International Journal of Mechanical Sciences

ISSN: 0020-7403eISSN: 1879-2162

The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (IJMS) is an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to greater scientific understanding of the main disciplines underpinning the mechanical, civil and material engineering sciences.Original contributions providing insight into the use of analytical, computational (e.g. FEM, BEM, mesh-free methods and others) modelling methods for rigid-body mechanics (e.g. dynamics, vibration, stability), structural mechanics, metal forming, behaviour and application of advanced materials (metals, composite, cellular, smart etc.), impact mechanics, strain localization and other effects of nonlinearity (e.g. large deflections, plasticity, fracture etc.), fluid mechanics (external and internal flows), tribology, thermodynamics and materials processing generally form the core of the journal contents. The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences does not accept for publication material which quite specifically belongs with other established specialist journals. Papers whose concern is primarily with mathematical or computational techniques, developed within a general framework and not aimed at any specific engineering application, are not requested. Similarly, papers whose content is purely descriptive or empirical and which do not make any scientific contribution, will not be considered. Comparison with experiments/tests conducted by the authors or others to validate the main contribution of the paper are strongly encouraged, however design-based studies, based on established formulae and methods, are outside our scope and should not be submitted to the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences.Only original, innovative and novel papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences and before considering their work, authors are required to confirm that their paper has not been submitted to any other journal in English or any other language. Occasionally, 'Letters to the Editor' are considered.

Journal of Neuroradiology

ISSN: 0150-9861eISSN: 1773-0406

The Journal of Neuroradiology is well established among other journals in the fields of neuroradiology, radiology and clinical neurosciences that provide precise and rigorous information on diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. Indeed, the Journal offers an opportunity to submit original articles, reviews, technical notes and letters to the editors (correspondence section) in English language provided that the methodology and scientific content are of good quality, and that the results will have substantial clinical impact and/or physiological importance. Over the past three years, the impact factor of the Journal has been consistently above 1.000 (1.203 in 2010). The new Editorial Board will continue working to increase the impact of the Journal in the field of neuroradiology and, more generally, the clinical neurosciences. To further increase the Journal's impact and to make its full content even more widely accessible, the decision was taken to exclusively accept peer-reviewed papers in English from now on (see guide to authors). Considering English as the official language of the Journal of Neuroradiology means that contributions in the area of neuroradiology will be easily accessible to all neuroradiologists around the world. Another change is that case reports will no longer be accepted for publication from May 1st, 2012. However, as they may have an influence on our everyday clinical practices, a place will be provided for technical notes reporting on, for example, the improvement of currently used imaging sequences or new MR sequences, or novel approaches in the field of interventional neuroradiology. Nevertheless, to remain a major forum for the most up-to-date insights in the area of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, the Editorial team of the Journal of Neuroradiology invites you to submit on this website your high-quality and informative papers in order to make an important contribution to improve our clinical practice, and to communicate on novel concepts, methods and approaches.

The Electricity Journal

ISSN: 1040-6190eISSN: 1873-6874

The Electricity Journal is the leading policy journal for the U.S. electric power industry. The Journal began publishing in July 1988. It was created because its founding editor and publisher, Robert Marritz, then a utility lawyer in private practice, was convinced that the electricity industry was moving on a fundamentally different track from the one it had traveled for most of the 20th century. He felt that electric utilities had lost the bedrock confidence of the public, largely as a result of their unsuccessful gamble with nuclear power. During this time, a small but growing industry of alternative suppliers generating power from natural gas-fired co-generation and renewable energy plants (wind power, biomass, hydro and solar), spurred by Congress's passage in 1978 of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, were finding markets for their power. These alternative suppliers formed the vanguard of what has now proved to be a highly competitive business: selling power in large quantities at the wholesale level (for resale to end users). The Journal is now the principal print venue for those who are, with their ideas, forging the new shape and design of the electricity/energy industry. The component pieces of the Journal; articles, a news summary, features, letters and editorials; comprise a print version of a town hall meeting for the most thoughtful and influential people in the business:• Utility and independent power executives;• Federal and state regulators;• Consultants and lawyers;• Academics specializing in the field; and• Sophisticated customer and environmental representatives.Their continuing discussions about such matters as transmission access and pricing, energy trading, mergers and de-mergers, market power, the changing role of regulation, corporate strategy, and overseas investment are covered more cogently in the pages of The Electricity Journal than in any other print medium.Addresses to contact for other information.
