to publishing original research from all areas of theoretical computer science, ranging from foundational areas such as computational complexity, to fundamental areas such as algorithms and data structures, to focused areas such as parallel and distributed algorithms and architectures. Therapeutic Advances in Chronic Disease covers the drug treatment of all major chronic diseases (excluding cancer). It publishes guidance on which drugs to use and when (i.e. expert opinion reviews, narrative reviews, analysis of published guidelines editorials or reviews). Single-drug reviews and drug class reviews are also published. Original research manuscripts of well-designed trials are also welcomed that show drug or drug class efficacy in a particular disease.

Therapeutic Advances in Neurological Disorders is aimed at clinicians and researchers in neurology and is a forum for presenting the latest research and reviews in this discipline, concentrating on the more-common non-cerebrovascular neurological disorders. Topics covered include: neuroimmunology; movement and neurodegenerative disorders; pain and headache; behavioral cognitive syndromes; infections and neoplasms; demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis; disorders and injuries to the brain and spinal cord; epilepsy/seizure disorders.
