The Empirica publishes empirical and theoretical work on all economic aspects of European Integration. The topics may range from all challenges concerning the deepening of the European Union (Single Market, Lisbon Agenda, EMU) to enlargement and the external relations of the EU (globalisation). This implies studies on the present status of as well as the future trends of the Single Market (competition policy, innovation systems, growth policy aspects addressed by the Lisbon Agenda, labour market and product market reforms, exploring the advancement towards a common social model) and the further development of the EU’s economic order and economic system as well as all problems of economic and social policy. BBA Molecular and Cell Biology of Lipids publishes papers on original research dealing with novel aspects of molecular genetics related to the lipidome, the biosynthesis of lipids, the role of lipids in cells and whole organisms, the regulation of lipid metabolism and function, and lipidomics in all organisms. Manuscripts should significantly advance the understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying biological processes in which lipids are involved. Brain Topography publishes clinical and basic research on cognitive neuroscience and functional neurophysiology using the full range of imaging techniques including EEG, MEG, fMRI, TMS, diffusion imaging, spectroscopy, intracranial recordings, lesion studies, and related methods. Submissions combining multiple techniques are particularly encouraged, as well as reports of new and innovative methodologies. Brain Topography is also an appropriate venue for case/clinical studies from one or a cohort of patients/subjects that provide insights into the neural basis of a psychiatric or neurological impairment and/or the efficacy of a novel therapy. Such studies should be of sufficiently broad interest to both clinical and basic researchers. Examinations of the function of a specific brain region or regions in patients or animal models would also be appropriate, provided that they demonstrate clear relevance and applicability to humans. The Netherlands International Law Review (NILR) is one of the world’s leading journals in the fields of public and private international law. The NILR is published by T.M.C. Asser Press, in cooperation with the T.M.C. Asser Instituut, and is distributed by Springer International Publishing. T.M.C. Asser Instituut, an inter-university institute for Private and Public International Law and European Law, was founded in 1965 by the law faculties of the Dutch universities. The Institute is responsible for the promotion of education and research in international law.

This review aims to compare approaches to medical ethics and bioethics in two forms, Anglo-Saxon (Ethics, Medicine and Public Health) and French (Ethique, Médecine et Politiques Publiques). Thus, in their native languages, the authors will present research on the legitimacy of the practice and appreciation of the consequences of acts towards patients as compared to the limits acceptable by the community, as illustrated by the democratic debate.

Experimental Techniques is a bimonthly interdisciplinary publication of the Society for Experimental Mechanics focusing on the development, application and tutorial of experimental mechanics techniques.The purpose for Experimental Techniques is to promote pedagogical, technical and practical advancements in experimental mechanics while supporting the Society's mission and commitment to interdisciplinary application, research and development, education, and active promotion of experimental methods to:- Increase the knowledge of physical phenomena- Further the understanding of the behavior of materials, structures, and systems- Provide the necessary physical observations necessary to improve and assess new analytical and computational approaches.Experimental Techniques accepts articles that focus on practical applications of experimental mechanics and innovative techniques used to create engineering solutions. Gene Therapy covers both the research and clinical applications of the new genetic therapy techniques currently being developed. Husserl Studies is an international forum for the presentation, discussion, criticism, and development of Husserl's philosophy. It also publishes papers devoted to systematic investigations in the various philosophical sub-areas of phenomenological research (e.g., theory of intentionality, theory of meaning, ethics and action theory, etc.), where such work is oriented toward the development, adaptation, and/or criticism of Husserlian phenomenology. Husserl Studies also invites contributions dealing with phenomenology in relation to other directions in philosophy such as hermeneutics, critical theory, and the various modes of analytic philosophy. The aim, in keeping with Husserl's own philosophical self-understanding, is to demonstrate that phenomenology is a reflective and methodologically disciplined form of philosophical inquiry that can and must prove itself through its handling of concrete problems. Thus Husserl Studies provides a venue for careful textual work on Husserl's published and unpublished writings and for historical, systematic, and problem-oriented phenomenological inquiry. It also publishes critical reviews of current work on Husserl, and reviews of other philosophical literature that has a direct bearing on the themes and areas of interest to Husserl Studies.

The IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (TCCN) is committed to timely publishing of high-quality manuscripts that advance to the state-of-the-art of cognitive communications and networking research. Cognitive in this context means the applications of perception, learning, reasoning, memory and adaptive approaches in the design of communication systems. The transactions will consider submissions in the broad area of cognitive communications and networks, with an emphasis on taking holistic and possibly trans-disciplinary approach on design of complex communications systems. The core topics covered include (but are not limited to): architecture, protocols, cross-layer, and cognition cycle design for cognitive networks, machine learning and artificial intelligence for cognitive communications and networks, end-to-end and distributed intelligence at and beyond all layers of communications, software-defined networking, cognitive radios, spectrum sharing, trading and relevant economical aspects of networks, security and privacy issues in cognitive networks, novel emerging services and applications enabled by such concepts.

IEEE Women in Engineering Magazine is the first magazine to focus on issues facing women who study or work in IEEE's fields of interest. The premiere issue, published in 2008, featured articles covering the political and international issues surrounding technology, including cultural differences in the workplace.

IEEE WIE strives to:

• recognize women's outstanding achievements in electrical and electronics engineering through IEEE Awards nominations;
• organize receptions at major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote membership in WIE;
• advocate women in leadership roles in IEEE governance and career advancement for women in the profession;
• provide assistance with the formation of new WIE Affinity Groups and support ongoing activities;
