International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology is the first scholarly, peer-reviewed journal that publishes critical reviews of research literature in sport and exercise psychology. Typically, these reviews evaluate relevant conceptual and methodological issues in the field and provide a critique of the strengths and weaknesses of empirical studies that address common themes or hypotheses. The reviews present summaries of, and conclusions about, the current state of knowledge concerning topics of interest, as well as assessments of relevant unresolved issues and future trends. Reviews of research literature on theories, topics and issues that are at the interface with mainstream psychology are especially welcome.Submissions:Although research on sport and exercise psychology is expanding rapidly, it is difficult to locate comprehensive, authoritative and up-to-date literature reviews in this field. In an attempt to fill this major gap, International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology (IRSEP) welcomes submissions containing substantial (up to 8,000 words in length) critical and integrative reviews of the research literature in sport and exercise psychology. Ideally, such scholarly papers should summarise the current state of knowledge about a given topic or question, provide critical assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of previous studies in the field, evaluate relevant conceptual and methodological issues, identify emerging trends in the literature and outline potentially fruitful avenues for further research. Manuscripts that contain reviews of research literature on theories, topics and issues at the interface with mainstream psychological science are especially appropriate for the journal. Equally welcome are integrative research reviews that propose theoretical connections between different areas of research within sport and exercise psychology and/or between topics and issues in this field and those in mainstream psychology. Papers of the highest standard are accepted over a wide range of topics (see forthcoming articles). Longer reviews may be considered at the Editor's discretion, should they be considered to make a substantial contribution to the field. Basin Research is an international journal which aims to publish original, high impact research papers on sedimentary basin systems. We view integrated, interdisciplinary research as being essential for the advancement of the subject area; therefore, we do not seek manuscripts focused purely on sedimentology, structural geology, or geophysics that have a natural home in specialist journals. Rather, we seek manuscripts that treat sedimentary basins as multi-component systems that require a multi-faceted approach to advance our understanding of their development. During deposition and subsidence we are concerned with large-scale geodynamic processes, heat flow, fluid flow, strain distribution, seismic and sequence stratigraphy, modelling, burial and inversion histories. In addition, we view the development of the source area, in terms of drainage networks, climate, erosion, denudation and sediment routing systems as vital to sedimentary basin systems. The underpinning requirement is that a contribution should be of interest to earth scientists of more than one discipline.

Concepts in Magnetic Resonance consolidates the lore of magnetic resonance into effective and easily understandable presentations for practitioners. The journal provides a forum for researchers to discuss fundamental aspects of magnetic resonance, both old and new, that relate to their research, but are difficult to include in a research paper. Such articles are clearly valuable to the larger magnetic resonance community in conveying an understanding of basic principles and are expected to be useful for instruction in research settings. Media Psychology is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing theoretically-oriented empirical research that is at the intersection of psychology and media communication. These topics include media uses, processes, and effects. Such research is already well represented in mainstream journals in psychology and communication, but its publication is dispersed across many sources. Therefore, scholars working on common issues and problems in various disciplines often cannot fully utilize the contributions of kindred spirits in cognate disciplines. By providing a high-quality, common publication outlet for psychologists, communication researchers, human developmental specialists, and other scholars who are interested in the psychological consequences of the broad spectrum of communication media, potentially fertile cross-disciplinary work can flourish. Although most of the published articles will report original empirical research that bridges media communication and psychology, state-of-the-art reviews and meta-analyses that provide a major synthesis of primary research findings in a pivotal area will be considered. Studies of messages using single exemplars must include justification for the message selection and implications for generalizability. Manuscripts will be judged by the degree to which they contribute to theory and advance the body of knowledge about the psychology of uses, processes, or effects of the media.
